it's fun to play over all r ok but...... several area of fairways r bad conditions... May 17, 2015
Concrete bunkers = poor grounds management Not that anyone ever wants to be in a bunker, but for as many of them as there are on this course, they are all in terrible shape. The sand was hard as a rock, and none of them have been professionally cared for in months. This layout and design would make for a great track that I would be happy to play again, but I will not return until they either bring in new sand or take care of them on all 18 holes. Very poor demonstration of how a SoCal course should manage grounds in a drought. Ever heard of a tiller and a rake?? May 17, 2015
Back 9 has teeth that don't quit biting! Front 9 is fairly friendly and you choose your tees accordingly. But the back 9 is much harder. I would recommend using shorter tees. I am a 16 handicapper and opted for blue tees, but on some of the holes on the back, I wished I had selected whites. My wife had less problems from the much shorter red tees. Course has great greens and below-average fairways. It is a very well-laid out course. May 3, 2015
Decent condition Course was in decent condition. Worth playing if you can get a deal off of regular price May 2, 2015
Slow greens Greens need help. Slow and bumpy. Fairways very dry. But understand we are in a drought. May 2, 2015
Sand traps were very hard and lacked sand. Lots of blind shots off tees. Need to use cart hole diagram and yardage often. Golf shop, bar, and course we're fine, however our cart yardage guide only worked on holes 1and 18. When trying to get replacement cart at turn, starter and cart supervisor were rude and wouldn't replace cart. Without the yardage and hole diagram, we were forced to not know hazards and yardage. There were yardage on some sprinkler heads, but were hard to find and didn't point out hazards. Course did Play well, but not knowing hazards and course layout made play and scoring more difficult. Fun track, decent shape, worth playing anytime. Overall a really good day with buddies. Greens were in really good shape for the most part, but there were some patchy areas in the fairways and bunkers were pretty clumpy, even with just a light shower the day before. Only slight bummer is their range setup that is far away. Guy in pro shop said to get balls at the Range. Got to the range, and no one was there with balls. It's a few minutes cart ride back, found a cart attendant and he was telling me they have a guy there and that I "couldn't miss him." Gave me balls and by the time I got back to the range, they were just setting up with balls. Whatever. No big deal, but a bit annoying with the back and forth and guy telling me I couldn't miss him... May 1, 2015
bring balls Flat lies are rare. easy to lose a ball if your drive isn't straight. Greens in beautiful condition., April 26, 2015
