The Legends Golf and Country Club
First time on a course in about seven months because of surgery to eye. This course was just too challenging for someone so out of practice as I was. Excellent challenge for one who is practiced up.

U.S. Open rough
Unless you are wealthy and have unlimited funds for golf balls, you do not want to play this course right now. The rough is not being cut and is 1-2 foot tall is most places. If you miss the fairway, good bye golf ball. You most likely won't find it. The course would be very nice if the management sprung for some extra mowing time. There is no first or second cut. Fairway or 1 foot of rough. I personally would not play again until this issue if fixed.
Otherwise, the course is a great layout. Greens are good and fairways are plush.

Challenging but needs maintenance
I have played here a number of times since moving to Clermont four years ago. Course is challenging but needs attention to fairways, tee boxes and some greens. Weeds are taking over.
Condition of the course is inconsistent with some holes in OK shape and others not. I have been finding that all courses in this area are not getting the attention they need. Possibly because of a lack of business. Some courses in the area I would not recommend but I would recommend this course. It is far better than many. Read reviews before getting a tee time!

Needs lots of work
There are weeds everywhere. They charge $2 extra for environmental services yet the fairways are burned out. The areas around the green and cart path haven't been mowed in a while.

fun but rewarding
I like the elevation changes the course provides. There are some water hazards but a bail out area is provided.

Always like playing this course. Play was a little slow only because of the players in front of us being slow

Always a good time
Pre-Booked...easy check-in, Staff was very friendly, course was being worked on but very playable, a lot of long holes and a few short made for a good day...and to top it off a Ranger came out and gave us all a pass for a free beer or soda with the purchase of a quick snack item, we all thought that was pretty neat, Very nice course, pro-shop and staff. Would highly recommend this course.

About as bad as you can get for florida golf!!
Our Anual golf trip to Florida started very well playing some fantastic courses, we played 12 different courses this year in the Orlando area, and fortunately only one poor course which was Ledgends, We checked out the reviews and all seemed pretty good, booked it up with a good deal to include all we can play and lunch. The staff were very friendly and the guy in the Pro shop had a great sense of humour, but sadly after that it went down hill rapidly, we stood on the 1st Tee and the fairway looked dreadful and very negleted, this got much worse as we approached the greens, they did not run true and the ball bobbled all over the place, this continued for the rest of the round. This is an Arnold Palmer course (who I was very fortunate to meet a couple of times on this trip) and I'm sure if he saw the state of it would not be happy to have his name associated with it. the course has the makings of a very good course with some great looking holes, I hope they start to re invest in this course and bring it back to the condition it once clearly had, judging on previous comments, We stayed for lunch as it was included and declined the free re play, we booked another course in the afternoon to re install our faith in the Florida golf courses and were not disappointed, Sadley Ledgends will not be back on my list. I wrote this review with some reservations as I don't like to be negative, but hopefully as a result it will encourage the club to make the improvements it so much needs to compete with the hundreds of other courses in the area.
