Blending championship golf with a classic Palm Springs setting, a round at Escena Golf Club is as much about the surroundings as it is about unforgettable golf. The towering San Jacinto mountains and blue desert skies frame the flight of every tee shot. Abundant palm trees, native desert landscaping and dramatic waterscapes add to the sensory feast. A meal or a drink in the stunning mid-century environs of the Escena Grill is a perfect way to round out your day.

Of course, the centerpiece of the Escena experience is its expertly crafted by Nicklaus Design golf course. Unobstructed sightlines and generous driving corridors give you a clear view of how to navigate each hole. Strategically placed bunkers, water hazards and undulating greens are there before you, but at the same time there is ample room for you to decide how much you want to flirt with them. With back tees stretching to nearly 7,200 yards, Escena offers a formidable test for the skilled player, but with four sets of tees and room to roam, how you satisfy your personal appetite for challenge is entirely up to you. Escena has been recognized as a Top Ten Public Course in California by, and was voted the Best Public Golf Course in the 2010 Palm Springs Life “Best of the Best” Reader’s Choice competition.

But Escena is much more than just fantastic golf. The Escena Lounge & Grill transcends what is typically expected of golf club fare. With its delectable food and drink offerings, hip mid-century vibe, spacious indoor/outdoor seating and stunning views of the San Jacinto mountains, the Escena Lounge & Grill has become one of the most popular gathering venues in Palm Springs.

In addition to the golf course and grill, Escena offers a warm-up practice tee, a short game practice area and a putting green. Tournaments and social gatherings can be accommodated in the private dining room or spacious outdoor lawns.

We invite you to experience the golf course that is the talk of Palm Springs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Enjoyable Course We played 6 days before the over seeding course closure so the conditions were dry (As we expected). However, it is still a very enjoyable course to play and one we try to play every time we are in Palm Springs. We like the layout and the width of the fairways is not intimidating September 28, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by The course is in bad shape The course was in very bad condition. I have played here several times and it has never ever been like this. September 17, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fun day at Escena Staff was efficient and friendly. For overseeding in the next few weeks the course greens were good but the fairways were very pretty rough September 16, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Pace of play Course management was not good. They allowed a 5 some then a 2 some and then another 2 some to go out, The pace suffered terribly. We played 9, stopped for breakfast (because of the 5 some in front) and then went back out. We caught up with them 3 holes later. Called to ask the marshal to come out but was told he was gone for the day (11:30 ?). Has always been a nice place to pay and maybe it was because it is still summer in the desert that staff is too small. September 15, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Always a good time Very nice open course with lots of sand and water to challenge you. Great time September 15, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Themaz Some of the fairway grass was burned out but the greens were really nice. I've played this course before in this is an excellent deal. September 13, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice track but too bad. This is second time we played within past 3 months. We really like the layout and enjoy golfing here. Fairway conditions seem to have gotten worse the 2nd time. Very patchy with many dry spots full of dirt, many areas without any grass. Greens nice and roll true but speed inconsistent, little on slow side. Most of the bunkers have brand new sand so was still fluffy the 2nd time. I hope the course condition improves after the October shut down cause we want to come back. September 10, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Burnt spots Worst I have seen Escena. Had to move the ball about six times in the middle of the fairway to find some grass. Some of the fairwYs were fine for summer play, others were very sporadic with burnt spots everywhere. Greens were fine, little slow but rolled true. The course will be back, when summer ends. Always a fun round as it doesn't try to beat you up. September 8, 2015
