Rated as on of the "Top 100 Courses in the World" by GOLF MAGAZINE and 4th toughest course in America in Golf Digest's "Top 50 Toughest Courses in America (2007)," there may be no greater challenege or excitement in the game of golf than the Stadium at PGA WEST! The world famous Stadium is one of Pete Dye's finest course creations, delivering multiple adrenaline rushes throughout the round. A "must play" for all golfers, but no the faint of heart. Host to PGA TOUR "Q-School" Finals every other year, PGA TOUR hopefuls must steady their nerves to navigate the island green of hole #17, known as Alcatraz. Imagine yourself as one of them, needing to make par on the menacing water-lined 18th hole to earn the coveted PGA TOUR card!

Named "Stadium" due to Dye's successful efforts of sculpting spectator seating into the natural terrain along fairways and surrounding the greens, many great moments in golf history have occurred here, including Lee Trevino's unforgettable hole-in-one on Alcatraz. This aced him the win of a huge carry-over Skin worth $175,000 in the 1987 made-for-TV "Skin's Game" hosted by PGA WEST from 1986 through 1991. With five sets of tees, the Stadium lures all skill levels and final scores should be measured by laughs and awe-inspiring moments, not by numbers on a scorecard.

whooped This course is great for the low handicap, high ball hitters...I found it had a few hidden surprises, but it was a great time... December 18, 2014
Best anniversary ever !! The course had its challenges and made us think about shots and we were of course rewarded for our efforts.. The staff .. I felt valued as a customer . December 13, 2014
Slowest Ever Round Needs better marshaling for pace of play! Group I was with should not play a course such as this with its course rating. 15 mins plus just to get half way up the first fairway. From only got worse! December 12, 2014
Stadium Greens were a bit hit or miss. Was expecting better December 9, 2014
New to golf Great course , we only had time for the front 9 We are new to golf , but were very happy with how we played , lots of water and bunkers , but very playable for any level . You have to be accurate and straight for sure , greens are fast , bottom line lots of fun !Would highly recommend . November 12, 2014
must play challenge This is a must play for any low handicap. We played the blue tees and those still were harder than most courses. There are some great holes. Only downside is this course is mostly through housing. November 12, 2014
Beautiful & challenging course but experience soured w/ the group ahead This is a beautiful & challenging course as placement & accuracy of the ball is at a premium more than other course to say the least. Also, could be somewhat long & intimidating from the black tees. First time playing & had a great time playing the 1st couple of tees until we ran into a 4-some group ahead of us who had no clue on golf etiquette & general knowledge of the game. Hint: when there is a group behind, u don't mosey along every errant shot & u certainly don't look for every ball in the lake trying to retrieve them especially on a par 3 hole where they are patiently waiting on u. Literally, every hole had at least 3 out of the 4 hit errant drives & when I say errant, much less than 150 yards with driver. Frustrating to watch as clearly they were hackers that did not belong on this course much less any decent course. Back to the course. The condition & maintenance of the course was great but the greens was not as good & a little slow IMHO. The layout & scenery was awesome & the highlight. Last of all, staff was very good as they were friendly & informative, only gripe is I wish somehow there was a marshall or staff to pick up slow play. I would love to play here again & hopefully get the sour taste of the horrible group ahead of us out of my head & experience this wonderful course for how it was meant to be. November 10, 2014
Par 3 17th... Will you hit the 17th green? This one hole is worth the entire round. Yes, I missed the green and I will come again and try again. I wish the greens would be a little faster but in complete the package this course offers is excellent. You have fun, challenge and some challenging pin positions. November 9, 2014
