Mr. H This course was in horriable condition. I would not pay $1 to play this course. No grass on the greens and no grass on the fairways. The only grass on the course was in the bunkers. This course is a disgrace to the game. June 25, 2015
great value three of us played 18 holes with carts for less than $50. nice long course and super friendly staff. will be back June 14, 2015
Needs work The new owners have been there since April they have a lot of work to do to get the course back in shape but it has potential !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! June 9, 2015
Bad condition!! Has new management. Hopefully they can get this course cleaned up. Greens were really rough. Fairways weren't even mowed. Sand traps had water, no sand, and grass growing in them. June 6, 2015
Panama City has an 18 Hole full size community golf course again Bay Dunes has been resurrected. I stumbled on it on the internet looking it up recently out of curiosity, called a listed phone number and got an actual person believe it or not! (872-1667/1704) Give it your business, and play your game. Of course, give them time to thin out the roughs, green up and smooth out the greens, water in what Mother nature hasn't rained on to, also so they can give us clean soft white sand to play in with our beach balls. I had fun playing it, I learned I had to commit to staying within Fairway/Greens regulation hits from now on, which significantly helped my game anyway; straight and sure. Anyway, the greens are pretty fast and smooth, good 'as ever here', use your irons out of the rough or else you'll never get out. I got better in 3 days using my head(103, 87, 81). Hold your head down, hit clean, straight and get on the greens. ALWAYS WATCH EVERY SHOT TILL YOU SEE EXACTLY WHERE IT ENDS UP! Nice new mgmt. I'll brag that I got 2 birdies on hole 16, and birdied 18 my first time ever by landing on the green within 5' of the hole using my 7 iron and then putting in. So you see, even while the course is 'in the works' you can still have memorable moments! May 27, 2015
Dump Golf If you have played this course before you know what I mean when I say "dump golf". The course was about what I expected to see. The greens (??) were fast but it was like putting on a washboard. You never knew where the ball would go. No water on the course, not even a hose at the equipment shack. So if its hot spend some dollars in the pro shop or be very dehyrated. I guess for the price its ok. You get to hit balls and your would spend at least double the price to go across the bridge. But be warned you get what you pay for. May 26, 2015
Visiting from Ohio I choose this course because it had the cheapest deal for a twosome in the area but it would've been better to pay for a 70 dollar course. First thing if you play at lunchtime be sure to eat first in Panama City. The course is in the middle of nowhere and does not offer any food or alcohol. The grounds are so poorly kept you cannot tell what is fairway, rough, tee box, or greens. Basically it's like someone went out dug pins and pu markers 350 yards away and called it a golf course. Putting was like playing a game of plinko on the Price Is Right. I diffently wouldn't recommend this course to anyone even though it is the cheapest in the area. In fact I wouldn't recommend Panama City as a golfing destination for all the well kept courses are 60-90 dollars and not anything better than say Myrtle Beach which ranges around 30-50. May 19, 2015
Goat track Positives: 1: Pretty good layout only a few Mickey Mouse shots to hit. 2: New management company seems positive about the future and was friendly Negatives: 1: No one has watered the course in about two years. Hard as a rock and little grass, even the greens. 2: See number 1 3: "new owners" took over about a month ago "and are ready to get it back in shape" yet no one was doing ANY work on the course?!?!?!? 4: See 1, 2, 3.
