Lake of the Pines Country Club

11665 Lakeshore N Auburn, CA 95602-8325 Phone:   (530) 268-8337 URL:   Course Website

It is here that you will find Lake of the Pines; a beautiful private gated community of approximately 2,000 homes that surround a lake, with 5 miles of shoreline. The community includes a 18 hole golf course that completely encircles the lake, and provides a green-belt throughout the community. This is a very unique layout that provides homes located on the lake, golf course, or elevated, with a spectacular view of the lake and golf course.

Our close proximity to Sacramento, and the growing areas of Roseville and Stanford Ranch, offers residents all the advantages of a metropolitan lifestyle, while living in a quiet, safe, and relaxing rural-like area. In addition, it’s just a one and a half hour drive to many ski resorts including Squaw Valley at Lake Tahoe, and a little over two hours to the San Francisco Bay Area, the Napa Wine Valley, and the pristine Northern California coastal cities.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Beautiful views Overall a nice course. Hole #5 is my favorite with an elevated tee shot into a dog leg left fairway. The course has blind shots down fairways flanked by large trees. This course will help you work your mental game as you think your way around. The greens were in good shape...quick. If there were one thing I'd like to see updated on this course, it would be the driving range. It will do the job if you are looking for a place to swing a club before teeing off. Otherwise, nice course. October 9, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Okay facility The course is in a beautiful setting inside a gated community. I wouldn't call it one of the better courses in the area but that doesn't mean it's not worthy of play. The range facility is weak and long past due for an update. Lots of wildlife to enjoy right up to the point you have to pick up your ball from the green and advance to the next hole because of all the goose scat. That's a nuisance but it's also to be expected considering the location. I will play the course again but there are others I'll go to as a first choice. August 16, 2014
