Challenging Greens
I've played the course several times since it was re-opened. As a relative beginner ( 2 years), the course is very challenging, especially the greens which play like I would imagine PGA greens play. The course puts a premium on accurate shots as it's easy to lose balls on the edges, not to mention the water.

Not your typical South Florida course
I have played four times now, and it gets more enjoyable every time. The course can be tough, even from the front set of tees. Plenty of tees to choose from, even the scratch golfer will feel challenged from the back.
Hard running fairways, lots of water, and the most undulating greens in three counties make this course maddenning at times, but you will use every club in the bag. A few well thought out risk/reward holes as well.
Highly recommeded for everyone, and a great value to boot.

This is a unique course in S.Florida. The greens are wicked.
The course had real problems 9 months ago but they did a great job of bringing it back to very good condition. It is a tough and challenging course but one that is fun to play. It makes one take care in club selection and direction control.
I really enjoy it and will play it more. Good value.

Friendly staff, but a tough course for high handicappers.
If you are a low handicap player you could have a lot of fun here. Nice, challenging greens, and an overall pleasant looking course. The problem is there is water everywhere, frequently on both sides of the fairway. The edges of the fairway also frequently slope downward to the water for 20 or more feet. This made many of my shots that landed on grass keep rolling off into the water. Bring lots of used balls and you'll have fun. Great staff!

Course has a lot of potential !
I played here once before about 8 months ago and the conditions were 100% better then than now. They are double booking the t-times and the play is way too slow to enjoy. Quit stacking the t-times and get some rangers out there to keep the play moving, and a bit of maintenance would go a long way as well. It's too bad, because the layout is quite interesting. A few of the greens are goony golf like, but I can live with that if they improve the conditions and pace of play.

Excellent
Well maintained. Challenging but slow due to mix
of carts and walkers. Not a flat green to be found.
I found the course to be equal to any higher
priced course in south Florida.

The green were in great shape. They were challenging and interesting.
I really liked the redesign and enjoyed the challenge of the greens.

The course is in excellent shape. The starter was very good. the clubhouse staff was very unfriendly and not willing to honor golf now commitment.
The clubhouse staff was very un accomodating when it came to honoring the price selected on GolfNow. Stated that Golf Now did not take daylight savings time into account for their fees. The course added an additional $10.00 on the price that Golf Now had posted. The Clubhouse peresonnell was non professional and did not want to discuss. also, some of the players felt that everyone had to play to their pace although the course was backed up. Very rude regulars.

Have played here many times.
Waited on every SHOT. . . Two or three groups backed up on each hole. This made fo a very long and unenjoyable day.

HIGH HANDICAPPERS STAY AWAY
I love this course tee too green, it is a great design until you get to the new greens. I understand they wanted undulation but they took the whole bottle of aspirin, maybe two. You won't even find this kind of undulation on tour, so how do you expect a weekend golfer to play these?
And since they are so difficult for ANY player, you get a FIVE plus hour round of golf. Maybe this is why the rangers drive around and do nothing about groups holding up the entire course. If you love standing around waiting to hit your next shot, play this one.

Attractive but overly challenging for average golfers.
Although it's certainly an interesting venue, I would not recommend this course to mid or high handicappers. There is a lot of sand and water and the fairways all run off towards the water and other hazards. If you like playing target golf and fast sloping greens this course will do the trick. It takes a couple of rounds to get familiar with the layout so be patient your first time out. It's an attractive course but it's very unforgiving. I'd say it's probably the toughest course around, especially on windy days.

Fairways n greens are in perfect shape! The greens are tricky
Fairways and greens are perfect! A lot of water on the course! Greens are undulating and tricky

Great challenging course, plays very slowly when crowded.
The greens were tough, undulating. Water everywhere, if you draw or slice too much, expect to lose balls. You have to aim your shots.
Would have prefered that there was better time management, no rangers present. Slow players ahead of us all day.

This course has great features, like challeging fairways and greens
The course is short for the long player, but the stategically placed bunkers makes a short fairway challeging. The greens also bring a good sometimes difficult challenge beacause of thier slope and size. If you don't have much time but need to keep your game up this course will be perfect.

Good, affordable Course For locals
lots of fun, got to use almost all my clubs, affordable and the greens are very chalenging, good pace of play, specially compared to the over bookings that happen down here, specially in the midle of season, course in good condition. Staff very nice.

This course poorly managed.
A shame..could be a great place. The starter sent us to back nine without information of any kind as to flag placement, etc. When we made the turn, there were four carts in front of us and we had a 1/2 hour wait to play the front. Everyone we talked to said they overbook. Office staff needs attitude adjustment.
February 25, 2013
Water challenges on many holes
This course requires the golfer to think on shot placements on most of the holes; beatiful course, enjoyed it very much.
February 23, 2013
This course has great features and I recommend it
For the price, you will get that what you want, and more .The green was a challange to read and put, acceptable layout and time to play
February 23, 2013
good design with many unique details
the course is designed to make the player think about each shot rather than just hit each shot. the player must many times play within his limitations. EX. when to layup or where to place a shot. The greens seemed to be a little dry and slightly brown but otherwise were putted excellent. I would recommend the course to anyone.
February 21, 2013
good course
you did n't respect the deal I had with Golf Now
I had to pay 5:00 dollars more.
Poor
February 20, 2013
Too much waiting
This course does a lot right. Good condition - fun greens - a mixture of difficult to scoreable holes with plenty of water and sandtraps.
They try and be friendly, but one 'ambassador' was definitely in need of training in dealing with customers when trying to solve a shortage of golf carts.
I could have played this course in 3hrs in our three-ball. It took five hours. Pretty grim.
February 14, 2013
Nice course..But I think they over booked..
I went there on Tuesday and I was only able to play 3 holes
I took over 2 hours for just playing 3 holes .Too many walking player and overbook

Great rebuiling job
I played this course many times as the old Arrowhead. This course is something else. They have done a magnificent job with the rebuild. It is a much tougher course now with water on virtually every hole and not one flat green. Many undulating greens challenge even the best putters, I'm not one of them, but it's fair. The fairways are good. The panorama of this course makes it enjoyable just to be on it. They need to build a new clubhouse. The trailer doesn't cut it for a first rate facility. Play it and enjoy! PS Take a lot of balls, even though they have a bucket of water balls on the 10th tee to help you out if you're running short.
February 3, 2013
The greens are psycho... Be prepared to 2 or 3 putt.
I love this course - just NOT in the winter. I typically play a round with a Foursome in under 4 hours... not at this place. Mostly due to the water and undulated greens. ANY course in Florida during the winter has a slow pace but when tourists come here, it makes it VERY slow because of the difficulty - bring your ball retriever and LOTS of golf balls.

This course. Has lots of water
Nice course, greens were very interesting. Only negative for this course was it was very slow.
January 31, 2013
times awasting
booking time is 12:30 and you actually get off at 1:15. Waiting on every hole is not my cup of tee. Won't be back for another day.. course conditions are ok but greens won"t hold shots.
January 29, 2013
Challenging Course
It's a nice Golf Course, but we started about 20 minutes later than our Tee Time and the Course was totally full. Other than nice experience and great Cheeseburgers.
January 28, 2013
DAvie Country Club, very nice
Great remake of an old course. Lots of water and very undulating greens. Woul ddefinitely play again.
Everyone super friendly
January 23, 2013
This course has nice tees.
Good course for the price. Great tee box. Nice driving range on grass.Greens are the challenge for that course, ondulated and narrow. Should improve the yardage markers in fairways.
January 22, 2013
much water, need controlled shots, bring extra balls
2 different nines. Front more "packed in", ragged and greens very inconsistent with some bare spots. Fairways also need repair. Back nine more scenic fairways, roughs more uniform and greens challenging.. Could be nice, short course with work. Can't beat the fees!
