Lots of elevation changes Nicely designed course. Fairways seems to be built up and down the rolling hills as opposed to along the ridge so many up hill and down hill fairways. I enjoyed the well placed faced bunkers you don't see too often. This courses was a lot of fun and truly worth it's value. Played with my wife and course was set up nicely for women. Just a very enjoyable experience one would hope to find on a vacation . October 25, 2012
greens are bumpy slow manager of place is very rude needs people skills has poor skills with public March 30, 2013
For the price, it is a great value Each green had bumpy surface. It needs more form or harder surface. Otherwise course id good shape. March 27, 2013
Good solid course, nice layout We drove to Laguna Seca from the South Bay, had a really nice experience, and enjoyed the course. It's in about average to slightly above average condition. The maintenance is good. It's not country club condition like the photos and course description lead one to believe, but a good experience nonetheless. The course is interesting and varied, with some nice challenges and just enough elevation changes. The back 9 is particularly scenic. It's a good deal at $35 or less. It's walkable, but with a few uphill stretches that get your heart pumping. March 24, 2013
Well-design golf course The golf course requires precised placement of your ball from the tee box for the approach shot; otherwise, you would end up under a tree. The course is pretty with traditional treeline fairway. The greens were good; but slow. My partner mentioned that they just had aerification last week. The fairways properly need some attention. It probably caused by the winter weather. The wind from the ocean brought in a level of difficulty that I haven't experienced recently. It is a great course for both recreational and serious player. The price is good also. March 23, 2013
Thanks golf now. I love the game and you make it happen for me on a fixed income. Keep it the good work. This has been a favorite of mine for many many years. It has all the shots you could ever ask for and then some. If you ever get the chance to play there, do it. Thank again golf now for making this round happen once again. keep the good prices coming and i'll be booking tee times. shot 82 that not bad for a old timer. March 21, 2013
the fairway are in good shape. the greens are going to be nice in about one week. You could not painted a perfect day of golf. The sun was out and the bogges were there. ( some pars 2) Had a very good day. March 20, 2013
Nice layout This course was a lot of fun to play. It has some nice challenges, but still allows you to recover if you get in some trouble. Play it if you get the chance. You won't be disappointed... March 19, 2013
Nice GC and facility. Will recommend to others Nice course and facility with very helpful and friendly staff. Will recommend this course to others. March 17, 2013
Great layout, great track, great views. We played this course in 3 hours during the weekday. GolfNow had great deal I couldn't pass. The course had all greens punched but was growing back nicely. Expect the wind in the afternoon I was told and there was, but not as much as expected. The fairways in very good condition, they were not soft kinda to my liking. The only drawback was the gentleman who checked me in, I felt like I was intruding. That didn't last long and forgot about that at the first tee which was very elevated with a great view of the mountains. I will definitely play this course again. I enjoyed this course immensely and it is well worth the money. Try it you will definitely have a great time! March 16, 2013
Greens were rock hard and lots of dead grass on fairways. Greens were rock hard and lots of dead grass on fairways. March 1, 2013
A Monterey Bay Gem A day of golf at Laguna Seca Golf Ranch MUST begin with a trip to their premiere practice facility that is incomparable on the Monterey Peninsula, so get there early and work out the kinks!! The course itself this winter is in great shape and will test all your skills, so bring ALL your clubs. The pace of play all day was outstanding for our foursome as we were never held up or pressed. A great round was had by all!! March 1, 2013
Easy location to find and course has various challenges for all. Enjoyed the course and variety of play. The par 3 holes can be tough to score the par if you are off the mark. The terrain makes the play interesting with character and slopes one might not normally get on a flat course. The course has lots of electric carts available, and I would recommend a cart for this course. February 23, 2013
I enjoy the challenge of this course. The course is fun and challenging. The staff is friendly and they have a well stocked clubhouse. I will definitely play here again. February 22, 2013
This course is a ton of fun with a very cool lay out that can provide a challenge for all skill levels. This is a killer bang for your buck course! Course was in good shape, greens could be a little nicer but they are not horrible as the speed is still very good. February 21, 2013
No a happy customer on this particular occasion. I have played the course several times. On this particular day, it was very cold and on the verge of rain. I asked about rain check and was told there was no rain check. We went out as a twosome and found we were behind a 5-some. We quite after 9 holes. My recommendation is that the course is OK, nothing special, don't play if you have questions about the weather, you may find yourself very disappointed. February 20, 2013
great course and price wish I could do it more often at courses like this February 14, 2013
The course was a beautiful Trent Jones collaboration. No tricks, it just flows naturally with the terrain. Classic old school The course itself was not difficult except for maybe 3 holes. A classic style golf course here...no railroad ties or manufactured hazards. An enjoyable round except the greens were pretty bumpy and not rolling consistently. The value was great for a Sunday play. I definitely would return. There are more than a few holes that local knowledge would definitely be helpful. February 6, 2013
It is a fun course to play and the staff is always friendly. I always enjoy playing Laguna Seca. Number 15 always gives me trouble but it is fair. January 31, 2013
Great Course and excellent Bang for your buck. The course was lovely. In a great setting, well maintained, and overall had a good feel to place. I would reccomend this course to a golfer of any level. January 28, 2013
Great setting for a golf course Laguna Seca was a friendly and clean facility. the course was a little dry for january, lack of rain and maybe Monterey water resrictions. Greens were bumpy, come'on people fix your ball marks.Overall experience was good, beautiful valley views. Will play there again. January 23, 2013
Laguna Seca in Jan. A beautiful day for golf, 75* at noon when we teed off. Not many golfers playing? Too expensive for Jan?? We enjoyed being out playing but have to mention the bumpy greens due to white daisy infestation. Hopefully in the spring the course will be better. January 22, 2013
fun course If you want to play with irons and approaches, it would be perfect for you. January 18, 2013
Greens are in desperate need of Maintenance Greens are in desperate need of maintenance very bumpy and very grown with dandy lions coming in. Tee boxes to uneven. Over priced for the conditions. January 11, 2013
Good value ,decent test of skill You won't lose too many balls but you still have things to think about, like the greens which are hard to read and deceiving fast. January 3, 2013
Beautiful setting Price has been climbing. Could get too high for the course conditions (beat up greens). Could maybe use a marshall to keep players on schedule. January 1, 2013
Interesting course! Played on a quiet Friday afternoon. The Pro Shop allowed me to go out early and play by myself (which I prefer). It was well worth the price I paid - a real bargain. The course was in pretty good shape; a few rough spots, but anytime I play golf in December, I am happy! Not an very long course, but interesting holes, especially on the back 9. December 22, 2012
One of the best on the Monterey Peninsula You cannot go wrong with an outing at Laguna Seca. The staff are super friendly and professional, the course is well maintained. I would like to see a bit more attention to the greens, but a small point. One of my favorite courses on the Monterey Peninsula, and I play them all, including the Pebble Beach courses. # 15 is one of the most challenging holes around. Have lunch also - a great new establishment opened up to serve your needs. Easily the best practice facility in the Monterey area. Top five course on my list of courses on the Peninsula. December 16, 2012
Nice place to play! Laguna was a nice place to place. Nestled in the Monterey Hills, it was a good location. Mostly private, although the highway was in view of some of the holes. The constant slopes and numerous bunkers protecting the greens made it difficult, however there weren't a lot of hazards other then that. The greens were fair, and some were very beautiful. The grass was maintained pretty well, but I think it was the"crab-grass" type. All in all, a good course to play. December 13, 2012
Very Fun Course I only marked this course down because the greens where really really bad. Very bumpy and poorly maintained. I will go back to play this course because it was fun. December 11, 2012
