Blending championship golf with a classic Palm Springs setting, a round at Escena Golf Club is as much about the surroundings as it is about unforgettable golf. The towering San Jacinto mountains and blue desert skies frame the flight of every tee shot. Abundant palm trees, native desert landscaping and dramatic waterscapes add to the sensory feast. A meal or a drink in the stunning mid-century environs of the Escena Grill is a perfect way to round out your day.

Of course, the centerpiece of the Escena experience is its expertly crafted by Nicklaus Design golf course. Unobstructed sightlines and generous driving corridors give you a clear view of how to navigate each hole. Strategically placed bunkers, water hazards and undulating greens are there before you, but at the same time there is ample room for you to decide how much you want to flirt with them. With back tees stretching to nearly 7,200 yards, Escena offers a formidable test for the skilled player, but with four sets of tees and room to roam, how you satisfy your personal appetite for challenge is entirely up to you. Escena has been recognized as a Top Ten Public Course in California by PGATOUR.com, and was voted the Best Public Golf Course in the 2010 Palm Springs Life “Best of the Best” Reader’s Choice competition.

But Escena is much more than just fantastic golf. The Escena Lounge & Grill transcends what is typically expected of golf club fare. With its delectable food and drink offerings, hip mid-century vibe, spacious indoor/outdoor seating and stunning views of the San Jacinto mountains, the Escena Lounge & Grill has become one of the most popular gathering venues in Palm Springs.

In addition to the golf course and grill, Escena offers a warm-up practice tee, a short game practice area and a putting green. Tournaments and social gatherings can be accommodated in the private dining room or spacious outdoor lawns.

We invite you to experience the golf course that is the talk of Palm Springs.

Escena Golf Club The staff at Escena are super friendly and very helpful. We played right after a downpour the night before, so, there were some new "water hazards" that aren't usually there. Other than that the conditions were better than I expected. Really enjoy this course and have gone back for the past several years when in the P.S. area. August 11, 2014
Nicklaus course Played June 10, 2014, 7:15am....threesome, in a rapid 3 hours 45 minutes....excellent condition, not a bad lie on the grounds, greens receptive to short and long irons, tricky greens but fair. I will be back! This was a fun and fair test of golf. I would recommend it to anyone!! I would give it 5 stars if it had a driving range. August 3, 2014
Plan to go here again It was a very nice course. Will definitely come here again. We will recommend it friends. The clubhouse is beautiful the food was good and stuff very friendly. August 3, 2014
Caught on bad day I think this course might have been really nice on another day but on this day, it was really poor. The staff was excellent but the course was in bad condition - the back nine was being aerated but there was no posting of that anywhere. In my local area, aerification is normally posted before you pay and play - not the case here. In addition, there were no rangers on the course and there was a 3some that teed off at 7AM (beginners and no clue) in front of us that played extremely slow and no one there to move them along. We had to skip a hole so we could move in front of them. It would have taken over 5 1/2 hours if we stayed behind them. Having said that, I just think it was a bad day and it probably is a nice course. August 2, 2014
A delight. Great course. Fairways forgiving and greens run true which allows for a good score so long as you can hit the hole. Try Escana and you will walk away satisfied! August 1, 2014
Encena is a beautiful course Really enjoyed playing Encena, though the first hole was extremely windy, I feared the day would be a bust. But, the wind died down quickly and the remainder was very playable. Greens and fairways were green and in good repair. Several holes were challenging for me, but I hit onto several greens that were well guarded by water and/or sand. Overall a good day. I really enjoyed the course. Also paired up with a couple who were quite frendly and played well. Frank July 28, 2014
Sevens review Very goo conditions for summer. A very pleasant play and great value. July 19, 2014
Excellent value Nice layout. Fairways in good condition with a few dry spots; fairways are wide and forgiving except for the water holes. Greens still recovering from a recent aeration with lots of contour. Shorter hitters might want to play from forward tees as there are few bailout areas if you can't reach the pin, and the greens are heavily bunkered. No GPS in the cart, but we were provided with a very nice yardage booklet. Driving "range" is a netted facility maybe 50 ft deep, good for warm-up but not for practice. I enjoyed the round in spite of the heat and humidity; there is cold drinking water every other hole. I'm a little surprised that none of my friends who know this area better than I do have never mentioned this track; it's worth a recommendation and worth the price. July 15, 2014
