Pass on this track. Hard to believe they allow 'Sawgrass' to be associated with this course. Many other reviews regarding this course spot on. Greens were pretty bad. No consistency (except bad). Miss fairway and rough will eat your ball. Showed up 45 minutes early and no range balls. Kid was sitting in picker and didn't move until only one guy on range tees. Only plus was playing with my buds and the pace was pretty good. Wide open. No cart gal and no drinking water on course. Far too many better course in Jax. I'll not return. July 18, 2015
Worth the Golf Now price, but keep handle on expectations The course is a nice design! The fairways are ok, the greens are horrible, the rough is a lot of weeds- tall weeds, and the bunkers are mud- no sand. It is a nice course design, and with Golf Now you can play for 35$ so it is worth the money. I understand that it is being bought (again), so If the new owners put some money into it, it could be a real nice course. When I went (730 am tee time), the bar wasn't open and there was no beverage cart until after 10am, I believe to cut costs. I recommend the course for high handicappers that are trying to get better, but low handicappers may get upset by the conditions. July 17, 2015
will not play here again Worst condition of a golf course charging $35+ that I"ve ever played. I lost over 5 balls in the "ruff" because they hadn't mowed in weeks, I'd guess at least a month. The greens were like putting over the Sahara, there was no keeping a straight line. It was a beautife 90+ degree Sunday morning however no cart girl or water coolers/fountains, so you can imagine how the back 9 felt. Windor is the same price, maybe $5 more, and 100x in better shape! Don't waste your time You would think that this course would be pretty good given its proximity to PGA headquarters and the fact that it is located in a development that is able to generated decent HOA fees to maintain this corurse. However, lower your expectations because this has to be one the poorest golf courses in the area. July 13, 2015
Nice course but needs some work The fairways were in good shape. Greens could use a bit of work. The worst part of the course was the rough. We lost a lot of balls in the rough that were definitely in play, but the grass was so long that we just could not find them. As far as service goes, we only one drinking fountain on the entire course. it was mid-90s and there was no cart service either. That made for a long day. Overall, the course is nice, but does needs some work. July 12, 2015
Very poor green conditions limit enjoyment of good design I enjoyed the visual design elements of the course but was disappointed with the condition of the greens , fairways and bunkers .... Almost all greens had dead patches and were very very rough .... Fairways were average and generally at a muni level .... All bunkers were not raked , hard packed and/or flooded from recent rains. I'd be able to recommend this course if the greens were playable ..... July 8, 2015
Horrible course This course is one of the worst courses I have played in Jacksonville. The greens are just horrible, this place is no fun. June 29, 2015
They should take sawgrass off of the sign! The greens suck! My front lawn has a better putting surface! June 27, 2015
