Oak Hills Nice layout. Greens were ok. Fairways spotty. Fair condition, which was better then I expected. Very playable. July 2, 2014
Where's the "green" on the Greens? First time to play this course. I did manage three Birdies on the back 9. However, the Greens are in horrible conditions. Why they even put the cups in these bald areas is dumbfounding. The Greens need a lot of work, the fairways are in really bad shape due to the baldness and sandy lies EVERY WHERE imaginable. Although, I will come back as I am teaching my 9 yr old Stepson how to play. The Front Tee separations will give him a chance to "keep up" until he gains better ball striking. The layout is really nice and easy for my game to have multiple shaped shots off the Tees...What makes it difficult is the lack of firm ground on the fairway. Perfect drives in the middle of the fairways are left with those "fluffy, dusty" lies with hardly any "solid" turf to strike on...Mentally, it will start to catch up on you as time and time again, you get penalized with a perfect drive, approach and GIR to be ruined by the course's conditions. Fun course I have played the course 4 times and still enjoy it. Not the nicest course around but a fun track. May 17, 2014
Design yes....Conditions, do a U turn and RUN I was invited to this course by some long time golf buddies and accepted the invite for a 16$ green fee with cart. From the moment I turned into the property you can see that its run down. The entrance sign looks to be original from when the course was built, pot holes in the drive up to the trailer "clubhouse" . Their website lists a pro shop but there isn't one. Zero equipment for sale except for two fish bowls of used golf balls. A large driving range but the tees weren't mowed and it was very tough to find an even lie to hit from. The layout is very nice with a lot of elevation and varying dog legs going both ways No lakes, ponds, or any type of water hazards on the entire course and its pretty wide open with minimal bunkers.. Maintenance is non existent here. The greens were horrible with more dirt than grass on all 18 holes. Fairways were dry and patchy and the tees are uneven and patchy as well. Then entire facility seems to be in dire need of attention. It probably was once a nice place but its very dated and completely neglected. Save your money and time and look elsewhere. These are the poorest conditions I've seen on a Golfnow couse. May 10, 2014
Golf the golf course will be really good in a week.it just got punched in sanded. April 25, 2014
Worst course ever played Not at all maintained. Staff unfriendly. They should keep cattle out there instead of golfers. Not worth the money April 18, 2014
Fair course conditions This is the worst conditions I've seen since I began playing this course 2 years ago, fairways very dry and sparse. Twice in one day our clubs fell from the carts, it's happened before, I chipped a couple of my clubs and when we went to make a complain, the girl behind the counter literally told us we were wasting our time and she really didn't care. This is the worst public relations experience I've ever encountered at a golf course, will never return and will never recommend to anyone. April 17, 2014
NEEDS COMPLETE UPGRADE COURSE IN WORSE SHAPE IT HAS BEEN IN YEARS, IT IS FOR SALE I HOPE SOMEONE BUYS IT AND AT LEAST GET IT BACK IN PLAYABLE CONDITION. IT WILL BE AN ASSET TO THE AREA. April 12, 2014
