Don't waste your time or money Management is making no effort to maintain the course in acceptable condition. September 13, 2013
Worst conditions possible Anyone charged money to play this course is getting robbed.. Easily the worst conditions I've ever seen on a golf course. Greens are more bunt dirt with patches of crabgrass sprouting out of them than anything resembling a putting surface I've ever seen. The "sand traps" and "bunkers" need to be mowed and weed wacked. Nothing else has been mowed in at least 10-14 days either, "fairways" "rough" nothing. Took almost 5 hours to play and we were alone on the course, more time searching for balls in the "fairway" than hitting..Lost four balls on one par 5 but we saw where each shot landed. The only way to find a ball in some cases was to step on it. We've played this course many times in the past few years and always wanted to come back well that ship has sailed. Mine was the only car in the parking lot. when we finished. That should tell you everything you need to know. September 3, 2013
Exclusive private club feel... As judged by the lack of people. Place felt like a zombie apocalypse occurred. Course is not being maintained. I believe it's owned by feels like its been bankrupt/abandoned. Our deal included carts for $12. When we arrived they offered a rain check because they had removed the carts from the facility for some reason. We decided to play for the laughs. What we paid was actually reasonable if you understand you're playing an abandoned course. More like playing on someone's farm field. It's nothing more than a place to mess around with your game without many people around. Horrific crab grass problems were an opportunity work on shots out of deep rough. All of this is a shame since the course was in decent shape for what it was a 6 years ago. It will need to be rebuilt or plowed under at this point. September 1, 2013
"In the Day" this was a great course. Unfortunately Hartford does not have the $$$ to keep this course in playable condition. The worse it gets, the fewer will play, less and less $$$ to maintain. It is sad. Don't go off the cart path. There are deep wet spots that are hard to see and harder to get out. August 30, 2013
It was only $8 Title says it all. Greens and Fairways are maybe 60% healthy. If you hit in the rough expect to have a difficult time finding the ball. However, it was $8 for 18 and a cart. We were barely paying for the gas so it becomes somewhat hard to complain too much. The staff let us break into two twosomes even though typically on a golf now deal you have to play together and the course was running at pace or better. I would do this deal again if I am just going out to screw around, this is definitely not a course you could play a serious round of golf on. August 28, 2013
what an embarrassment I played this course a few times last year and it was acceptable at best. The only thing attractive is the price, but it proves the saying you get what you pay for. It was 5X worse than it was last year. Greens were dead, had crab grass growing through it. Tee boxes needed to be mowed and the rough looked like it had only been cut once this year and all the hay was left over making it impossible to find a ball, God forbid you didn't land in the fairway. My 3 friends and I will never play this course again even if it's free. We felt we should've been reimbursed for the balls we lost that were all in play! Absolutely terrible! August 24, 2013
Course in disrepair and not maintained well at all! This course was not even a value at $15 for 9 holes with a cart! The first hole cost us a lost ball each due to atrocious care of the rough adjacent to the fairway. The tee boxes were hard pan or weeds. The greens were lacking "green" and/or grass of any color. The sand traps had weeds growing in them. The gazebos and player shelters were sadly wasting away. It was very disappointing to see a course with so much history and the potential for good play going downhill. It was no wonder we were the only players visible on the course during our round. Worst Golf Course On Earth Words cannot express how bad this golf course was. It should be shut down. I want my money back August 4, 2013
