Great course to play Challenging course - don't be fooled by the open fairways, watch ball placement - nearly every shot your feet are either below or above the ball !! May 22, 2015
Never Again I walk into the pro shop around noon on May 21st. The guy working the counter says nothing. No "Hello", no" What can I do for you?" NOTHING! He simply stares. Finally, after a few uncomfortable moments, I explain that I have a rain check, and that my daughter and I are walk-ups. He takes the rain check and he still has not uttered one word. He finally speaks and informs me that I owe $7 and change which surprised me a bit. When I questioned him about the $7,he explains in a not-so -friendly voice. He then lets me walk halfway across the pro shop before letting me know that I need to get a cart key from him. Unfortunately my 16 year daughter had to witness all this. And people wonder why kids aren't playing golf! Oh, before I forget, the course was I bad shape. The fairways were tolerable, but had many weeds. The greens are just about gone, with very little grass. I think dirt Stimps at about a 15! May 21, 2015
Nice setup and great value The course was in great shape with a nice layout. Definitely a great value for $16. May 16, 2015
a Great Day of Golf Three of us played, two for the first time at Summerfield. The course was challenging with two of the dog legs at almost 90 degrees, plenty of water and even more brush. Facilities weer nice and the staff was friendly. There is limited room at the driving range and the pace was a little slow...but I would play there again! May 3, 2015
No fun Much better places to play. Poor condition and very slow play. April 20, 2015
best I have ever seen it course was in excellent shape nice fairways and quick truegreen April 17, 2015
I'll play Summerfield again This course is great to play any time of year. Pace of play was great and staff was friendly. The Island hole, sort of like TPC Sawgrass, is one of my favorite in all of the Tampa Bay area. April 14, 2015
Facilities in poor shape First the good news. The greens are in decent shape, and the bunkers were well kept. That's about where it ends. The clubhouse is extremely run down. The bathrooms on the the course are disgusting. There was no drink cart...and most of the water jugs were empty on the back nine. The pace of play was extremely slow. An "Ambassador" rides around in a golf cart and waves to everybody as he comments on him keeping the groups moving along. The Ambassador simply drove by, waved, and said "beautiful day". I guess pace of play is not his responsibility. So, overall, the course is fair, the facilities are falling apart, and the pace of play is not monitored. The driving range is a dirt pit. I'll be crossing this course off my list. April 13, 2015
