Blending championship golf with a classic Palm Springs setting, a round at Escena Golf Club is as much about the surroundings as it is about unforgettable golf. The towering San Jacinto mountains and blue desert skies frame the flight of every tee shot. Abundant palm trees, native desert landscaping and dramatic waterscapes add to the sensory feast. A meal or a drink in the stunning mid-century environs of the Escena Grill is a perfect way to round out your day.

Of course, the centerpiece of the Escena experience is its expertly crafted by Nicklaus Design golf course. Unobstructed sightlines and generous driving corridors give you a clear view of how to navigate each hole. Strategically placed bunkers, water hazards and undulating greens are there before you, but at the same time there is ample room for you to decide how much you want to flirt with them. With back tees stretching to nearly 7,200 yards, Escena offers a formidable test for the skilled player, but with four sets of tees and room to roam, how you satisfy your personal appetite for challenge is entirely up to you. Escena has been recognized as a Top Ten Public Course in California by, and was voted the Best Public Golf Course in the 2010 Palm Springs Life “Best of the Best” Reader’s Choice competition.

But Escena is much more than just fantastic golf. The Escena Lounge & Grill transcends what is typically expected of golf club fare. With its delectable food and drink offerings, hip mid-century vibe, spacious indoor/outdoor seating and stunning views of the San Jacinto mountains, the Escena Lounge & Grill has become one of the most popular gathering venues in Palm Springs.

In addition to the golf course and grill, Escena offers a warm-up practice tee, a short game practice area and a putting green. Tournaments and social gatherings can be accommodated in the private dining room or spacious outdoor lawns.

We invite you to experience the golf course that is the talk of Palm Springs.

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 310 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Course was very forgiving Played on a Saturday tee off at 1:00pm and pace was slow quit after 9 holes but probably could have played another three before dark November 15, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this course Loved it! Great course with gorgeous scenery. Fairways and greens in really good shape. November 12, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by need another set of tees This is a very difficult course for the average woman, especially when it is cart path only. It needs a senior tee and a forward tee for women that is not 5500 yards. It is very beautiful so that is a positive. 167 yards for a par 3 makes it almost impossible for the average women to make par. The women's bathroom was locked which also makes me wonder about whether they want to encourage women golfers. But I enjoyed the beauty of this course November 12, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful course. One of the prettiest courses we've ever played and interesting holes. However, they have just opened after overseedng and it was cart path only. Lots of long walks across big fairways and back to cart, some up and down hills. Older foursome in front of us had a hard time and really slowed down play. They indicated they would not have played if they realized the difficulty. I would check to see if they have gone to 90 degree before booking tee time unless your in good shape and want lots of walking. Otherwise, we really enjoyed the course and the facilities were great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely play here again. November 3, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Something for Everyone This course is Amazing. We played on an almost perfect day with mostly cloud cover that made the whole round feel like we were in the magic hour and all the colors on the course pop. The heat was bearable and the beautiful mountain backdrop was visible even with the clouds (see photo). This course played great for all of us, the fairways were wide for those of us who don't always stick the driver right down the middle. Then there were some tricky elevation changes, bunker placements, and long Par 3s for those that wanted a bit of a challenge. The Pace of play was great, we were never waiting or rushed. I should know because I was the weakest player in our group that day. Bring your Fairways woods and hybrids because this course is long. It reminds me of Torrey Pines with it's wide fairways, overall length and serene atmosphere. Obviously I wouldn't place the bunkers and greens nearly at the difficulty level of Torrey's legendary greens/bunkers, which is probably a good thing for most of us. Overall this course is beautiful, difficult, and fair. Everything I could ask for. I had a fantastic experience and I'll definitely be back. October 6, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Enjoyable Course We played 6 days before the over seeding course closure so the conditions were dry (As we expected). However, it is still a very enjoyable course to play and one we try to play every time we are in Palm Springs. We like the layout and the width of the fairways is not intimidating September 28, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by The course is in bad shape The course was in very bad condition. I have played here several times and it has never ever been like this. September 17, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fun day at Escena Staff was efficient and friendly. For overseeding in the next few weeks the course greens were good but the fairways were very pretty rough September 16, 2015
