Greens were the main disappointment; hairy then bare in parts and extremely slow.
The course layout was attractive but greens were in poor condition and there are long drives in buggy between tees

Excellent challenge.
Course is in excellent shape. Green are hard and very fast. Follow the advice on the yardage book to be able to score.

I like this course!
the lay out is fantastic, the greens were nices but a little slow, the time of play was good. I highly recommand this course for every categories of golfers.

Reasonable condition and interesting golf course
We enjoyed the game here. The conditions were fairly good and they did a reasonable job of overseeding (unlike a number of Florida courses we have played this winter). For the most part the fairways are relatively wide and there are acceptable options to long carries over water.

Greens need work
I like Orange Lake - Legends. The course is a nice mix of aesthetics and playability. The course has some really picturesque holes and is fair for golfers of all levels of play. The issue on the day we played the course, was the greens. Every green had a layer of sand on it that made it tough to putt. I don't know if they were trying to overseed the greens, but they weren't in the best shape. The rest of the course was fine though.
It took us 4 3/4 hours to play, but it didn't feel that long. I never even noticed the pace of play. Overall, the experience was enjoyable and I would probably go back.

Extreme pace of play no marshals to speed up pace of play.
The staff at bag drop more interested in getting a tip than in really helping you.

Not worth the money
Played on 3-18. Greens very spotty, fast, but lots of areas where there was litlte grass. Our cart, GPS equipped, the GPS stopped working on second hole. Requested both new cart and ranger, never saw either. We traded cart at turn. Gps worked in new cart but not the breaks. Staff seemed very indifferent. Not worth 100 + a person with tax.

It is not the longest course but requires good shot making
A beautiful day on a delightful golf course. My wife and I enjoyed it a lot. 3 birdies on the back nine along with a triple bogie show that the course can be had-also come back and get you if a shot is not played right.

Legends was in pristine conditions, greens somewhere between medium and quick. Very nice experience!

Lots of variety
For a Florida course, this Arnold Palmer design provides lots of variety. Course was in excellent condition. Fairways were generous. Greens were true and a good speed. 18th hole was as tough as you will want, especially as we played it into the wind. Ponds fronting greens made for some challenging approach shots. No blind or contrived holes on the course. No houses bordering the course. Layout was unusual in that there were some very large distances between holes. No way one could walk even if desired. Great location for visitors who came to see Mickey.

Great Layout and always enjoy playing this course
The greens have been in better shape at other times we Have played this course. The people in the Pro Shop not very friendly that we have been used to at Orange Lake over the years.

Great Course
The bad: The greens were sandy and had grass clippings on them, I assume they recently aerated.
The Good: Everything else, each hole was provided different challenges and required you to make good strokes. The fairways were in wonderful shape, and the rough was lush and thick. Overall it is a great course and I plan to play it again the next time I am in the area.

Nice layout but bad greens
I was expecting more for the money I payed. The greens had a lot of bare spots, we're rought and inconsistient to putt from hole to hole. The gps system was set to the wrong pin placement for the day so that was frustrating. Mentioned it to staff after nine and his comment was I will mention it to the pro shop, but the whole system must be set wrong for the day (we teed off at 12:45). I have played 10-12 other courses at much cheaper rates in the area and all the greens are much better. The fairways and rough are in excellent condition.

Excellent golf course, greens and fairways near perfect condition.
The front nine does not prepare you for the precision that is required on the back nine..Our experience was dampened (no pun intended) a little when we arrived at hole number 16 to find the sprinkler system had been turned on and for the next two holes we could not find a dry spot in the fairways. It was also very difficult to hit your approach shot and tee shots when you were being pelted by water.
I would still add this course to my list of must play courses in the Orlando area.

Pace of play super slow, greens in rough shape and non existent in some casese.
Lots of wilderness to see turkeys, vultures, storks and crocodiles. Course played soooo slow left after 16 or else would've been a 7 hour round!

Great Course/Conditions
Had a great time at Orange Lake Legends on 1/29/13. Course was in beautiful shape and pace of play was fantastic. I had played the course about four years ago and the pace of play was a major concern as then the round lasted just over 5 hours. The course is beautiful and challenging and was a fantastic play. Our round was a great deal through golfnow.com

Interesting course.
The only negative to the round was before we could tee off, three groups showed up to play, without confirmation numbers, and insisted that they had made tee times. They fit these groups in ahead of us and that delayed our tee off and really slowed the play down all day.

Very nice course. Some holes more challenging than others. Beware of alligators on hole 9 and 18.

Play was a little slow on the back nine but we joined up with another twosome and time improved.

Condition of course very good. All the fairway divots were sanded. Some greens were a little thin and some were little slow. But overall in very good condition.

Great lay out
I play this course every time we're in Orlando the lay out is great staff very friendly, rates are better in the summer.

Enjoyable and the gaitor on 14 or 15 in the small pond was awakening
Nice round with three gentleman from Ohio: Rich, Wayne and Gary was great although greens were brown in spots it didn't effect play. Nice folks at the grille and clubhouse. I would play again.

really enjoyed!
Easy to check in and get a snack, and hit the course. well maintained, nice staff andvery palyable. Pay attention or buy more balls. Course and scorecard along with the GPS made knowledge perfect enough....just execute and take your buddies money!

Decent Course
The course is in good shape well maintained. The greens are difficult to putt well on. When putting what you see isn't what you get. Pace of play slow. I believe for the cost they should have complimentary range balls. Food not very good... Servers in restaurant are very polite but in the pro-shop they almost seem inconvenienced waiting on you.

Course outstanding; pace of play terrible
This course was in outstanding condition. The staff was very friendly and efficient. However, it took over 5 hours to play. We teed off at 12:12, finished at 5:20. On several holes, there were four groups playing the same hole. If the course ranger was around, he/she didn't do enough to keep the slow group(s) moving.
