Oak Quarry Golf Club is a thrilling 18 hole championship golf course, masterfully designed by Dr. Gil Morgan/Schmidt-Curley Design.

Majestically situated in the Jurupa Mountains, this picturesque course winds through the white-faced, jagged terrain of the renowned Jensen Quarry. In its operating heyday, the Jensen Quarry supplied limestone, marble and 88 various minerals for the development and construction of roads, large buildings and private residences in the Los Angeles area. Today, the abandoned rock quarry, with its rich history dating back to the early 1900s, has been brought back to life for all to enjoy its place of prominence in Southern California folklore.

Fun day with the boys but had a few issues! We had a foursome that teed off a little after noon. 95 degree heat and some wind wasn't making anything look real promising. We were able to hit some balls before the round thanks to someone leaving a few half-full buckets behind. Teed off a little early with basically nobody in front of us. Didn't see any groups until around the 4th hole where we encountered the beverage cart for the first time. We were informed that the restaurant/snack bar was not available for us to use and that she would possibly see us one more time before she left for the day. At 1:00 in the afternoon!? And knowing the snack bar wasn't available!? It's almost 100 degrees out here and we can't get a cold beverage after our 4th hole? Wow, ok so we were told that we were to continue to #10 and not stop on the turn for anything and that after #9 there wouldn't be water to drink until we got to #16! Awesome! When we did encounter a jug of water, four to be exact, one was bone dry, one was fairly full and the other two were trickling out. If you're gonna keep water on the course make sure you have more than four and make sure they're being re-filled! We had several groups either jump in front of us, play the wrong hole and/or just drive passed us to the next hole without saying a word. We played in just over 4 hours so we were moving at a pretty good pace. All-in-all the round was fun, but didn't play real well. The course had a ton of water on it which was to be expected in that heat and time of year. The other staff members were great and made things very enjoyable for us. This course is said to be one of the best if not the best in the Inland Empire! Today it didn't live up to that. Still a fun course to play and challenging for those lower handicap players. We will be back but not for awhile. I hope they can straighten some things out and live up to the reputation they have! And by the way, the reason the restaurant wasn't "available" was because they were setting up for a doctor's meeting of some sort. I guess they were the only ones able to partake in the food and beverages today. July 10, 2014
Excellent layout The topography of the area doesn't seem like it could support a golf course but Oak Quarry is an incredible layout. The idea of building a golf course in an old marble quarry might not be new but the result is impressive. I played in a two club wind and 95 degree heat. The Poa Annua greens are medium slow but on this day in July were in excellent condition. Golf courses in this area tend to end up with Kikuyu grass but there's none to be found here making chips and pitches significantly easier. The fairways are generous and the rough is manageable at about two inches in height. The par threes are great with bailout areas on one side or the other. Greens are medium size and well watered. They will accept a good shot with little run out. Each hole has a run up path for a low, running shot. A very nice design element. The downsides are minimal. For the price ($60) I would have expected to be comped a few range balls. No such luck. The practice tee area was really chewed up (Sunday) and maybe was an anomaly. Minor things were a little annoying, beat up bunker rakes etc. maybe a theft problem but annoying none the less. Overall it's worth $60. It's for sure one of the best courses in the IE. July 7, 2014
Excellent Greens From the White tees this is a moderate rated course; however, the wind and heat take its toll on you. The starter was extremely cordial as well as the cart caddies. Overall, this was worth the money and is within driving distance of the San Gabriel Valley. July 6, 2014
Bad round...great day Enjoyed myself even though I played so so, but I guess to be expected when it's your 3 rd of the year. As they say "bad round of golf is always better than being at work" July 3, 2014
course great condition the course was in great condition the only problem I had we were put behind a fivesome and it was a very slow round. July 2, 2014
Great course. What a course, it is truly a beautiful course, greens were a little slow, but I understand why, otherwise the course is great and the staff are wonderful, if this course was closer to my home I would play here all the time. July 1, 2014
Great times I never post reviews, but this is the exception. The pace of play, scenery are excellent. This course is an absolute treat. My favorite in the inland empire July 1, 2014
Where's the beef? Played there on a Sunday morning 7am. Service is great if you can find any staff. Can't get breakfast till 630am. No cart girl till 9:20am. Temperature was in the 90s; good thing we brought our own snacks and drinks. Range balls no longer included with tee time. Course is still in good shape, greens slow and thick....I can understand because it's hot there. June 30, 2014
