Good golf experience, good value
The golf staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They set me up with three of the local member residents. What an enjoyable round of golf. These members treated me as if I were a long lost friend. One of the most enjoyable rounds I have had. Thank you Indian Canyon Golf Course and staff.

Old style course. Very well maintain. Great scenery
The proximity of the mountains was very good for our golf as it reduced the wind factor (windy day). Staff was awesome. They took time to explain the history of the course and some of its features. Take the time to have lunch (great view, good food, excellent service and at reasonable prices).

Incredible
You can't beat this deal. $45 for 18 holes with a cart (after 2:00 PM). The course is in great shape and the staff was amazing. I'll definitely be spending more money at Indian Canyons golf resort. I played the North Course (the South Course is across the street) which had a good mix of moderately challenging holes and more difficult ones, forming an overall pleasant, but not boring experience. Go to Indian Canyons Golf Resort!!!

I had not golfed here in 8 or 9 years and was pleased to see the upgrade in maintenance. Pace of play was very good and lunch on the patio was great.
Golf course in great shape, pace of play better than most resort courses, friendly staff and food was delicious after play.

Long but mostly flat with wide fairways. Not too many traps.
Enjoyed the round. Course not as interesting as some but in great condition. Price is reasonable.

A great place to get a round in, especially if you get a good deal/price break.
I really enjoyed playing this course this past weekend. My buddy and I had a 7:30 tee time and ran late because we underestimated how long it would take to get there from the JW Marriott where we were staying. They accommodated us no problem, sending us out as a twosome -- which ended up being great. We moved very quickly through the front 9. The course was moist and the greens soft early, but things dried out and sped up by late morning. The condition of the course was very good (though I'm not sure how it would be when it's hotter that high 80s out).
Overall, it's a moderately challenging course, with a few tough pin and bunker placements and a few challenging water hazards. But the fairways are wide for the most part so you can drive with impunity, generally speaking.
The views of the mountains are fantastic, and some holes have mountains on both sides, which is really nice, especially in the morning when the sun is still fairly low. A few holes on the back 9 are truly gorgeous and photo-worthy.
I shot my best round in a while here -- an 88, which may not be great but is really good for me! -- and would play it again in a heartbeat.

Great Staff
The highlight of the round was were the people who worked there. For someone who never played the course it did not have marker that were easily identifiable for distance or course layout on the scorecard.
For having a top 4 star rating the condition of the course was more like a 3 star with a few highlights along the way.

Great Course
Had a great experience. Thanks. Had a good time at the North Course.

The worst course I played in the region
- No Distance markers to be seen anywhere.
- Very slow pace.
- Worst greens ever, ball marks everywhere.
- The staff didn't care at all.

The course is well suited for the slightly better than average player.
Fairways and tees were in great condition. Greens were fast but need attention. Looks like a weed grass is growing through on the majority of the greens. All in all a wonderful experience. Will definitely play here again.

Great valve for the dollar love the history behind the course
The staff is very friendly and the course is maintained but there was a lot of ball marks on the greens which were not always repaired. Played our round in just under 4 hrs. Which was great time.
Stayed for lunch and the food and service were terrific . Have already recommended to friends in our park. Most of whom have played here and said they enjoyed the course.

the course is more challenging than it looks, it's a good test of golf
This is a good course, well kept and good value for the money.
The lunch was excellent and service overall was very good.
I would go back again, and will I am sure.

Reasonable golf course/ value
Very welcoming staff. Played in four hours. Back nine greens better than the front which looked old with some discolouration. Cart paths resemble mine fields. But these are trivial things. It's a place I'll go back to.

Well kept, forgiving for infrequent golfers, fun for the experienced
This was a very nice course to play at a relaxed pace even though the starter told us it was a busy day with 220+ golfers for the day. We had no problems playing at our own pace. Wasn't rushed, wasn't held back. We were able to book through golf now for $70. When we called direct we were asked if we were staying in a hotel and then quoted $100. We rented clubs, $50, alright clubs but nothing special. Carts were in good shape. Staff were mostly friendly and cheery. Felt at home.

This course is a real special place to play.
The golf course is very well maintained. The pro shop and bar are top notch. The staff were very helpful and friendly. This is a must play on anyone's list.
March 24, 2013
Well maintained with lush fairways. No brown here.
This was the first time I played here and it was great. The fairways are wider than some of the newer courses but still challenging with bunker placements and water. A great place to play and then sit in the clubhouse later for refreshments overlooking the course. AI will play this again.

Indian Canyons North
A very picturesque course set up against a mountain backdrop. It was neat to see the old architecture of some of the homes along the golf course.
The North Course has challenges but with its wide fairways is quite forgiving. Water or sand comes into play on all of the holes. The forward tees do not give the player much of an advantage over the white or combined white gold blocks.
Played Twilight at 2:00 for $55. I would recommend to other golfers and look forward to playing again.

The greens were in terrible shape
Nice course. The fairways were really good but the greens were terrible. There must have been 100's of ball marks on nearly all the greens. Doesn't anyone repair them anymore. I mentioned it to a staff member and he said yeah, they get a lot of play. Nothing about they were trying to rectify the situation. We won't go back.

This was a great course and I enjoyed playing it.
The staff was friendly, water was supplied and it was very enjoyable.

I always enjoy Indian Canyons. Nice layout, beautiful views, quick round.
Greens looked a little stressed on some holes but it didn't effect play. Discounted rate for early morning round made it one of the better deals in the valley. Always come away feeling good after a round at this course.
March 21, 2013
great mountain views
a challenging course because of length. Holes are varied, making it interesting. Finishing hole on each side requires good ball positioning
March 21, 2013
Good condition
Speed of play was good. We had a good experience. Greens in nice shape

Great course
The course is very well maintained and the staff are very friendly and courteous.

Desert Version of. a classic Parkland Course
Classic layout. Great tradion in club house . Country Club experience for a public player. Will add to my list of courses to play each time I visit Palm Springs.

Mature course retains visual pleasure and challenge to score well.
This course has been available to play for over 40 years - previously the Canyon CC. It has very few cart paths - that's OK. The condition of the course is excellent. Only tough area is at 100 yds from green on #18 where grass is virtually non-existent - tough to pitch from. Employees encountered on course were very personable and proud of their course. Challenges exist for the risk/reward golfers; it was very enjoyable for me and my wife.

Golf the way it use to be. The clubhouse has a lot of character as well.
Golf the way it use to be. The clubhouse has a lot of character as well. Fun to see all the pictures of the era gone by. The course plays longer than I had heard and there is more room to hit the ball than I had heard as well.
March 16, 2013
... it was in the best shape of the five courses I have played in the valley.
We were greeted in the pro shop with great customer service which continued throughout the day with the staff loading the carts, the starter, the marshall and the fellows who cleaned our clubs at the end of the round. The North course was in great shape with fairways that you could easily hit the ball off of, the rough was reasonable and the pace of play because of the great conditions we were finished in four hours. Of the 5 courses I have played in the valley I think the Indian Canyons North was in the best shape and the most enjoyable to play. I am looking forward to playing the south course in a few days.
March 15, 2013
This course has gone down hill.
Greens are very marked up and rough, the 90 degree rule for the entire course is rediculous. this course once was a jem but no longer. They must of put all their money in the South course.
March 15, 2013
Great golf experience
The course is an old school, country club layout. The holes are challenging, but straight-forward for first time players. The greens are nice size, and fairways and greens were in great condition.
The staff were among the friendliest we encountered in Palm Springs. Very well run facility at a reasonable price.

Great value and great layout
I golfed this course twice on my stay in Palm Springs. You can't get better value for the quality of course. This course has a couple of long par 4's and a couple of long 3's but overall the holes were a good length for every club in your bag. The reason I played it again was the pace of play. We played a Marriott course and La Quinta Mountain and both courses took 5 hours to complete. Seems to be a bit of a problem here in Palm Springs with long running games. They pack the tee times tight but not at this course. Both times flowed nicely.
