Eagle Vines Golf Club
Good value for a beautiful course
Course was in great shape except for bumpy green probably recently sanded

Vineyard course, pretty backdrop, Odd hole configuration.
Eagles Vines is pretty. Vineyards, rolling hills, and nice water features. There are some issues. Pace seems to be a problem at this course. It's not the layout, it's the people that always play here that don't get moved along and are slow. The clubhouse was beautiful and the guys in the pro shop are great. The way the course is set up is very odd. Start at 11, play 8 holes stop at the turn and then have to play 10 more. They did this because holes 11-18 are nice but not much more. Rolling hills, easy wide fairways, and undulating greens. Holes 1-11 are great. Much better than the first half. Much. The only other issue is they didn't post the greens were punched. And they were punched, sanded, and poorly rolled. Not true, and decently quick speeds.

it's a course for every level of players and is always in great condition and very beautiful and relaxing
for the money and the degree of challenge and the location in the wine country it's one of my favorites, and the play moves along very good. i have been playing there now since it opened..

A gem in wine country, somewhere everyone should play.
The course has amazing views as its twists between vineyards and over hills. The greens were well maintained and rolled well considering it was a chilly November morning. A new course layout was being played but it set up well with a wide open par 5 to start and a tough par 4 finishing hole.

I had 9 one putts ! A first for me.Cant wait to try again!
This isn't a long course, but the architect made up for that with 3 tiered greens with sand traps guarding the flags! I love this course because I don't drive the ball long, but I can maneuver around the dog-legs with my irons and have a good round. Take in the beautiful views, exhale....and enjoy!

Relaxing atmosphere but pace of play was slow
Staff was very friendly, course conditions were good. Pace of play was slow. Even with the pace of play being slow, didnt' get frustrated because the atmosphere and views were just so relaxing. How can you get upset for being outside, with some friends, having a few drinks, playing golf, and having the views to match? Yes, my golf was horrible but you all the other benefits outweight the two negatives of slow play and bad play. I definitely recommend playing there. I prefer it over Chardonnay which is right next door.

Should have been better.
Course conditions were ok. Some of the greens had bare spots and needed work.
Pace of play was slow -- especially painful during the back nine starting on the first hole (we started on eleven). There was some tournament at the course that day. There didn't seem to be any marshals to keep the pace of play up. When we got to the first hole, there was one group on the tee, two groups waiting to tee off, one group in the fairway, and probably one group on the green. In addition, there were non-golfers associated with the tournament riding around all over the place in golf carts. Sometimes they'd cross the fairway; other times, they were going up and down the cart paths. They slowed the pace down since you didn't know what they were doing and therefore couldn't tee off. All in all, it was very frustrating. I guess that's what they mean with the "Fast Play" promotion online.
