Twin Rivers Golf Club 3.2 5 37 37
Needs some water and some TLC This is a fun golf course - and pretty tight. The course needs some heavy watering - very dry, especially the tee boxes. Greens could be a little more manicured, and cut a little faster. Great family course Great value - I have paid a whole lot more to play on a whole lot worse courses! Rental clubs were below average - and need a good cleaning. Staff and food in grille were great. Note - our pace of play was slow, not the course; we let a few groups go thru because we didn't want to be rushed - my son was playing for the first time in 5+years April 4, 2013
Close to campus UCF The course is pretty tie, some of the green may need attention but everything else on the course is in good shape. One thing that Twin River display was how professional the staff are towards anyone that walks in, the starter at one point asked me if I needed a ride back to my truck, since I was walking from the driving range. I left and forgot my wallet in the golf car, guess what? everything was still there you can't buy Honest employees, thank you again Twin River's you all are winners in my book!!!!!!!! March 17, 2013
Don't Do It!!! I keep going here for some odd reason as it is close to my house and the price is usually fair. The course is alright, the greens are slow and do not run true. So don't expect to make any putts unless you're lucky. The greens are not very big and your approach shot requires precision or you will be playing out of the sand a lot. Every green is protected by a minimum of two bunkers, an most have three on all sides which makes the course pretty difficult. The biggest issue is the pace of play. There is no ranger making groups move at a decent pace. It took my twosome 2 hours to play holes 6-11 and we just had to quit. We got behind a bunch of hacks, who had their 5 year old drive the cart, run through bunkers without raking, and take 20 shots per hole. Everyone should be able to play golf but if you're a bad golfer who plays slow just stick to the range. However these types of players are mostly the norm and Twin Rivers and I'm finally giving up on the course. If you don't care how long your round. the course not being in that great of condition, and okay prices then this is the place for you! If not stay away. Drive the extra distance and pay the extra money to play somewhere nice in Orlando as this is not it! March 17, 2013
A good course playing and showing well The course was well maintained, the staff were helpful and friendly and the clubhouse grill had a good choice of food. If you want a quality course in picturesque surroundings, this is for you. March 15, 2013
First time for this Snowbird and I'll go back Twin Rivers is a very beautiful golf course and quite a challenge. Considering the overall lack of rainfall this winter, the course was in very good condition. Hope to get back one more time before heading north...but will definitely play it again next year. March 14, 2013
Course needs alot of attention!!! Played the course with 2 friends and enjoyed the round for the most part. The course was not crowded and we discovered why after we began our round. The fairways have quite a few bare spots, the greens were like hitting into concrete greens. The course really needs to be irrigated and maintained quite a bit better. I will not play again at this course until others report back that the conditions have improved. I live in central Florida and fortunately there are plenty of other great options available to me. The price I felt was fair when you consider the cart was included. I enjoyed quite a few of the holes, but was disappointed that quality shots were not rewarded with a good lie in the fairway. I would suggest playing short of the greens and allow the ball to run up. It was not the worst I have seen, but I would suggest caution when choosing this course. March 6, 2013
Great day of Golf Course was in nice condition. Pace of play was a little slow but not bad. Great value in the Orlando area. March 6, 2013
course has challenging features, but needs some tlc course is very challenging, however course needs a lot of attention, bunkers lack sand, greens were fuzzy anad play was extremely slow, will go back any time soon. March 3, 2013
Need more rakes in traps Most traps are big and only have one or no rakes near them. The traps could use some good sand. February 16, 2013
This course is great. Most of the course was in great shape. Greens were great.Only real problem was the slow play, too many people on a very nice day.Really like playing there though. February 11, 2013
Challenging course-well trapped, traps in good condition. Course knowledge is quite helpful due to the dog-leg/water holes. Greens were not in great condition, although puttable. Fairways were quite thin.Still, an interesting course. February 6, 2013
Good course...slow play!!! Teed off at 11:30 and finished around 4:45. We didn't see a ranger until hole 14. Otherwise $33 including a beer and lunch was a good deal. February 5, 2013
Course is well mantained and greens are good. Fairways and greens are in good shape. Some tee boxes need attention. February 5, 2013
Pretty good over all condition, but a little rough around the edges. Good layout, 6/10 condition. Lack of water coolers, and restrooms on course. Didn't see one restroom on course. Greens pretty consistent in speed and condition. February 4, 2013
Average course It is not a fancy country club but it is adequate for a fun round of golf. We play here often. The combo deal including lunch is a good value as the food is good and the service friendly. February 4, 2013
Would be super nice if maintained and sped up Pace of play was atrocious, 2.5+ on the front nine, almost quit after that. Bunkers are all unraked, some missing rakes. Greens had lots of unfixed ball marks. Seems most playing could care less about course condition or pace of play. Course staff needs to step up and assert some authority. February 2, 2013
Play this course every year Greens were in good shape. Enjoy this course every year when we come down fron up north. January 31, 2013
Challenging course with trees and bunkers Played this course 1/30/13 and found it challenging due to trees and bunkers. Not much water comes into play on this course but it is bunker heavy which do come into play on most holes. The course was in fair condition both fairways and greens. It needs more attention than it's currently getting to bring it up to good condition. The staff was friendly and welcoming both in the pro shop and the dining room area. Sparse ball cleaners, some torn ball rags on the cleaners that do exist, and some watering holes scattered throughout which is welcome on hot days. Carts run slower than some I've had at other courses but were reliable for a full 18 play. They do need one more sign to guide to hole 6 and one for 10. Easy to get lost and not find your way to the tee box. Range in decent shape for a range and tucked back in away from play. January 31, 2013
Good layout, needs better condition. Very good price and a nice layout with a good practice facility. Course condition needs improvement. Restaurant very reasonably priced with good food January 25, 2013
Nice Layout but poor conditions make course feel unfair Played it for the first time after mixed reviews from friends. Had to see for myself. Liked the layout as it should be a very challenging course. It's both lengthy and plays long and tight at times, but becasue of poor maintenance, leaves you with a bad experience of golf. Tee boxes are rounded and unlevel. Fairways need to be overseeded soon. Some greens, mostly the front nine very slow and need work. Back greens better shape but inconsistant speeds. Bunkers needs edging and rough was just that, in rough shape. I think if some true care for the course was given, it could be a nice round, but as is, I just kept saying "I like the layout, but just didn't enjoy the round because conditions made it unpleasant and constantly gave you poor lies, bad bounces and slow putts." Don't play it until some attention is given by maintenance. January 21, 2013
Challenging but not impossible. Well maintained. Good value for the money. Prices of refreshments are reasonable. The refreshment cart is constantly making the rounds. Some holes look intimidating but pars are possible even for an average player like me. January 19, 2013
Nice challanging course Twin Rivers has always been a challenging course. It has been kept in decent condition. I highly recommend it. January 6, 2013
Good over seed, greens rolled nicely, friendly staff Staff was very friendly and helpful. Course was in good condition because the winter grass came in well. Greens rolled very well. Bunkers either were not raked that day or the players in front of us were not raking (I would bet on the players in front of us not raking) This course has a very nice layout with hills, doglegs and trees January 1, 2013
like the course first hole par 4 nice starter very challanging w/sand traps surrounding green par 3` very tough especially over water from tee to green par 5`s were very challaging also loved the course. December 25, 2012
some challanging holes This was a fun course. We did it in just under 4 hours. The course had recieved 3 hours of heavy rain about 12 hours before we played and had drained great. Staff were friendly. With the exception of one green and the 18th fairway the course was in very good shape. We will play it again. December 22, 2012
Awful Experience Top 5 worse golfing experiences of my life. I have golfed here many times, but the last couple have been increasing frustrating. The last time was it for me. The pace of play is atrocious and many of the golfers do not allow you to play through. My last round I ended up leaving half way through and not even finishing. Even though the club house staff was nice, I never saw one ranger to monitor the pace of play. I will never return to this course. November 30, 2012
Way too many sand traps. Way too many sand traps. Each hole was surrounded by traps that ate up any ball not lobbed onto the green in pinpoint fashion. Not a fun experience for the recreational golfer. Sand traps also did not have very good drainage for the most part, so you would up hitting out of a combination of clay/mud. (There was not an excessive amount of rain in the 48 hours before we played, so the traps should have been adequately drained.) November 19, 2012
tough course This course seems long and has many hazards on dog legs that make accurate shots a must. Bring plenty of balls and watch water areas for alligators. No restrooms on course so plan accordingly though there are plenty of wooded areas for the guys. I would not take a beginner or a weak female player to Twin Rivers as they would probably not have fun....just too tough to play. November 8, 2012
Course was okay but the greens were horrible. I would play this course again if the greens are in better shape. The rest of the course was in great shape. November 7, 2012
Horrible Greens Greens were atrocious. One green was like putting in the sand trap. Most needed repair. Tee boxes were also rough. Fairways wetr decent. November 6, 2012
