Rated as on of the "Top 100 Courses in the World" by GOLF MAGAZINE and 4th toughest course in America in Golf Digest's "Top 50 Toughest Courses in America (2007)," there may be no greater challenege or excitement in the game of golf than the Stadium at PGA WEST! The world famous Stadium is one of Pete Dye's finest course creations, delivering multiple adrenaline rushes throughout the round. A "must play" for all golfers, but no the faint of heart. Host to PGA TOUR "Q-School" Finals every other year, PGA TOUR hopefuls must steady their nerves to navigate the island green of hole #17, known as Alcatraz. Imagine yourself as one of them, needing to make par on the menacing water-lined 18th hole to earn the coveted PGA TOUR card!

Named "Stadium" due to Dye's successful efforts of sculpting spectator seating into the natural terrain along fairways and surrounding the greens, many great moments in golf history have occurred here, including Lee Trevino's unforgettable hole-in-one on Alcatraz. This aced him the win of a huge carry-over Skin worth $175,000 in the 1987 made-for-TV "Skin's Game" hosted by PGA WEST from 1986 through 1991. With five sets of tees, the Stadium lures all skill levels and final scores should be measured by laughs and awe-inspiring moments, not by numbers on a scorecard.

PGA WEST® - TPC Stadium Course 4.3 5 170 170
A very hot round, but survived Stadium is a great challenge and this was my 2nd time playing it. If you can avoid the trouble (traps), it can be a rewarding and fun round, as I survived in 113* heat and played very well that day. The staff was great as I got out a little earlier than my time and played solo until I joined a couple on #13. I finished in about 3.5 hours, which was nice. The only area for improvement was the greens, as they were a little shaggy and not as quick or smooth as I remembered from the last time. Nothing like Chambers Bay though...ha ha... June 26, 2015
Every Hole Interesting So many courses have a handful of good holes the rest of the holes nothing special . At the stadium every hole is strong and different. If you play the tees which match your ability the day will be even more enjoyable . The fairways are pretty forgiving it is the shots into the greens that get tough . Not that you can be wild off the tee but not too many places to lose a ball or hit it ob . Despite a few weeks of 100 degree weather early in the year the conditions were excellent . Should be good to see the pros back in January June 25, 2015
very enjoyable first year in a few years to play the stadium course during my annual trip to palm springs in June. I was hesitant because the last three times (3 - 5 years ago) the course was in bad shape and I felt it was relying on its famous reputation. I was extremely happy to se the course was in great shape even though the temps were 110+ degrees all week. The course was a great challenge and fun to play. June 20, 2015
The Stadium I booked the night before. It was super hot 114 degrees but course was in great shape. The Stadium is always a challenge but if you're up for it you will have a great time. Staff and facilities are top notch! June 18, 2015
Stadium among the best Small wonder that the Stadium is a TPC course. It is in the top five in the Valley, without question, both in design and condition. I've played a few Pete Dye courses, and this may be his best. So many courses in Palm Springs are so good, but a persistent problem is the way the surrounding homes encroach claustrophobically into the course designs. Not so TPC Stadium at PGA West. The houses are there on the periphery, but they're not cramping the course. It's a welcome relief. Also, Dye has put giant swales around the greens, making a good short game imperative if you have any hope of scoring well. The greens were in superb condition, despite the 107-degree temperature. great challenge Great layout, fun to play, bring your A game. Very courteous staff. June 14, 2015
You will be very lucky if you don't have to play out of a bunker.T This is a true test of all your golf skills. Play a smart round of golf and it will reward your total 18 hole score. Before you tee off go to a practice sand trap and hit high explosion shots, your going to need that shot. May 28, 2015
Nice The course was excellent, I was amazed with the great design, it was as good as I have read about, glad I played it once in my life. May 20, 2015
