El Conquistador Country Club
The Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort is Southern Arizona’s largest golf resort, with a total of 45 holes of championship golf on three golf courses. (9 holes are at Pusch Ridge)
On the border between nature and civilization, the resort is located on 500 acres of high Sonoran Desert and beneath the western ridge of the Santa Catalina Mountains. Golf enthusiasts have an opportunity to observe the fascinating desert wildlife while enjoying the scenic beauty of this picturesque location.
The courses are excellent examples of the work of Jeff Hardin and Greg Nash. The Scottsdale, Arizona-based designers built the courses to follow the existing contours of the land. They made use of the natural features while altering the landscape as little as possible to create 45 holes of golf.
Conquistador
The resort’s premier course, the 18-hole Conquistador is a 6,801-yard par 71 with a rating of 72.7 and a slope of 126. Recently renovated, the course provides an exceptional golf experience for all skill levels.
Canada
The 18-hole Cañada course is a 6,713-yard par 72 with a rating of 72.2 and a slope of 140. The challenge of this course is in the proper club selection. Many golfers prefer the Cañada course because it demands a good deal of strategy, requiring a player to use every club.
