Saddlebrook - Saddlebrook Course

5700 Saddlebrook Way Wesley Chapel, FL 33543-4499 URL:   Course Website

View Tee Times

The Saddlebrook course just opened with new greens in December, 2006 and is much tighter and flatter, with narrow tree-lined fairways and water on most holes. The 18-hole, par 70 Saddlebrook Course is conveniently designed so that the first tees of both courses and the 10th tee of the Saddlebrook course are located at the center of the resort, adjacent to meeting and guest rooms, restaurants and shops. The layout was designed by golf legend Arnold Palmer, incorporating wilderness areas full of cypress, pines, palms and wildlife with rolling fairways and well maintained greens.

Saddlebrook - Saddlebrook Course 4 5 84 84
Good conditions Always enjoy playing this course. Normally too expensive but got a good price on GolfNow. The conditions were very good and an employee brought out cold towels during our round. Greens a little slow and grainy. June 26, 2014
Good experience The Saddlebrook course was very enjoyable. Its a fairly tight layout with an interesting mix of doglegs and straight holes. Very pretty setting with lots of water and trees. Very much a "Florida" course. June 23, 2014
Very nice course This course might be a Par 70 but don't let that fool you. You really have to play strategic golf here. I'm used to grip it and rip it :-) . I was paired up with one of the locals so I got a lot of pointers on course management. The course was in great shape. The only issue I had if you want to call it an issue, was you have to Valet park(but it is covered by your golf with a stamp from clubhouse) But remember its a resort so be prepared to tip and tip... and did I say tip(for those people who tip) . When I arrived I was told I had to valet park... After playing my round the local who I played with showed me where I could park... by the tennis courts... June 23, 2014
Bring your money because all you do is tip everyone The first thing one notices when getting to this property is the lack of directions to the golf course...there aren't any. One has to know you go to the resort to check in and they call a golf cart guy to drive you to the course. When you go to the resort you have to valet your car, thereby tipping the first person. Once the cart guy takes you to the golf shop, you tip that person. The guys in pro shop seem to be a bit snooty because this is a RESORT. You then drive 4 minutes back to where you originally drove in to get to the driving range. Of course that is poorly marked as well so you drive through neighborhoods hoping you are headed in the right direction. You then go back to the area where the pro shop is and it's time to tee off. You tip the guy who loads your bag and tells you a little about the course. To get to the first tee you have to drive everywhere around the resort trying to find the starter. The course is okay. The greens are so freaking slow but so were the men's group (members) they put us behind as a twosome. When we finished playing, we got lost trying to find our way back to the pro shop. There are absolutely no directions telling you how to get back. Okay so now we have guys coming to clean your clubs and you tip them, and finally you tip the guy who brings your car back. Then you tip the guys who put your clubs in your vehicle so you can leave and never come back. This is an old resort and it sure looks like it. Play someplace else like Quail Hollow!! June 5, 2014
Vastly Improved Played "the Brook" on 5/21/14, about 2 weeks after latest aeration. I've played this course many times over the past 10 years. Two months ago I despaired about its condition. WOW, was I pleasantly surprised with the improvement over the last months. Course played great--lots of good grass in the fairways, rough tough, and greens were very good. Much Much improved, and look forward to a return trip soon. May 22, 2014
Saddlebrook - Saddlebrook Course This was our get-a-way day so we were just looking for something close to the airport. What a great surprise. We booked blindly on Golf Now and had no expectations. The resort was clean, the staff friendly, the food was very good and the golf was excellent. Will return again, maybe next time we will stay at the resort! May 14, 2014
Senic Layout Course was very well designed. Greens putted very slow, too bad because every other aspect was excellent. May 10, 2014
Good, but... My group of 4 golfers and I were very excited when Saddlebrook popped up on the hot deals for just $42. It's reputation is pretty impressive. The course layout is pretty challenging and very eye-catching. However; for a "fancy/private-esque" golf course, we found ourselves on less than wonderful lies in fairways and just off the fairway and even the greens had some dead areas and rough spots. The course is still nice and I can still recommend it, but it did fall short in the sense that none of us walked away thoroughly impressed and itching to find a way back. Hopefully next time we play it'll be back to pristine condition! April 28, 2014
