Immaculate My"go to" course when I play in Palm Springs. One of the prettiest courses around. Greens and pace of play could be a bit quicker but still very enjoyable March 27, 2015
Beautiful course Great course to play with clients or friends on a weekend getaway!!! Great value for the money !! March 26, 2015
Never Again The only reason I could even give the Palm course 1 star, is that the flowers are gorgeous. Started out with less than friendly staff in pro shop and the staff providing rental clubs. The starter seemed more cordial, until we attempted to reason with him after 9 holes. We were on a pace to play 18 holes at 5.5 to 6 hours. It was miserably slow. He argued that we were not on that pace (despite the math) and that there was no one holding us up on the back 9. We declined his offer to jump to the Valley course, as we had enough of this place. Upon returning the rental clubs my companion used and commenting that they really didn't work out that well, the staff trash talked my personal clubs. We did go into the proshop upon leaving and finally found a staff member with great customer service skills. He did comp us another round, but seriously....would we go back? Very unlikely! As a side note, the greens were in incredibly poor condition and smelled bad (fertilizer?). March 26, 2015
Many better places in the valley While it is a pretty course in decent condition the service and staff seem noticeably below the level that I find at competing courses. Bag drop was unattended and even the provided phone there went unanswered. Even after my partner arranged club rentals and we paid and got out to the pick up area my clubs were still sitting up at bag drop. No water was provided (not even cups) so everything had to be bought and as I recall it was $3 for a bottle of water. Luckily I had a water bottle in my bag and filled it. It seems that playing in the hot desert water of some sort should be readily available. Course itself has a lot of water on it - some a bit too hard for a resort style course I think. Surface conditions on the greens was at best ok with lots of bare/brown spots. It isn't a bad place to play but I would choose any of a large number of competing courses in the area over it. very well maintained course Great course, very challenging. Some very pretty holes. Greens a little bare in spots March 25, 2015
Marriott Over crowded due to scheduling, 5+ hour rounds, greens in bad condition, staff unconcerned. March 25, 2015
Picturesque but challenging Every hole was a post card photo. Lots of water and very deep sand traps with good sand. The only draw back was the greens were unpredictable as there was some overseeding and sanding underway. Some greens were a bit rough. This a resort course and the rough was not too difficult. We had a great day. March 25, 2015
