View Tee Times

Whether catching the greenery of the day or the evening`s twinkling lights, Bay Area drivers have long enjoyed the sight of the Oakland hills above San Francisco Bay. Golfers who have discovered Lake Chabot Golf Course up in those hills have delighted in tremendous views of the greater Bay Area, along with a quiet setting, plentiful wildlife and one of the most uniquely challenging and affordable courses in the region.

The course, which dates from 1923, measures nearly 6,000 yards over its par-72 layout. The finishing hole, an astonishing par-6 downhill beauty of 673 yards, can roll your ball right up to a double eagle with the help of a straight shot and dry weather. On No. 15, panoramic views await you of the Bay Bridge, downtown San Francisco and downtown Oakland. This gem of a public course is not to be missed.

A very fun round overall I went with my dad and my neighbor for a fun weekday round and had a blast. We are breakfast and lunch and they both we excellent. Staff was very kind and friendly, overall condition of the course was great. Fun holes and a fun round. April 22, 2015
Very nice course. One of the best deals in the valley, nice course and very scenic. And you must purchase the outstanding hamburgers that's available on the 3rd and 13th hole. April 21, 2015
Not Your Old Lake Chabot Gold Course Course was green and well maintained, albeit the greens were punched three weeks ago and their were not as fast as normal; no dried out fairways; pace a little slow with back-ups at the first four par 3's; 5 hour round, overall pace was ok, did not feel like too much sitting around. course is somewhat challenging due level changes and some very tricky greens. LC has upgraded carts. The food concessions have been very good for years. The clubhouse is old and the lounge is does not induce someone to stay for any length of time. Course secret: looks as if not many people going out after 1:00 pm. April 13, 2015
The course is in good shape The staff was friendly and the course was in great shape. April 6, 2015
Looking good Place is in tip-top shape! Greens rolling nice only 2 semi bumpy besides the normal holy #9 Go play in the "O" BABY!!!! FORE........... April 5, 2015
What a view!!! Course was very nicely placed and on 15th hole, it was such a nice view of Oakland as other mentioned. Some course had narrow fairway which needs control over distance. Down hill par 3, 9th hole..gotta consider drop and wind which was a fun hole. I like the course...wish I could get more discount to play and for Vehicle to pass by for parking and leaving be caution. Strange set up, but fun course This is a course where the yardage means almost nothing. There is so much change in elevation you will be guessing how much longer shorter each shot plays. Very unique course especially with the finishing par 6 ( that is amazingly downhill, I hit a 4 hybrid almost 300 yds into the group in front of us... sorry guys!). Course was in good shape except for no one seems to fix their ball marks on the greens! Pace of play was OK, in that the course is only 6000 yds and it still took about 4:30 to play. Fun times had, and would play there again. March 8, 2015
Great course, great price Lake Chabot is a very fun course. Lots of hills and small greens. The par 6, 18th has the potential to be a card-wrecker. Aim for the center of the fairway and let it roll! March 5, 2015
