Enjoyable round My son and I played a twosome on a holiday Monday at Talega. We were able to book an early afternoon round online the evening before. Staff was very friendly. The rate was great. The cart and pro shop were in great condition. The UpLink system worked well and was useful. Course in good condition despite their transitioning from rye to Bermuda. Only challenge was some slow downs with almost back to back to back par 3s on front side. Enjoyed. Will return. January 21, 2015
Great golf day! Really enjoyed our day of golf here--beautiful surroundings. Fairways needed a little work but could just be the time of year. Greens were in excellent condition. Try the turkey wrap and/or hot dogs at the snack bar--tasty. January 21, 2015
Rainy and cold This is a great course even though it was wet, windy and cold. Staff was very accommodating as we needed more time to get our group together. Even asked, very nicely, to allow a faster group to play through. Was not offended in the least as the Marshall was an absolute gentleman; seriously. Can't wait to play when its warmer and dryer. Rough was long and wet The rough was long and very wet. Hard to find your ball and difficult to hit out of. The fairways and greens were great. December 23, 2014
Course review 5 hour round and bad fairways This course is not worth it December 21, 2014
Good times The course was in good condition considering the recent rains, the rough was deep because they couldn't cut it for a few days due to the rain. Bunkers were bad because of the rain and had puddles in them, but that is understandable. Overall a very good and challenging course, I'll be back. December 19, 2014
Good course It was raining so i could not play. Can i get refund the money you charged? December 18, 2014
Fun but sloppy Very nice course layout, but caught it on a bad day, very wet and muddy in the fairways. They let the rough grow too long for a public course which made it tougher to play from, sometimes very difficult to even find your ball, filled my shag bag with lost balls sitting down in the rough. greens were very slow as they had also not been cut and the bunkers were thin and hard. Its a great layout and the staff were friendly and helpful, just needs to dry out and shown some love, I would go back if I knew it would be taken care of.
