This David Stewart layout places accuracy at a premium with water coming in to play on thirteen holes. The course offers spectacular views and an abundance of wildlife to add to your golfing experience.

Reasonable VFM Reasonable golf course, but condition of course a bit untidy on front nine, but a lot better and tidier on inward nine. Pace of play was not good. Some nice costal holes/views October 24, 2014
Needs work and management I had not played Cove Cay in about 5 months and wanted to see if the new management team had improved things. Sorry but no. Half the greens were badly blemished and the place is worn and badly in need of updating. The pace pf play was extremely slow as there was a 2in front of us that was giving a lesson, on a Saturday morning no less. No Rangers and no one to talk to about it, not even a starter. It will be a long time before I return. October 19, 2014
I was impressed I must say, for 25 bucks on a Sunday morning, I've played worse. Pace of play was awesome, as their was never a time I waited for someone on the next hole. The front nine greens were in great shape. The back nine had some greens with some "sandy" spots, but for this time of year that's to be expected. I would play here again. People talk about the length not challenging. However, EVERY hole has either water, trees, or bunkers that surround the green. You must be precise. Almost all of the greens are "crowned" which means they're on a plateau. I never had a straight putt all day, which added to the challenge!!!! October 13, 2014
Desperate need of help The tee boxes were horrid, more weeds then grass. The greens were either fast or slow and a lot of sand to cover dead or bare spots. The fairways were in need of mowing, overall it was okay for the price but I doubt that I will play there again. October 13, 2014
Fun Course to play….. The only issue was that the greens were pretty rough. A lot of sand spread throughout the greens made putting difficult. I really enjoyed the back 9 with the challenging holes and scenery. I would play it again regardless of green conditions. October 7, 2014
Tampa Bay Fave! Cove Cay is by far one of my favorite courses in Tampa Bay. The course is located inside a retirement community that hugs Tampa Bay. Plenty of wildlife and scenic views, especially on 14-17. Many people knock the course for not being the most "pristine" of courses. However, for the price I feel like playing at Cove Cay is a steal. The course is fairly short. However, almost every hole is accompanied by extremely tight fairways that can ruin anyone's game. There are a few greens that aren't in the best shape, but they're working on fixing them up. Allison, the cart girl, is amazing and attentive. She really treats everyone as if they were members at the club. Overall, if you haven't played Cove Cay yet, make plans for it. Highly recommended for all skill levels and play types.
