Very Enjoyable This course has several sets ot Tee's depending on the level of difficulty wanted. The views of the valley and the lake below are spectacular in places. Also, the course has many interesting and visually pleasing holes. Best to play it for the first time with someone who knows their way around it!! October 22, 2013
Good golf outing for anyone Cart GPS alleviates problem of blind shots, for the most part. One of the most scenic courses in the Southern Interior region. Does need some maintenance in pock marks in greens and in some small areas by paths, all possibly due to end of season. October 7, 2013
Fantastic views from every hole A great but challenging golf course - it's a "must play" in the akanagan valley. October 1, 2013
A great course for scenery and golf. I have played the Rise many times in the past few years. Spectacular vistas. Very challenging and in great shape. I have heard from low handicap golfers that they don't care for the number of blind shots. However for me,the blind shots are an extra challenge and the vistas far out weigh the blind shots. I love the fact that there are not any houses etc. built up around the fairways, it all makes for a great day of fun ,scenery and great golf. There is even a good chance you may see some wildlife. Great scenery! Far too many blind tee shots, and this course is too difficult for a 20 handicapper. The group following us were rude and offensive even though we were playing at a good pace(under four hours), and it was obvious we were waiting for the group in front of us. The starter was very friendly, but other staff ignored us. Won't be back!! September 12, 2013
Bad week to play The Rise The only issue I have with the course was that on Monday (Aug. 26th) everything was great as far as conditions where concerned. We went to the course yesterday (Aug. 28) and we find the practice green along with the other 18 holes just had their greens 'punched' the day before. Under normal circumstances you as a golfer are notified when this maintenance is gong to happen plus usually are offered a significant discount to play..neither happened ...we are schedule to play The Rise again on Friday (Aug. 29)...all times where booked with out any notification of the course condition(s). Incomparable Scenery It was difficult to concentrate on the game, the views were stunning. We laughed as we played one hole after uphill, what goes up must come down, and it did. August 29, 2013
The course combines challenge with panoramic views The course is very challenging with sloping fairways demanding accuracy. The views are stunning including both rolling hills and the lake. The course is very well maintained and we liked it so much we golfed it twice during our 2 week vacation in the Okanagan. Really friendly staff, not much of a clubhouse yet though. August 19, 2013
