Located just outside Bradenton and easily accessible from I-75, The Preserve was designed and sculpted with exceptional care and respect for the natural Florida wetlands. The result is a challenging course where water is omni-present (affecting play directly on 9 holes) yet ultimately quite playable.

Charming bridges (11 of them), lush landscaping, ancient oaks, tall pines, and wetlands wildlife are abundant. Birdies fly, both winged and spherical! A genuine preserve feel has been captured by the course designer.

tara preserve Great challenging course in great shape. Cart pathes are a bit rough October 18, 2014
Needs Work Tired looking golf course Slow greens. Very wet in places especially approaching greens. Poorly maintained especially the bunkers. Visitors not welcome in main clubhouse and are sent to the tennis/pool clubhouse for refreshments October 16, 2014
Graded cheese greens I don't know what's going on at Tara. The greens are in rough shape. The cart paths are in tough shape You all most need seatbelts in the golf cart's to keep you from falling out. The course was wet 45% of the time. I really like Tara, but what's going on over there. Slop bucket We did have rain the day before, so not sure if it just had not drained yet? But since our "soil" is mostly sand it should have drained by then. Some of the fairways were literally unplayable. Large puddles of standing water, and/or large areas of super-soggy turf. The greens were rock hard. But the layout is very nice, and with all of the water it is fun to play. Just wish it had not been so soggy everywhere. September 19, 2014
challenge ing Great value super cource greens were great.very challenging. September 14, 2014
Greens are true The greens are the best I've played on in the area. The rest is in pretty good shape considering the torrential downpours we've had lately. If you overdraw your tee shots beware of holes 4, 5, 6, 8 , 10, 14 and 15 as water lurks and maybe an alligator or 2. Only comment - compacted sand in the bunkers. August 18, 2014
Rough condition I've played Tara before and the course has a great layout but the conditions were bad. The greens seemed to have divots on them and the fairways had big patches of dirt in places. The tee box had not been mowed. August 4, 2014
Preserve at Tara Nice Challenging course...Very good pace of play - never had to wait on a tee (and we played as a twosome) Friendly staff....very good course conditions. Would definitely play again. July 28, 2014
