Mt. Woodson Golf Club
Day at the course with my son
Always a fun and challenging course to play. Picked my son up after school for an afternoon of golf. Breezy conditions later in the day made it more difficult than normal. The course was in good shape after the last 2 weeks of rain. Greens roll nice and true. Reading your putt from both sides is a must. Take extra golf balls if you miss the fairway the ball is probably gone. Not overly long and can post good scores as long as you hit the fairway. Mt. Woodson is a must play especially for the money. Golf now is the way to book a tee time for $20 to $30 savings. My price was $22 and worth every bit of that.

one of our favorites
Always great place to play, we have family in Ramona, first place we think of playing when here each year.

Unfortunately, we must have been unlucky as far as the time of year we played....
The greens are still recovering from being punched and have obviously not been cut or rolled for some time..... The tee boxes were also overgrown, and the traps had not been touched for what looked like weeks.
You would think the maintenance would have been better considering it was weekend play....???? But what do I know?
Having said all that, I can tell this course has great potential and I'd like to play it again under better conditions!

A Great Experience
The price was very reasonable. I would play this course more often.

Nice track. Pace of play to be desired. Restrooms very basic and in poor condition

This course is just awesome(for me anyway) Once you leave the 1st T you wonder if you'll ever see anyone. Every hole has its own distinct challenges plus their deserved "name" on the scorecard. The greens are about as tricky as they come, but the outstanding views make you forget about that missed putt.
The only downside(naturally)is slow play....which could be helped along with a PA now and then.
(In my opinion, a foursome should be off in 4 hours)
One caveat... there are a good number of "blind" holes...take a few minutes to drive forward to locate the group in front of you as to avoid driving your T shot into them.

Why were the white tees so far forward
This is a short course and unfortunately the group I played in wanted to play the white tees. With the tees in the too far forward position we had to wait for many of the greens to clear since they were reachable. On many of the holes the whites were where the women's tees usually are. The group behind us also hit into us on a few holes while we were on the green and they were teeing off.

This course is fun to play but bring a few extra balls!
