Rated as on of the "Top 100 Courses in the World" by GOLF MAGAZINE and 4th toughest course in America in Golf Digest's "Top 50 Toughest Courses in America (2007)," there may be no greater challenege or excitement in the game of golf than the Stadium at PGA WEST! The world famous Stadium is one of Pete Dye's finest course creations, delivering multiple adrenaline rushes throughout the round. A "must play" for all golfers, but no the faint of heart. Host to PGA TOUR "Q-School" Finals every other year, PGA TOUR hopefuls must steady their nerves to navigate the island green of hole #17, known as Alcatraz. Imagine yourself as one of them, needing to make par on the menacing water-lined 18th hole to earn the coveted PGA TOUR card!

Named "Stadium" due to Dye's successful efforts of sculpting spectator seating into the natural terrain along fairways and surrounding the greens, many great moments in golf history have occurred here, including Lee Trevino's unforgettable hole-in-one on Alcatraz. This aced him the win of a huge carry-over Skin worth $175,000 in the 1987 made-for-TV "Skin's Game" hosted by PGA WEST from 1986 through 1991. With five sets of tees, the Stadium lures all skill levels and final scores should be measured by laughs and awe-inspiring moments, not by numbers on a scorecard.

PGA WEST® - TPC Stadium Course 4.3 5 160 160
Brian's choice Paid too much to play a course that is difficult enough but made more so due to lack of yardage book or GPS on carts. Like playing an a la carte course where everything is extra! Paid a lot less for more playable courses in P. Desert. May 9, 2015
Not great Not worth the money course Shape not good just ok slow play April 25, 2015
Stadium course - not the best We got a discounted rate of $49 so the course's shortcomings aren't so bad. The course is not in very good shape - they are riding a lot on their name. The pace was very good & the people were very friendly. Would only play there again at the discounted rate. Would never pay the full price. April 21, 2015
Hot hot round in the desert I will preface this by saying the weather in April was extremely hot (96) not the norm and if it were in the 80's it would of been better. The drought and hot winter effected the course condition, I don't think they could of done anything. Course played hard and fast, rock hard greens made appraoch shots very difficult, except with a wedge. The greens were true and ran fast. Very difficult course, go in with the expectation, your probably not going to score, but you can say you played a truly tough track, where the pros have played. April 19, 2015
Pete Dye - need I say more? The main difficulty is hitting and staying on the greens. Anything a foot off could be in water, sand, or at the bottom of a 20-foot dropoff. April 17, 2015
Not to be missed I've played this course multiple times and enjoy it more each time. It's tough, (don't play it with a Index of more than 12), loaded with water hazards, and each hole is an adventure. That said, the downside is that it took us 4:45 minutes to play, and the ranger who was patrolling apologized but did little to speed it up. All that said, I look forward to playing it again. PGA West, J.N. tournament course Great customer service, bar area, and patio over looking 18 excellent. Front 9 (Clint Eastwood) unforgiving, back 9 very playable for an 18 hdcper. I will play the course again and totally recommend the course to any level of golfer. Just do it. April 11, 2015
Stadium Course Exciting Fantastic day on the course . Mid day mid week perfect weather 3 hour round never saw another group until 15. Course was very good . Tees and fairways some of the best ever . Greens were smooth but pretty crusty and hard considering this should be the best conditions of the year . Not one weak hole on the course they are all interesting and enjoyable . Make sure you play the Stadium course if you are in the Coachella Valley . Cannot wait to play it again . April 9, 2015
