Great value! Course is a good layout in overall good shape. Greens were in very good shape turf wise but slow. Very enjoyable round! July 15, 2014
New owners are definitely making a difference I don't leave a review for a course until I've played it at least twice and yesterday was my third time playing Cimarrone. I've only been playing golf since Oct. of last year, so this course is still very challenging for me, but I played it twice in the last week, because it was a great deal for a course that looks amazing compared to what I saw when I first played it in Dec. The fairways are in pretty good shape, the greens are looking great, the food was awesome, and all of the staff was very friendly and helpful. This is not an easy course for beginners though and I would bring a lot of balls regardless of how well you play. The course has an awesome layout, but it feels almost like playing a beach course with all of the water hazards. July 11, 2014
Cimarrone Golf Course in great shape, greens were aerated Monday and play on Saturday, not bad at all. July 6, 2014
Great valuue Best value in the South Jacksonville/St. Augustine Area. Friendly staff, nice clubhouse and pro shop. Recently airated greens made for bumpy rolls. Pace of play was great - ready golf got us through the course in three hours. July 4, 2014
Horrible experience I played cimarrone today with my brother in laws, father in law, and aunt. We teed off at 7 am to get started early and go quickly. When we checked in they told us we could only play the back nine, but we would get to play it twice because of aerating the greens. When we finished the first nine, we noticed a long line of carts waiting to tee off. Long as in ELEVEN foursomes long. There was NO starter. We waited fifteen minutes, then went inside. Everyone was complaining because of the log jam. Inside the guy at the front desk tried to be nice about it. He said we could talk to the manager to try to get a raincheck. The manager of the golf course - the one that was jacked up on the starting hole - was in his office doing paper work. He had not gone to see/fix the mess his course was in. When we addressed it, he made some general comment about it being crowded. That's a no-brainer. He didn't even look up from his paper work. His job is to MANAGE the course. Instead, he mismanaged the most important thing to him - his customers. I will never play that course again...and you shouldn't either. July 1, 2014
The coarse was in great shape The entire coarse, tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in great shape. Coarse is definitely a challenge but a lot of fun. June 30, 2014
Course is becoming number one. Course has changed from one year ago, back into beautiful challenging layout. It's incredible what a new owner that cares for the course can do. Back to becoming the number one hot spot to go in the area, you can't beat the price. I would recommend everyone to come and enjoy this amazing course! In order to experience the challenge of water, tight greens and rolling fairways with great care. See you out on the course. June 28, 2014
Nice course Very nice course. Lots of water most holes are reasonably wide open - which i find is rare for courses close to ocean. Would play again for sure June 26, 2014
