Why play here? I realize the new management team for the Tucson Muni courses has a hard row to hoe. But i ask myself after trying Silverbell today why should I play here again? The greens are bumpy and the grass is more weeds than grass, the sand traps are gravel pits and often very wet, the pace of play is awful, and the fairways ned water. For the same price I will play at Crooked Tree, Quarry Pines or the Ranch and play in much better conditions. This is a minority opinion for the course was very busy today. Why it was so busy is beyond me. February 20, 2015
Silverbell Fairways and greens were excellent traps were terrible with no sand hard clay. Deal at the clubhouse was better then deal on golf now!!!!!!!!!!!!! Had that happen twice in the last month why!!!!!????? February 18, 2015
pet pieve why does all these high handicap players play from tee boxes to far back for them.played in back of 4 guys who i could out drive 40 yrds playing from a tee farther back than me.5hr round unacceptable .screws the day up for everyone.played with my wife and a another couple and we had to wait 5min. on every hole. Need Sand The Fairways and Greens are in excellent shape and provide a great place to play. Since OBSports has taken over the course there has been a huge improvment. However, the one area that needs to be addressed is the bunkers. No sand but lots of mud. Since we have not had rain in over a week I cannot understand why there is mud in the bunkers. Nice Municipal Course Silverbell is a nice course for a municipal course. Nice selection of tee options and course was in nice shape. Greens were excellent, nice roll and speed. Course layout offers variety and some interesting shot selections. Will very likely play again. Only complaints are the rock hard bunkers and that sometimes it was confusing finding the way to next hole. Won't be a problem next time but confusing for first time players. February 14, 2015
What a change I had played here befor but the course was not in very good condition. I was pleasently suprized this time. The Greens were the best I have played on in a long time here in the Tucson area. Good Job Staff. February 7, 2015
the course conditions are horrible. dirt roughs. Dirt sand traps with huge rocks throughout. hard pan greens, all make this place one horrible experience. Count on course conditions to add 4-5 strokes to your handicap...........awful! February 7, 2015
Pretty Course. Very Pretty course, fairways & greens in very nice shape. The only thing we were disappointed in was lack of directions on the course. Very few signs showing next tee box and we got lost several times. Also, bunkers were like cement. February 4, 2015
