Stevinson Ranch Golf Club

The 890 pristine acres near the confluence of San Joaquin and Merced Rivers have been part of the Kelley Family's ranch for nearly 150 years. Architect John Harbottle III teamed with George H. Kelley to create a true "links style" and traditional golf experience among the native wetlands and grassy meadows. The sandy loam composition of the soil is ideal for growing turf grass in this unique golf setting.

Stevinson's mosaic Savannah landscape is distinct for its wide open areas of grasslands, scattered trees and marsh areas. Such is the magical setting which surrounds you with pristine beauty and the untamed challenge of nature. The Savannah Course returns you to the old way of life and leaves you with a golf experience unlike any you've encountered before, an adventure you'll love to encounter again and again.

The shot values are created by the strategic placement of hazards and the course's interaction with the natural environment, Crenshaw bentgrass greens and ryegrass tees and fairways are framed with native and fescue grasses to assure that the course is in exceptional condition year- round. The experience is further enhanced by unique extended collars and chipping areas that expand the array of shots needed to successfully navigate the course. As host of the 1995 and 1996 U.S. Open qualifying rounds, Stevinson Ranch has tested some of the finest golfers in the western United States.
