The North, South, and East Nines offer a variety of mental and physical stimuli that test accuracy rather than strength and distance. The original North-South combination, marked by sharply ledged fairways, tall shaggy mounds, and plateau greens perched above water or sand, is a demanding, target-style test. The sportier, more wooded East Nine is more generous, with less bunkering (particularly in front of the greens) allowing for more run-up shots.

Within these 27 holes, the Jack Nicklaus Signature-designed North, South, and East Nines provide three distinctly unique 18-hole masterpieces. For the full round of 18, courses can be combined as the North-South, South-East, or East-North Course. Each combination provides a distinctive playing experience, which will challenge even the best of golfers.

Classic This was the final round of our 6 day tour, and we had saved the best for last. Being a Nicklaus course we knew it was going to be very challenging. But it was also fair. Amazing layout, plenty of water and well placed bunkers which made you think around the course rather than just bombing around. Fairways were super, well maintained as we saw huge crews of ground staff almost on every hole in the morning working on them. They never got in the way though. Super greens that were true roll. The clubhouse was fantastic, as well as all the staff. Highly recommend this to anyone. We hope to test the NEW course next time around! December 7, 2012
Awesome Best course in Orlando I have nothing but praise for this course. All of their courses are in great shape. The staff is friendly and helpful. Always on time. I travel to Orlando a couple of times a year and love playing this course. My wife loves playing this course as well. They even have a great bar and restaurant for dinner. Do not hesitate to book this course November 9, 2012
Think before you swing Played East/North. Beautiful course where you have to have your drives and wedges in place. Approach shots from wrong angles were challenging and making up & down after a missed green is not easy. I definitely need a rematch... April 7, 2013
The perfect ending to a great golf vacation We were very pleasantly surprised to get a round of golf at Grand Cypress at a very good price. This would be our final round of golf before returning home from a 2 month golf vacation. Driving into the complex was like arriving at one's own country club. At the entrance we were immediately greeted by a very pleasant young man who took our clubs, placed them on the cart and drove them to the pro shop area. The pro shop attendant would not register us until a half hour ahead of our tee time, so we took the time to have lunch in the very pleasant dining room. The service staff could not have been more pleasant or obliging. I am sure that a better Cobb salad has never been placed in front of me. Delicious and abundant. Sue had the fruit plate, which included several very fresh fruits including large, plump black berries. And the prices could not have been more reasonable. We were able to get started early. The starter was very engaging and pleasant. The course is well laid out, with many wonderful settings. Fairways are generous, but sand traps and bushes are strategically placed to catch errant tee shots. Greens are extremely well maintained and hold high shots very well. Best to play from tee boxes that allow for short to middle irons into the greens, since green side traps are very protective. Very difficult to run longer shots onto the greens and have a chance at a 2 putt. Our round of golf could not have been more enjoyable. Truly like being a member for a day. The $45 round was in the range of games at home, and are rare to find for this course. While the price was about $15 more than we had been paying on other equally satisfying courses, it was well worth the experience. April 4, 2013
course was awesome!!!! This course was very fun!!!! I am a novice but had a great time on this course April 3, 2013
Nice facilities and course. My enjoyment was spoilt by the very fast and undulating greens which resulted in too many putts (probably because I usualy play in England). Otherwise it was a nice place to play. April 2, 2013
It doesn't get any better than this. At the G.O. Resident rate it is the best value on the planet. The condition is superb but bring your A game as it can be humbling. The greens were very puttable as opposed to a speed of 12 in the summer. That doesn't mean they were slow just a 6 footer downhill would stay on the green. The staff wants each round to be a memorable one. You have to go. March 26, 2013
Great outing Slow play as expected at large resort but not super unbearable course was fun to play golfnow was a great deal cheaper 88 bucks vs 150 at the time we chose . March 25, 2013
East nine cannot compete with north or south... We played East and North. East is weak compared with north or south... but still a good layout. Overall conditions were good, pace on the second nine rather slow. Greens and bunkers in very good shape. Staff is very friendly. Due to hot deal the price was great! The restaurant offers very good meal and has very friendly staff too. March 22, 2013
great layout with some tricky greens i played the south east combo and both courses had some very interesting challenges. the east had better greens in my opinion but the south had the better layout. you better hit the ball on the correct part of the green or you will be finding yourself with some putts that resemble what you see at mini golf/putt putt. it's a great course and I look forward to playing it again. March 21, 2013
Its a fun layout if you play from the correct tee boxes The greeens were a little sparse in areas and were bumpy. March 18, 2013
Meh .... no plans to return Played for $49 from deal on this website for the North-South. I usually shoot in the low 90s. Whole facility feels kind of dated to me, very 1980s feel. Clubhouse especially, locker room was tiny. Wide open fairways on nearly every hole. Greens were extremely small and full of large slope, especially on the South course. And that's the main reason why I'm never going to return. I'm an average-ability golfer, and I simply found this course too difficult, especially in terms of greens. It was too difficult for me, and simply not fun. Too many holes with severely elevated greens, so if you missed the green, you had a very difficult chip, ones that even good players would struggle with. Pin positions were brutal on the day that we played. Visually, the course was .... meh. A Florida resort course. No stunning visuals at all. Flat, obviously. Employees were friendly in my limited interaction with them. Won't be too returning. Simply too difficult to be fun. March 18, 2013
Great Course - Lousy Customer Service So when you book on golfnow there is a footnote that you tee time could move 10-20 minutes. Not a big deal. However moving it 30 minutes is more then 20. Again not a huge deal if the course would at least attempt to have some sympathy for people's time and money. Grand Cypress however seems to employ people who thinks I should be lucky I'm playing on their course and don't seem to care about customer service. The young lady who took my money was very nice. The guy standing next to him who seemed to be doing nothing however could use a lesson in customer service. They also tried to charge me for range balls when they were free. I will say he is the only one that was rude and everyone else was friendly and the course was in great condition. But that one guy can just ruin your day. The course also played extremely slow and we only saw a marshal once on the 4th hole. Honestly if it wasn't for the slowness and the bad customer service I would have easily rated this a 4-5. And its more for the customer service. Will I play there again? Probably. March 18, 2013
Great!! Would definately enjoy playing here again. Great staff and course. March 17, 2013
We played N/S. Great layout, and lots of fun. Grand Cyprus is in a great location with excellent personal. The N/S has a challenging layout with fast greens, very nice for a 10 handicapper. I enjoyed every minute. I plan to return. TJM March 13, 2013
An awsome course an awsome course, great layout, greens are fast and true, and it is very challenging. March 12, 2013
First class It is an older Nicklaus course designed for his game. The high fade is a must, with narrow elevated greens with no oppurtunity to roll the ball onto the green. It is probably the most expensive course to maintain in the world. That said the new owners have the fairways rolling fast and the overly undulated greens running faster. This course will make all others seem easy. March 12, 2013
Course in gréât condition. My only comment is that the club did not have our reservations at our arrival. Fortunatly they were able to squeeze us in à bit later. March 5, 2013
Great facility, great layout, great course! I played the North and east nines - even though there is building work going on adjacent to I believe hole number 7 on the east nine, this course was terrific. I was paired up with two really nice guys from Panama and had a very enjoyable afternoon. February 22, 2013
Everything I'd expected Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Paired our two-some with two other singles and we all had a great round. Highly recommend the South/East courses. February 18, 2013
Lots of risk reward options, nice water features Nice course, interesting holes with options on pat 5's. Good bunkering. Enjoyable course. February 17, 2013
Great place to test your short game. Still a premier place to play, it will definately test your iron accuracy and short game for sure. Greens weren't as fast paced as in past, but conditions are still VERY good! Really enjoy playing here anytime we can find reasonable rate, regular rates are getting little steep....still a great one though! Definate must play when you can. February 15, 2013
Course was in wonderful shape, beautiful. Excellent! Would recommend to everyone! The course is beautiful and in excellent condition. February 14, 2013
Superb course conditions, awful pace of play. Marshalls are needed on the course to move players along. Six hours to play 18 holes is way too long. February 9, 2013
Good value, good condition and quick to get around. Treated very well by the on course staff. Proshop staff were unfirendly. Had the impression that since we bought using GolfNow we were not their best customers. Course and greens in excellent condition. Greens very fast. 3 1/2 hour round. February 7, 2013
Nice for the Money WE got a great rate thru Golfnow but if I had paid anywhere near the posted rate of $175 I would have been disappointed. While this is a Nicklaus course, overall the condition was not what I've experienced in other Nicklaus courses. Not to mention for the price you still have to pay for range balls. C'mon!! February 6, 2013
Great buy from golf now Played south/east combination . South 9 a lot nicer than east. Played in less than 3 1/2 hours. We saved over $100.00 compared to what couple that checked in before us paid by using golf now. February 5, 2013
Beautiful course, great condition Wonderful place, will definately play here again: Place is very well kept and the staff very friendly January 28, 2013
I rate this course a 10 overall on all phases. Course was exceptional condition was tough but fair for someone of my handicap. January 28, 2013
The GREENS! Great condition, interesting course but the South greens are just unfair. Very few areas too put pins. My only complaint is I felt like the pro shop person treated us differently (not in a good way) because we prepaid a discount rate on Golfnow. January 25, 2013
