IMG is a very good course. a little expensive during the week but OK on Sun. & thru Golfnow

This course had green grass on the fairways.
The course had green grass on the fairways instead of brown hardtop of many this years courses. Challenging, but with bailout possibilities. No beverage cart or place to buy drinks on the course. No diet soft drinks and when called the pro shop to get drinks on the 10th tee the person had no change.

Good layout.
I liked the course and the staff was great. They have a good practice facility, but mats for driving range and short area. Greens were great - speedy at a 10. I did have some trouble with bunkers as other reviewers mentioned - not sure why, but I ended up with a few fried eggs - one on a drive.

IMG is a must
IMG was in excellent shape. Some of the best greens I've ever putted on in Florida springtime. Fairways were very good but the roughs were spotty. Bunkers were easy to hit out of. From the back tees, I thought the course was a good test.

Nice course thats maintained well
The course was nice. Not overly challenging but not easy either. It was our first round of the year and was a good course to play for that. The course was maintained very well, escpecially considering the all of the traffic and play it sees. Only downside was play was a liitle slow but would expect that in March with all of the people playing. Best price around for that nice of a course without doing EZ Links.

good challenge!
The course was in great shape with exception of sand traps which need to be worked over and raked. "Fried eggs" were the norm. It was a good test of golf with lots of variety. I'll definitely return next year!

good course, poor pace
Nice course. Hazards are poorly marked on card. No hole layout on tee markers is a minus. Nice sand traps. Good condition and layout. Pace of play was evil. Would have been a 5 1/2 hour round.

Very challenging with all the sand. Also fun!
Would recommend this course to golf players of an intermediate level. Carts have GPS & play moves along.

A great course compared to others in this area
I play here alot. I am a snow bird and this the best course in my area. We have River run Manatee Municipal and Buffalo Creek to choose from. I also enjoy River Wilderness in Parish

Good shape at afternoon discount price. 4 hours to play
Little water. Played from white tees at 6115 yards. Most greens are elevated and well protected with numerous traps. Traps have great white sand. Greens are fast but in good shape. Fairways allow for the ball to row. Trees are stragetic planned to make source your drives attack the green from a preferable location. I found the course very challenging and a great price at twilight

Slow play, no rangers seen to keep pace
A fair trek of golf. Staff very friendly. Conditions were pretty good without recent rain. We had a 5hr 20 min. round that would have not been if there were rangers pacing the pace of play in front of us. We waited on every hole but we were paired up with 2 gentleman from England that made the round somewhat enjoyable despite this pace of play.

Everything closed including the toilets when we returned at 6pm.
The facilities were good - frequent water stations. Some challenging holes - thought we would like to return to play the difficult holes again.

More of a "parkland" style course.
IMG was enjoyable, albeit a little tight. The fact that it is not a large property made it a little claustrophobic, but on the other hand it would easily be walkable. It would be a little easier next time through as there are some hazards not apparent from the tee and the course map on the score card does not show them well. Conditioning was very good.

Great Course
The course is very challenging with sand traps guarding most greens. It is a very scenic course and the conition of fairways and greens were excellant. I highly recommend it for a very enjoyable game of golf. I'm 79, hit drives ~200 yds and played the whites. It was a little too long for me. Several par 4's that required fairway wood for the second shot. Make sure you pick appropriate tees for your game.

Amicable afternoon
We have been coming to this area for the past 10 years and had never braved IMG before having read mixed reviews of the course. We had low expectations, which seemed vindicated when we arrived and there appeared to be a world shortage of golf carts. As things turned out though we got off on time and had a slow round with singles Pete and Ralph, waiting on every shot but keeping moving. Cannot but feel that any course which schedules tee times every 8 mins also needs a ranger to keep things moving. The course itself was fun: fairways in good condition and greens running well.

Excellent conditions, fun but challenging course to play.
My only criticism was that as we made the turn to the back nine, 4 women golfers who had not been in front of us were suddenly teeing off on #10 immediately in front of us. I have no problem whatsoever with lady golfers, but because of their extremely slow play, the back nine took nearly 3 hours to play the 9 holes. We finished in near darkness, almost an hour later than we would have had they not been placed in front us of.
Not a single hole did we play that we didn't wait an extended period of time on EVERY shot. Kind of put a damper on an otherwise perfect day.

Excellent condition

Great layout for Florida course
Good variety of holes. Very good fairways and greens, especially for a Florida course. Slow play on this round but not normally a problem. Two lessons directly in front of us made for a 2 1/2 hour front nine making it impossible to complete 18 by 6:00. Did not understand that carts had to be in by 6:00, had another 30 minutes of daylight.

Fun day on the golf course
This is a well-maintained, challenging course. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Lots of bunkers so my husband and I spent some time practicing our "beach" shots. A very fun day.
