Located just outside Bradenton and easily accessible from I-75, The Preserve was designed and sculpted with exceptional care and respect for the natural Florida wetlands. The result is a challenging course where water is omni-present (affecting play directly on 9 holes) yet ultimately quite playable.

Charming bridges (11 of them), lush landscaping, ancient oaks, tall pines, and wetlands wildlife are abundant. Birdies fly, both winged and spherical! A genuine preserve feel has been captured by the course designer.

Good value for the money This is a fun course to play. Typical conditions for this time of year. I play a lot of public courses and this course is above average. Although there were some bare spots and weeds in the fairways, under winter conditions, they did not effect my play. The greens were faster than the average course and I found to be in good condition and fair. The staff was friendly. I would definately play this course again. December 14, 2014
Rough shape Good layout but course in very poor shape. Tee boxes over grown, greens were inconsistent and fairways were full of weeds and bare spots December 9, 2014
Great area Teebox not mowed Fairway holes and a lot of bare spots. December 7, 2014
This must be the worst course in Florida After we got over the fact we had booked a round on The Preserve Course at Tara rather than The Tara Golf & Country Club we thought it could not get any worse, then we got to the first tee and realised it could ! The tees, Fairways, greens and bunkers were diabolical how this club can be called a golf club is beyond comprehension, we played 9 holes and decided to abort the round, we returned to the clubhouse had a sandwich and a drink which was OK but we were ashamed to read a sign which said an English Club, we are English and can assure anyone who has not played in England that this is most definitely NOT an English club December 3, 2014
Good be good With the correct amount of grounds keeping, especially on the fairways. THis course could be great. But, as it is not, there are plenty of other courses to play. The feeling is one of a course that is ready for new ownership. November 29, 2014
Nice course, nice layout Nice Natur legend and lot of animals. Not for Walkers ,too long moving differences. November 26, 2014
Not as good as the first time we played Nice layout but the course is not very well conditioned. There did not appear to be enough staff to maintain or provide service...the staff person at the desk had to cover the bar as well, which caused groups delays. Greens OK with a few exceptions. Tees in bad shape as well as fairways. Inexpensive but a disappointment overall. November 26, 2014
Preserve at Tara is in BAD SHAPE Many years ago this course was good. Played November 21, 2014, and the tees, fairways, and overall course condition was bad. Very neglected, many divot holes, bare spots and lack of grass. The only good spot was the greens were in good shape, except for holes 1-5. We always play the ball down, but had to use "winter rules" because fairway shots and around the green would end up in holes or bare dirt. It will take a long time and many dollars to bring this course back to even fair shape. Do not pay top dollar, or you will be disappointed. November 24, 2014
