The Eagles Golf Club
Best so far
New to the area, and this was the best course by far that I've played...from the time I arrived, til end of the round, the staff was very friendly and professional...the course was in very good shape, and plenty of challenges to face...

I played the forest, the course was in top condition, there was even deer all around. They give you bottle water in your cart. They make you feel like your at a resort without the resort cost

This property continues to make a major comeback
Six months ago, I visited The Eagles on the recommendation of others in the industry who spoke highly of the recent ownership change. At that time, I played the Lakes course and it was a significantly better experience than previous years. This time, I returned to play the Forest course. It was so good, I may go back again within a month. Granted, Forest is only 6159 from the blues (about 400 yards shorter than Lakes) but I enjoyed the overall layout of Forest better. Improvements throughout the property are blatantly obvious: Tee boxes are neatly cut in squares, practice putting greens are clearly being maintained and dependable golf carts include coolers filled with ice and bottled water. As I left the property, I spoke with an employee about why I gave up on playing The Eagles a few years ago and he said, "That's all history." This isn't just talk either as I saw some of the work being done myself. Sure, there were a few greens that had what I call "Acne" on them. However, these are areas that were clearly being fixed and not ignored by the groundskeeping staff. While nobody is going to confuse this place with World Woods or Lake Jovita anytime soon, The Eagles deserves a lot of credit for what they've done.

Excellent track tucked away in Odessa. The Eagles has two courses and I played 'em both. Liked Forest better than Lake but I. Would play them both again. Forest takes you. Away. From the housing which I liked. Play from the back tees and the Par 4s become a real test. Course conditions were good, despite the torrential 25 minute downpour. A few greens needed some work but overall quite good.

Nice course, friendly staff, great layout….
I enjoyed playing this course, the pace was great, the other players on the course were friendly and as a single I got around fairly quick. There is water EVERYWHERE so course management is a must if you wish to score as opposed of taking unnecessary risks. The greens were over-seeded which made putting a challenge to read at times, however, this is something that must be done to keep the course in good shape so no complaints here… They provide bottled water in a fixed cart cooler at NO EXTRA COST. A real winner for golfers in the Florida heat.

Rain and lightning struck at the 9th hole. Did not complete the course due to bad weather. I really enjoyed the layout and would love to play this course again. Nice greens and overall fun!

This a very nice golf course. Just before we teed off, the course got a couple of inches of rain. However, we were able to play cart path only. The biggest challenge was the wet fairways , making the course play longer. I will say the course is excellent, greens very good.restaurant food and menu excellent, and everyone at the course very accommodating. We played the Lakes. Played the Forrest 2 weeks ago, and it was in great condition. Both very nice.

Player from out of town.
I took a vacation to Florida and reviewed golf courses to play while my wife was taking a training class. The Eagles lake course looked appealing to me and it wasn't too far from where I was staying in downtown Tampa. Upon arrival the golf attendant greeted me as I pulled into the parking lot. He noticed my clubs were still in my travel bag and offered to leave the cart for me. After loading up and paying for my round the club house worker guided me to my tee box. The starting attendant also greeted me and notified me where I was to tee off and which holes I could not ride my cart on since it had rained the few days before. He also told me the group before me tee'd off an hour and a half before me and the group after me wasn't teeing off for an hour and a half behind me. So I got to play a leisurely round and enjoy the surroundings. The course was very well kept and fun to play. I wasn't rushed and didn't fear hitting into anyone. This was very surprising considering I was playing on a Saturday when most courses are very crowded.
