Water
Lots of water on this course. Really appreciated the water bottles provided by the course and the friendly staff.

Great course and staff. Wind is the key factor for this course...
This course has had a bad reputation for very windy conditions. It just so happened that the worst day for wind while we were in Palm Springs was the same day we were scheduled to play The Classic Club. We had winds in excess of 35+ the entire round! I knew of another group that played the course the day before and they did not even bring up the wind, so for us it was a matter of timing.
Despite our misery of the round due to the wind, my wife and I felt the course was in terrific shape and would recommend it. The greens were excellent and speedy. The layout was challenging, yet fair for men and women. The service was very good.. The clubhouse was really nice as were the locker rooms. I will definitely play this course again, and HOPE the wind is not anything like we experienced.

All I can say is WOW!!
Really enjoyed Classic Club. We played there several years ago in very challenging wind conditions and it was a bear. On this trip the wind laid down and we were able to enjoy this great layout.

We love the Classic Club
We played with a bit of wind on the first 5 holes and then i calmed down. The course is always in excellent condition and the staff is very friendly. The practice facilities are extensive. The beverage cart comes around frequently and the included lunch voucher is a great addition. We have a wonderful lunch after golf. Highly recommend this course!

Fantastic
The staff (from the bag drop to bag pick up, everywhere in between) where friendly and helpful. The course conditions are second to none. Challenges for all levels of player. Great time! Would recommend to anyone.

Great Course!
Outstanding staff. Course was in excellent condition. The greens were hard & fast but my wife and I enjoyed playing the course.

OK...pace of play slow...service and food in the lounge was poor.
Service in the lounge was not great. Food was not great. No happy hour menu. Waitress was overworked, tried and not friendly! Would not go back for food and drinks. Very disappointed from previous visits.
Pace of play was also not acceptable. 5 hours.

Very enjoyable desert golf course!
I thought The Classic Club was a very pleasant suprise. After being ripped as a poor course during the years it hosted the Bob Hope; I wasn't sure what to expect. I must say I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the course a great deal. Additionally, the restaurant at the course The Bellatrix was an outstanding place to have dinner!

Good value and conditions
This course is first class. Nice track, excellent conditions, good GPS to help you around the course. Very nice greens - slick! A must play course - but be sure to check wind - it can get windy so be sure to pick the proper day to play! Everyone who works there makes it feel like a first class country club.

As good as it gets
A legitimate PGA tour golf course. Arnold Palmer design with generous fairways, bunkers that are well thought out and plenty of water. The course has a reputation for high winds so check the forecast before you book. Pristine conditions make for a fabulous day of golf, a must play course.

Nice course
This is a very nice course with excellent amenities and staff. The greens were excellent and super fast. I couldn't figure them out, but that wasn't the course's problem. Lovely Palm Springs experience. I played the up tees. From the tips (>7300 yards), it would eat almost anyone's lunch. Can't imagine it from back there with significant wind. My day was calm and clear.

I always play this course when I am in the area. Lots of variation with the holes , great shape, great practice facility, fast greens.
Must play in the area , always in great shape . Get there early and enjoy their practice facility.

Good challenge of golf.
Pace of play, over 5 hours, was really slow due to a tournement being booked the day we played. Course was in wonderful shape, fast greens which were extremely tough in the windy conditions.

One of the best around Palm Springs
This course is a must for avid golfers in the Palm Springs area. The greens and fairways were in superb condition with the green speed running around 12. Course is challenging with trap and water placements in all the right places for the errant shot. This course also has a little natural wind so keeping the shots low was a plus. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Water stations, rest rooms and refreshment carts all around course.

Beautiful, challenging course worth playing
First class facility with excellent practice area, beautiful layout and great clubhouse. Water comes into play on 11 holes and lots of sand. Course is more exposed to wind, being farther away from the mountains. Greens are large, fast and undulating. Choice of 5 tee boxes gives you the ability to choose how much you wish to be challenged. I discovered this course last year in my first visit to PS in decades built on what was my grandmother's 80 acre citrus ranch in the 60's. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will be back.

Great Visit
First time using Golfnow. Pretty easy. My son and I are average golfers. The overall experience at The Classic Golf Course Palm Springs was great and challenging. Got a good deal for the course! My confirmation included cart, course towel, range balls, yardage book, divot tool and bottle water throughout the course. Checking in at the pro shop I was informed the course towel was for "people who had payed at the course itself" and not through a secondary party. To their credit they gave us the towels when I informed them of our confirmation info. Again overall great experience. Looking forward to using golfnow on future trips.

Best course in the valley
Always a favorite when I go to Palm Springs. The course is always in pristine shape.
I played with an employee of the Berger Foundation. He was telling me about how a certain PGA pro made comment that he would not play the Hope Classic, if Classic Club was included.
So, they donated the course, and it is now a "charitable donation" They chose to keep the price low, allowing for more play

Service is exceptional. The front nine greens need and little help. The back nine greens are great. Fairways and tees in great shape.

Tough course - bring your "A" game!
First game in months; came down from frozen tundra - aka Alberta, Canada - and this course exposed my myriad weaknesses with its numerous water hazards and heavily bunkered greens. Should have played something a bit more forgiving first to warm up, assess my game, and re-align my expectations. Nevertheless, it's a great course, and I'll be back when my game's in better repair.
Note: course condition wasn't quite pristine, but was better than maintained. Value was better than average, but very few courses are "great" values at $100.

Great Golf Course and Beautiful Clubhouse.
Our foursome thoroughly enjoyed our round.
No WIND!! Course is in great shape, staff was very courteous and professional. Club House is palacial.
Will definitely come back for another crack at this Beauty.

not good!!
start by tipping 2 valets, one to park your car, one to get your clubs downstairs? and then wait 15 minutes for your stuff to be delivered by a surly fellow who thinks he's the customer. greens had just been top dressed. try putting on a sidewalk. several wet areas i.e. mud on balls hit directly in fairway. course is beautiful but nothing unique about that in the desert. you have many better choices
than 'the classic club'.
