Good layout.
Greens were in bad shape. Had a lot of invasive grasses.

Not an enjoyable course to play
This course was not in very good shape. The back 9 was better than the front, but the greens were bumpy and not "grown in". Should not have to pay full price when the course is in that kind of condition. Plus the greens were very small like a "pitch n putt" course. Just me and my son playing and they let 2 fivesomes go out in front of us. I know they had those tee times but if we're checked in and ready to go why not let us go in front of those groups? Just didn't sit well with me and should've just left and demanded my money back.

Half price hot deal!
Course was very nice except for the greens. They were sparse in places and a little slow. I'm sure it was because of the season. Happy with the price we paid.

This course could be great as it has small greens
The greens were in the WORST shape. It was like putting on gravel on every hole. They should have paid me to play there. I am not a picky golfer.

This course has some of the smallest greens you'll play.
The golf course was in fair condition. Greens were spotty with the over seed. Fairways not over seeded and fair at best. Manicuring was barely average. Certainly not worth the $85 full rate, which we didn't pay through Golfnow.com.

Nice challanging layout but the course condition was very dissapointing

Nice setting with lots of water and sand.
The staff here was accomodating and friendly. There was a drving range with a variety of target pins. The course was in a great setting. I clanked a couple off the nearby homes - oops. It was March so fairways weren't completely greeen. The greens needed some work. Overall it was a good value for the "hot deal" money we paid. Of the 5 courses I played in the area this week, this was 3 of 5.

A challenging golf course at a fair price!
I played Emerald Bay on a blustery March day and found the course to be in very good condition for this time of year in Destin. The golf course is a difficult one.... forced carries over water, greens well protected by bunkers, plays fairly long from the 3rd set of tees.....but the course has quite a few beautiful golf holes highlighted by the few holes on the back nine that run along the bay. I would recommend this course to anyone but especially to your lower handicap players...it would be very challenging especially from the back tees. At the golfnow rate I got ($45) it was also a great value.

Course in great shape Staff friendly Lost money vs the contract part my fault because didn't carry a copy in But didn't get credit for prepaid amount and charged us $5.00 more than agreed to.
Chalk it up to learning curve and carry contract with next time as cannot trust course to look at it.

Great Layout with some challenging holes

Good solid golf course - difficult in the wind. Lots of water lining the edges of the fairways.
Challenging golf course, especially in the wind. Lots of water lining the fairways. Some rolling terrain wiith several holes being very scenic and just plain excellent golf holes. Several greens are very small but still reasonable to get up and down on.

Must play.
Great value for the money when booked through Golf Now. Course was in great shape with very small greens. Water comes into play on a few holes - especially on No. 18 when the wing is blowing.

The course needs some attention
Good bargain for your money if the course was in better shape. Small greens make it more of a challenge but poor green conditions make putting frustrating.

A good test of golf.
A challenging test of golf for all golfers. The pace of play was excellent and the course was in good condition. At the GolfNow price this was great value.

Overall good value for the money.
It appears that the members don't like snowbirds playing their course. A real name dropper jerk member(playing alone) jumped in front of our foursome and fetched balls from every water hazard slowing up play considerably. Also, we were pretty much forced to let a foursome of young hot shots(not very good golfers) play through us with no place to go as play was not held up by us or anyone in particular. It was a busy day on a busy course. It would have been nice to have a ranger on the course to handle this type of stuff.

Nice layout. Very green.
One of the nicest for the price. Well kept. Tee times were overbooked and they ran out of carts. Had to wait. Hope to play again very soon.

Fairways tight. Greens small.
One must keep ball in fairways at all times or you will find trouble. Greens are very small and undulating. Pace of play was slow.

interesting layout
We played this course 2 weeks ago and greens were wonderful. Yesterday they were terrible. Brown and bumpy! They should post warnings about conditions.

This course gives you great value
Many holes that you have to avoid water. Accurate shots are important on these holes. Great value as a hot deal special. My son and one of my cousins were visiting. We all thoroughly enjoyed the day. Excellent golf carts with up to date GPS and nice range at no extra charge. Greens were in good shape, very receptive, though on some holes they ran out pretty good. As the sister course to Seascape, found it more challenging than Seascape and in slightly better condition in the fairways. Some great views. Will play it again.

Gorgeous course.
The course was fantastic. From the staff to the conditions, it was a great round of golf. Only negative mention, my buddies rentals were disappointing considering how great everything else was and the price. I would certainly go back and golf there again.

Good value, but greens need attention
THIS IS A CHALLENGING OPPORTUNITY AND TEST. THE GREENS ARE A LITTLE SPARSE BUT OK. THE LAYOUT IS GOOD, LOTS OF WATER, MUST POSITION YOURSELF ON A LOT OF HOLES, gps DOES A GREAT JOB OF DESCRIBIING BEST OPPORTUNITIES FOR SCORING. STAFF WAS FRIENDLY.WILL PLAY AGAIN.

an excellent layout, fairways and greens in really good condition for january
This course was in really good condition for the time of year. The fairway dormant bermuda was in good shape (if players woudl just sand theri divots) and the greens were true and rolled well. A nice layout that with good shotmaking, you can score well.

Very dissapointed
Played this course last year for the first time. Greens had been aerated. Putting was like playing in a pasture. Payed $80 per player. It was a let down. So GolfNow had a deal this year- thought we would try it again. Golf cart died with 3 holes left...so we pushed cart for the last 3 holes. Ughhh! Don't think I will play Emerald Bay again! Staff not very friendly!

tiny greens, below average condition
the greens and fairways need work. I think it used to be a pretty nice layout, but the green sizes seem to have been reduced. Lots of traps and water.

very fun overall. tiny greens though.
very nice course and a great price. greens were very small, but in good shape. pace of place was good. staff was friendly and helpful. very tough, but fair on most holes. nice break for women on the tee boxes. will play again in the near future.
