Arizona National (formerly The Raven Golf Club at Sabino Springs) is desert golf at its finest. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., the golf course meanders among the foothills of Tucson`s beautiful Santa Catalina Mountains as it follows the rugged natural flow of the land across shady mesquite-lined arroyos and skirts craggy rock outcroppings.

Along the way, its diverse 6,776-yard layout will throw enough tough decisions and classic golf-in-the-desert challenges at you to test the very limits of your ability. Yet, it has the flexibility to do so without ever becoming unfair. And, its always fun!

As compensation for the challenge, you`ll also get to enjoy some of the most spectacular scenery of any golf course in the Southwest, including panoramic mountain vistas, forests of giant saguaros, and the rare beauty of nine natural springs.

Arizona National has formed an alliance with the University of Arizona to become the home course of the University of Arizona Wildcats men`s and women`s collegiate teams. The teams will practice and play regularly at Arizona National and will also be host to all University of Arizona collegiate events.

Play this course, it is nice and has great views of the city!! I played this course at 8:40 in the morning with a friend and we didn't have any problems with playing at our own speed. The night before it had rained so the course was a little wet, but nothing more to note. The course was in good shape in my opinion. Greens we all but perfect for this time of year, same with the fairways. Tee boxes have the typical crown to them and they are consistent which is nice. Bunkers weren't visited by us but they looked a little hard. Grass is everywhere with minimal dry areas and we didn't feel like we were missing anything while playing the round. Course can be challenging at times with some very blind shots if you play from the blues or blacks, but it has a nice layout and excellent views all around. This is a must play if you've never played here before. August 13, 2014
Arizona National This is one of the best courses I've ever played, dificult but challenging August 11, 2014
Good not great The fairway grass is thin, but is sufficient. The greens are consistently in good condition. The staff is almost missing in amount of on site people but this should not affect your round. August 10, 2014
fun layout and beautiful foothills views of the city I have played this course several times. The fairways were a bit spotty but not enough to take away from a great day. The greens were not up to their usual speed due to what looked like recent aeration of the greens. The layout is a good test and National has a good layout for target golf. A first timer would be wise to by a play book before taking the challenge of the blind shots that make National a good test. 18 has one of the best and most fun tee shots in Tucson. The 200 foot drop into the fairway on a par five is a shot you won't forget. Bring your camera. August 8, 2014
Best golf with a view in town The only reason I can't give this course a 5 isn't for the course's look but for it's set up. The course is by far immaculate. It has breathtaking waterfalls, lots of water holes and beautiful greens. I was told it looked bad last year sue to some manage my problems but let me tell you that is no longer the case. My only hang up is all the blind shots. There are some wild holes where you have to aim at markers because of the way it is set up. If you're a mountain golfer you will be in heaven. Definitely worth the trip to the mountain. August 4, 2014
Good Condition and great value I picked up my tee time the night before at a great discount on Besides a few dry spots on the course, the overall condition was outstanding. Especially the greens. Compared to many of the other courses in town, AZ National is in great shape for summer. August 2, 2014
