Rated 3 out of 5 by Great Greens! What a delight to find greens with such a consistent surface and good roll after the last 2 weeks of brutal heat. The greens held fairly (differentiated between good and bad shots) and were about 9/9.5 on the stimpmeter which is fair enough considering length of grass needed to protect against the heat. Rated 4 out of 5 by Tough roughs I played here today (6AM). The fairways and greens are in very good condition. The roughs are tough and I lost a couple of balls in them. Bunkers are hardpan. Straight forward course and with long par 3s and 4s form the green tees. Great value for the money at this time of the year. August 16, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not terrible Played for $13 on the hot deal. You can play other courses nearby for the same course, but I love exploring new courses. I was expecting better. I had read the resort course was the better one but I thought I saw some nice photos of the legends course but they were not. There were some nice views, but only a few of them. Rough was challenging enough which I appreciated. A lot of bald spots around and ON the green. Most putts were straight/broke less than they seemed. Typical for Palm Springs "resort" courses I am finding. I always get uncomfortable with the homes on the golf course, but I didn't hit any today. Not bad, but can not recommend this course and I am not very picky. August 9, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by course conidtion first when I made my tee time, I should of been told that all the fairways were in champions course were half dirt and half grass!. with this in mind , why were we charged full senior price ? $49.00. if I had been told the above and offered price of $25.00, I wouldn't of felt mislead. I will wait about a year before I go back to this course, it will take that long to repair it. August 7, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by I liked the course It was my first time playing in the Palm Springs area and a friend recommended this course. I was happy he did. It was a great experience and if I am in the area I will play this course again. Can recommend it to any person July 27, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good outing Came here with three other husbands getting away from the wives who were at the hotel in Palm Springs. Course was nice and green but over watered leaving the fairways mushy and resulting in numerous fat and heavy hits by all of us. Bunkers were ridiculous - all dirt and very little sand. Greens were in decent condition for Summer and pace of play was fine. For the price it was adequate but I would go out of my way to play here again. July 26, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Greens in bad shape It appeared as though the greens had been sanded some time back, which nobody told me. The edges of the greens had lost of packed sand. They putted smoother than the green grass portions of the greens, which looked and putted like they hadn't been mowed in a month - slow bumpy. And the cups had no edges recenctly cut, which made the hole smaller. July 13, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Usually a nice course I used "Golf Now" to book and didn't realize that I booked the Legends course and not the Resort course (my favorite), we were not offered a change once we arrived, we paid normal summer prices and played a course that had the greens- aerated and sandy! No offer for less on the fees!! I play here every summer but was very disappointed with my experience this year. July 10, 2015
