Van Nuys Golf Course 3.3 5 3 3
Par 3 Van Nuys This course is super easy, with all par 3's ranging from 90 to 130 yards. The grass is not bad and the greens are just ok. The course overall is pretty fun and worth 10 bucks. It has lights but the last time you can get a tee time is 730 which is stupid because its practically still light out and you can finish the whole course in an hour. March 14, 2013
Great place for beginners Van Nuys is a great beginners course or to work on your short game. It's an 18-hole, par-3 course and there is not a hole longer than 135 yds. I mainly used my pitching wedge when teeing off and a chip shot with sand or gap wedge if it didn't land on the green. It is maintained pretty well and the greens were in good condition (although players need to use their divot tools more to help maintain the green). I was in a group of 4 which did slow down the pace for people behind us since most were alone or in pairs. But all the holes are so close that they simply skipped ahead and said they'll come back to it later. They told me this is what they do on this course all the time. Fairways are pretty wide with trees to make sure you stay within your hole even if you slice a bit. The greens are pretty fast and do not break although it looks like it would. I think only 2 greens needed major adjustment for the break. The only thing that I didn't really like was that you tee off from the mat. I tried teeing off a short tee but the ground in front of the mat are so hard it was hard to get the tee in the ground that I gave up. I gave it 4 stars in comparison to other courses similar to this in terms of distance and price. March 4, 2013
Expensive Its website includes the bougie and the golf course have not bougie, so the price for playing in Van Nuys is expensive. January 9, 2013
