Oak Quarry Golf Club is a thrilling 18 hole championship golf course, masterfully designed by Dr. Gil Morgan/Schmidt-Curley Design.

Majestically situated in the Jurupa Mountains, this picturesque course winds through the white-faced, jagged terrain of the renowned Jensen Quarry. In its operating heyday, the Jensen Quarry supplied limestone, marble and 88 various minerals for the development and construction of roads, large buildings and private residences in the Los Angeles area. Today, the abandoned rock quarry, with its rich history dating back to the early 1900s, has been brought back to life for all to enjoy its place of prominence in Southern California folklore.

Loved the signature hole #14 This course is one that everybody should golf at least once just to see the views from each hole. Took lots of pictures of the course. It had some challenging holes and some that were nice for the average golfer. Would definitely golf this course again. Friendly staff who we shared a few laughs with. We all golfed well on this course and the weather was great. April 5, 2013
Always in great condition. Fun & Beautiful course. Best in Riverside. Fairways, greens, & rough are in great shape. April 4, 2013
OAK QUARRY IS IN GREAT SHAPE TIS SPRING COURSE IN GREAT SHAPE GREENS WERE HOLDING NICELY FAIRWAYS AND ROUGH HAVE GREENED UP AND SOFT WILL PUT SHOTMAKING TO TEST April 3, 2013
slow play Had a very slow group two groups ahead of us who held up the whole course on an otherwise quiet Monday on the course. Took over 5 hours to play which is unaccepatable for a course of this quality. Need to do a better job of maintaining pace of play. April 3, 2013
Great design This course is a great mix of challenging holes. Most holes require accuracy or your ball is gone. Overall a great course and in perfect shape. April 3, 2013
A must play course in the Southern California Region To start with, the customer service is worth mentioning as it is very close to private clubs. It is advisable to use the driving range before the round to get a feel of the wind and the green speed. The GPS in the cart is very useful. The course itself is very picturesque and be sure to take some pictures if you are not around the area. I am a mid handicapper and enjoyed the challenge with the fairways and fast greens. It is definitely a course where you have to plan your tee shots instead of just bombing with the driver. Hole #14, a long par 3 is my favorite and even though I was inside 6 feet with a tough pin position, I missed the birdie :( I picked a Sunday afternoon twilight rate and the course was not crowded and I was able to finish the round in 3 and half hours. Overall a fantastic experience! April 2, 2013
Awesome Experience An entirely awesome golf experience from arrival to departure. Customer service was outstanding but not overbearing, course conditions were extraordinary and course layout a real treat to play. A number of holes could be feature holes on any other golf course with stunning views and vistas. Only knock would be that pace of play was a tad slow, but course marshall appeared to speed things up when asked. Would definitely return to play again - thx GolfNow for the great rate. April 2, 2013
Interesting layout. Not for high handicapper Course is very challenging and beautiful but quite difficult and higher handicaps will lose 100 balls in 18 holes!! Greens need some attention. March 25, 2013
Enjoyed the course Enjoyed the course. A little slow. Greens were eratic. March 22, 2013
best southern california value Oak Quarry remains one of the best golf experiences in southern California. Fairways are in good condition and the greens are excellent. The views are unbeleivable - bring a camera. March 22, 2013
setting was surreal, beautiful layout course was in excellent shape.........great design thru the quarry. outstanding views........course you don't want a quick round electric carts, nice range, pathways for carts all great elevated tees and greens only negative......GPS is far to big for cart, really blocks view ahead March 20, 2013
Great views The best course In the area with great views and great staff. A little pricey but well worth it. March 14, 2013
This course was awesome and I wish I can play there every time. I highly recommend this course and definitely will play again and again. March 4, 2013
Great Course, Poor Management! Having heard great reviews from freinds that played there, I came from out of state to try out the course. What I didnt know was the course was being double booked and we waited 20min at each hole before we could even tee off because the 2 groups in front of us were just getting done with thier second shots because they were waiting for the groups in front of them to move. The clubhouse was taking money and tee times and sending them to the starter who was being overloaded with people but still pushing them through. There was no communication between the two. After starting us 40 min late and after 2 hours having only hit 5 holes, the Ranger came by and said thats normal for how the first few holes are positioned. If they know thats the case, do not stack people up and run normal booking times! As we sat at hole three we spoke to the group in front of us who told us they were an hour late for their tee time but the course let them in front of us anyways because they payed full price. No wonder we had to wait! Having booked a 1pm start time, we didnt even finish through hole 15 before the sun went down around 6:30pm. The course was great and well maintained, but bring patients and be ready for a poorly managed tee time rotation. I'll send freinds there because the course was neat through the hills, but they won't go unaware they may have to complain if the same thing happens to them. You've been warned. March 3, 2013
Spectacular Course Wow - beautiful course in excellent condition. This was a first for our annual golf getaway to So Cal. It will likely become a regular for us. At the GolfNow price, it was unbeatable. Very friendly staff all around. If we had one complaint it would have to be the sand traps. More 'rocky' than sand and we discovered we needed to pick the ball rather than hit a typical sand shot. They also bumped our time 20 minutes from our booked time. Not a problem for us since we were on vacation and time was not an issue - but something to be aware of. Overall a great experience and on par with courses costing twice as much. We'll be back! What every round of golf should be Played here several times now and have nothing but good things to say. I would play here more often if I lived closer. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, everything is top notch. It's like being in a private club. The staff is super friendly and Attentive. The course is well kept and challenging for all levels of player. Make sure you try this course at least once. February 28, 2013
issues What a great looking course! What horrible people! Had a 12:30 tee time, didn't get out till 12:45. Had to wait 15 mins for a cart, and had to ask 3 times for directions to driving range, finally being told ' It's up the path by the first tee." This from a cart kid who looked like he just woke up with a hangover. Were told by starter that "It's a drivable par four, so let the group in front clear the green before you hit", so we did. Upon finishing the hole, drove around the corner to find we were the FIFTH group waiting to continue on to the second tee. A total of SEVEN groups were in sight, and that was only the first half of a par five. Took almost an hour to play three holes. This pace of play continued til the fifth hole, where a marshal finally showed his face, We (all three groups of us waiting on the tee) were told the slow pace was because the course "had an opportunity to make a lot of money, so we took it and had a 236 person tournament that started at 8a.m". Really?!?!! You can't get a 144 person group out and in in four hours, let alone seventy percent more people. Was really too bad, because the course was really great looking, but who can tell, when you wait fifteen minutes between shots. We didn't finish till 6pm, playing the last hole in the dark. If asked, I will say the course was a good track, but management is greedy and complacent. They should not have sold tee times they couldn't get finished. I feel for the groups behind us who probably had an expectation of finishing the round they paid for. Several groups passed us going in, and some had comments about OUR slow play, I tell you, it was a really bad experience. Might consider playing here again, but it would be on a Tuesday morning, not a Saturday afternoon. We were told we had a guaranteed finish time, and they cut it to the second. I'm surprised they didn't come and confiscate the carts on the 17th hole. Bummer! Feel like we got taken by course operators who are only about the money. February 26, 2013
A quarry of stone a quarry of breathtaking backdrops. TEH EXPERIENCE Gof courses each have their own charector. They best courses are designed with a theme or something unique about them. All you have to do is go play one of them and etched in your memory will be something that will stay with you forever. Your search of beautiful golf courses with stunning natural beauty will forever be a comparison of others. Not only is Oak Quarry a mine of beautiful Gypsum Gully, Marble Ledge, Limestone Dome, Quartz Corner, Zircon Tumble, it's also a mine of memories and camera shots. I can say with utmost certainty that the chistled sides of the quarry cliffs and bowl like setting some of the holes set in create the ultimate wind tunnel. Oak Quarry has holes that require substantcial carry to fairways from the tips. The wind was blowing with gusts to 60 or 70MPH (Verified on the weather channel) with sustained at 20-30MPH all day. Oak Quarry played more like 7500 from the tips. par 3 228 yds was a full driver to get to the front of the green. The wind was blowing my ball off the tee all day and on one hole, in the tunnel, it blew my ball about 5 feet up the green slope from complete rest.,A couple playing with us from the midwest USA said we call these tornadoes where theyre from. All said, it was still an awsome experience playing Oak Quarry. It just makes the memory even better. Bring your camera fully charged. You will need it. FAIRWAYS The fairways were beautiful. Tight and thick. There is plenty of undulation but the fairways are wide and let you rip it without total fear. Some fairways drop off and leave you with a blind shot if your not out there at leat 240-250 from the tips. The fairways are yardage marked pretty well so your range finder can get a rest. GREENS With howling wind they were both fast and slow. In general they're probably average speed of course all dependent on how short they want to cut them. Even with the wind drying things the greens were still soft and holding well. Lots of undulation so bring your "A" game slope reading skills. TEES The tees were in nice shape. The grass is just a fairway and trimmed as such. I would say they were a little bumpy and I felt like getting set up without some kind of compensation is typical. Thats just me. I can walk around a tee trying to find a comfortable spot for 20 or 30 sec0nds sometimes. In general the tees are good PRACTICE FACILITY Average facilities I would say. There is grass tees and the range is just below the 1st tee so you can go right from the range to the first tee in about 30 seconds. The practice green is medium size but it works well. CLUBHOUSE / PRO SHOP. All of it is typical for a higher end golf course. STAFF They will see you drive in on their monitor and be right out to your car to get your clubs. When you get to the clubhouse they are already loaded and ready to go. Thats what a real golf club should do. Sadley there are few that have that kind of class. My wife always says "isn't Oak Quarry the course that they come to pick up your clubs when you drive in"? Enough said. Oh yea its all a part of that etched in memory thing. February 25, 2013
Well maintained, challenging course, with a beautiful setting and layout Played 18 on Feb. 16th with perfect weather. This was my first time playing the course and I was really happy with the experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The course itself was really in very good condition, and nearly every hole has a stunning view. With the quarry and chaparral encroaching tightly on the fairways and greens, I couldn't help donating a few balls to the rattlesnakes, but I was happy to do so. Highly recommend this course, especially when the surrounding hills are green like they are now. Not sure how punishing the heat might be in the quarry if I played mid-Summer. February 18, 2013
Great ! But Putting green only hope to be managed more reasonable price, beautiful view, well maintained fair way and wonderful 14th par 3 hole. If putting green will be more better than now, this course will be the best! February 16, 2013
Awesomeness This is a great course and awesome views all around. Bunkers needed some attention as they were rock hard when I played but other than that, no complaints. Can't find a nicer course for the money in so cal. Too bad it's so far from me or I'd play it regularly. Worth the drive once or twice a month. February 15, 2013
Hurricane force winds!!! The coarse is nice, but very challenging. The wind at this coarse is insanely bad! I heard from others that play there often, it is like that a lot. The pace is very slow, which also was said to be normal. Also, the starter stuck us with a horrible golfer and his sightseeing wife, that just added to the bad day. I don't think I'll be playing here again anytime soon. February 14, 2013
Awesome layout Couldn't ask for a better present for my birthday, took my buddy and said it was the best February 14, 2013
Nice course. very well maintained for the season. I think they need to get a starter who understands grouping. Sent a 3 some out 10 minutes later (me) as a single. Then 10 minutes after that a twosome. I had to slow down in order not to push through all the groups..... February 11, 2013
Best course in southern cal Great staff. A lot of different kinda of holes. Funnest golf in southern cal for the price. Beautiful course and well taken care of February 7, 2013
great course Oak Quarry is an awesome course. Challenging but not discouraging. Had a great day. February 6, 2013
Spectacular views, excellent condition. Greens are well bunkered. A lot of opportunities to get into to trouble. Bring lots of balls. The course conditions were great. The fairways are generous but missing the fairway is big trouble. Many of the greens are raised making the bunker shots a challenge. With hills all around it is often difficult to read the greens. Pace of play was great! February 5, 2013
Great course for what you pay. This course was recommended to me by a good friend. I was surprised to see I was only paying 55$ for a weekend tee time. I figured there had to be a catch. But I was wrong. There are a handful of holes that are simply breathtaking, the rest very nice and well designed. The course doesnt play long, but you better hit it straight or else plan on bringing a lot of balls. The course was not in perfect condition the day we played, but it didn't have to be to win me over. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The 1 downside was the pace of play. It seemed like we saw the marshall on every hole, but he did nothing to improve the situation. Not a huge deal, we just relaxed and took in the scenery. Cant wait to get back out there in the spring and see a little more green on the grass!! You wont be dissapointed with Oak Quarry. February 5, 2013
nice course. Good course for the money. With the Golfnow discount, well worth it. Nice scenery and fun to play. February 4, 2013
A fun challenge Good value, worth the drive from Orange County. Good mix of risk/reward. February 4, 2013
