Seascape Golf Club offers today`s golfers a step back in time to roam a classic course while the sound of ocean waves crash in their ears. Built in 1926 as Rio Del Mar Country Club, the course took a sabbatical during World War II, when it served as a "victory garden" to help grow crops for the nation`s war effort.
It resurrected at war`s end as Seascape, an exceedingly playable 18 holes spread over 6,000 + yards, largely protected from wind by the cypress, Monterey pine and eucalyptus trees lining the course. Barely a half-mile from the crashing waves of the Santa Cruz coast, Seascape`s classic design features manicured fairways and well positioned bunkers that guard small tricky greens.
