The grass length on the rough is four inches of club grabbing and ball hiding madness. If you are lucky enough to find your ball you will need a solid hack just to get out of it. All in all a great lay out and well kept course. Peaceful with plenty of wildlife (gators, turkeys, hawk, osprey and plenty of deer).

This was the first time I played this course and I was not disappointed. The greens were punched, but I knew that going in. They were still playable, and should be back to form soon. I really enjoyed the lay-out and wild life. We saw several deer, and their off spring running through the course through-out our round. The only issue I had was finding my ball when hitting into the rough. The ball disappeared into the tall grass. I guess it wouldn't be an issue if I hit every shot straight. lol

I could tell that this course would normally be in great shape, but recent rain storms caused every fairway to be extremely wet and losing a golf ball was inevitable if a shot missed the fairway at all. Had to quit during the round because of ifrustration with trying to locate balls in the rough. Disappointing experience, but I would play again in DRY conditions.

I have played both the Eagles Forest and Lake courses. Lake seems usually dry, but the Forest seems always soggy on numerous holes. That said, the greens were in excellent condition--around a 10 and the course was well maintained. But as much as I like the Forest, and would recommend it, I would recommend the Lake course even more only because it is usually dryer.

The Eagles Forest course is always a pleasure to play. I totally enjoyed it. It is well maintained with fast greens.

Haven't play the forest in a few years. All I can say is wow. Course was in excellent condition and the wild life was surreal. We must of seen 40 dear on the fairway. One of my new favorite courses in Tampa.

The friendliness of the cart staff was amazing. Made sure we had enough ice for the provided water in the cart cooler. Range is a Florida floater ball range. Missing the fairway can be costly as the ball disappears down into the rough. Sometimes making it difficult to find your ball. The turn doesn't go back to the clubhouse. There under the trees though sits a trailer with food. Fantastic dogs (Nathan's) sausages and brats. Deer and birds all over the place.

Played as a twosome on a Sunday in 3 Hrs good. Course conditions overall very good except for a few tee's that were pretty beat up and greens are recovering from aeration but rolled OK slightly bumpy medium speed , fairways are good and chipping areas are subjective from decent lies to really fluffy deep lies. Layout has some misdirection from tees to fairways with tees pointing into woods not a favorite of mine. Good course though, Definite play and good value for the hot deal.
