A pleasurable challenge with excellent greens; very welcoming staff.
The course provides a pleasurable challenge with a choice of tee positions that accommodates the level of challenge you feel up to on any given round. The greens were in excellent condition and were fast; however, they provided a fair challenge as they were consistent and you could adapt to the pace compared to other slower courses I have played recently. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the course was relatively quiet, allowing us to play at a very comfortable pace as a four-ball without ever being rushed or held up; I played as a singleton last month and enjoyed a similar experience. Well recommended; I will be playing again soon

Very slow play
It would have been good to know beforehand that there is a league on Wednesdays. Tee time was 4:30, and because the back 9was shut due to the league, we did not tee off until 5:18. Therefore, we were not able to finish the round. So unless you just want to get 9 holes in, don't play there on Wednesday afternoons.

Greens were very nice and very fast. Course rough around the edges.
Was only decent price available on Easter weekend. The greens were outstanding and extremely fast. Fairways were a little thin and course was rough around the edges. I decided to play the back tees and it made for a tough course.

Great Greens!
Greens run fast and true. Play this course if you like putting. Play from the back tees to get the best enjoyment and shot angles.

Nice greens, good fairways
They had a tournament go off at 1:30. Way over booked. Tee time 2:10, finally got a cart because of the tournament at 2:45 didn't get to tee off till 3:00. The round with the amount of people took 5 hours. Needless to say we were not happy. Everyone there was not happy. It is in the middle of town which means it will always be packed, I will not go back there.

I play this course because of the greens.
Pace of play is usually pretty slow.. groups always get backed up when I play in the afternoon. But I love the fast greens and they have such a true roll. The course isn't super challenging but its no piece of cake either. Overall its a great value if you don't mind playing a little slow.

This is probably the worst conditioned course I have ever played.
The greens were excellent as they are reasonably new, however, the rest of the course was disgusting. There is absolutely no grass on the fairways, the tee blocks were littered with broken tees and badly beaten up. I will never go back nor will I recommend it to anyone.

Good layout - poorly managed
Greens were in good condition. Grass on the fairways was sparse. Course management was non existent. It took us 5 ¼ hours to play. Twosomes and foursomes magically appeared in front of us. While preparing to putt on a par three, a ball from the foursome behind us landed on the green. Did not see a ranger.

Slow play with no course ranger.
A 5-hour round here is the standard. There was no ranger to be seen on the course to monitor speed of play. Players in front of my group did not rake traps or repair ball marks on the green. This is a nice course layout, with fairly new greens. It's unfortunate that play is not being monitored to provide a more enjoyable golfing experience.

Some very challenging water holes.
Just enough water to make it challenging but not so much to make it ridiculous. A nice course for the money. The greens were fast but not where you had to baby every putt.

They pack way too many people on
Had a 1:43 tee time and didn't tee off until 2:30pm. Round took 5 hours with 3 4-somes and a 5-some ahead of us. Decent conditions, but tee boxes could use some work. Got the rate of $20 off golfnow so it was worth the money. Fun course, overall decent.

Fair at best.
Decent greens, friendly staff, but fairways were terrible. Hard and compacted. Even though price was a factor in my choice, I was expecting a much better experience for my money. Lack of any grass to speak of on the fairways was a big let down.

Surprisingly good greens.
Was there on a weekday afternoon, and the course was pretty open. Tees and fairways are a bit rough, but the greens were in surprisingly good shape, and rolling pretty fast. Excellent value for a weekday afternoon of golf.

Superb greens
Pace of play needs some help. No ranger to keep pace of play moving. Great layout and greens are fast yet responsive.

Good layout but course has deteriorated
Too bad this course has been let go. Fairways are terrible!! but the greens are ok. Won't go back. And pace of play was awful.

Do not go!!
This is a descent course but the owners and management want the staff to over book the course, I had a tee time at 10:40am and had to wait until 11:00 for other player to get off the course to get a cart!!! And than wait until 11:40 to tee off. Only played nine cuz it was 2:30pm and just a bad experience all around. So do not go to this course!!!

Good condition and greens are fast...maybe 10.5 or 11?
Course is in good condition and greens seem faster than the 10 posted by the practice green. Fairways are fairly hard. Most roll I've seen and have been playing Northday for 20 years.
Would have given it a higher rating on condition but grass is sparse/barren in some areas immediatly off a few greens. Ugly lies.

Good value, a few challenging holes
We enjoyed the course. We teed off before about 845am and pace of play was good as the threat of rain kept many golfers away.
The greens were top dressed just prior to our arrival and made for some very messy putting and balls. Being wet balls were covered with sand. While I dont think the sand affected the speed all that much It did the break in my opinion. I was very disappointed with that and would not have made a tee time on GolfNow had I known the greens would be in the shape they were in.
Played the course once prior and would definitely play again.

The greens were outstanding - the rest of the course was better than average
DO NOT PLAY THIS COURSE IN THE AFTERNOON ON WEEKENDS!!! We had a 1:07pm tee time but did not tee of for about an hour late because there were no golf carts available. . The course has 72 golf carts and all were on the course by 12:00 - that means at least two groups per hole. There was a 40 minute wait for golf carts to come off the 18th hole (obviously due to extremely slow play). Once we finally teed off, the course played fairly fast for the first 7 holes (due to lack of carts and delayed tee times) - after that we waited on every hole. It was almost dark when we played the last hole (6:30pm). No way people that teed off after us finished their 18 holes.

Great layout. Unfortunate location
This course is a lot of fun to play, but you must be patient. Any tee time on the weekend will be at least a 5 hr round. A lot of beginners and people period golf here and they will over book the course so just be prepared for a very long round. Even during the week

Long wait
I have played Northdale about four times and every time I have played there has been a line of groups waiting to start. This time they did not have our group in the system and had to squeeze us in after I produced the confirmation email. There was already four groups ahead of us waiting to go at our teetime. The entire afternoon was spent waiting at teeboxes. The course was in good shape, but unless you want to spend the day sitting and waiting I'd recemmend another course.

Greens in dire need
The course has a challenging layout for the novice but with course management in mind on most holes bogey or par is a good score. For the experienced golfer holes can be easily parred and even birdied. Unfortunately, the greens are in pitiful shape and in dire need of maintenance or a complete makeover. As for the fairways and surrounding roughs, bunkers and landscape, overall in very good condition. For some reason they were allowing twosomes to go out one after the next, which caused waiting periods on the tee boxes and in the fairways. There was no reason why foursomes couldn't have become established.

Northdale had great service the cart girl was always around
Nice track our cart died on 17 hole called pro shop and they were out within 3 minutes. Would play again.

Exceptional value, Consistently great greens
One of my favorite courses because of the consistently good experience when playing there. The greens are almost always rolling at a 9-10 stimpmeter speed. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

a neighborhood track with interesting holes.
A fun course to play with a bit of everything to offer. won't bowl you over with amenities or pristine conditions but worth playing at a discounted price.
