Rated 3 out of 5 by jnulr Otero is not my favorite of the combinations.
This particular 9 is designed poorly in my opinion. I prefer Rancho and/or Anza.

Rated 2 out of 5 by mrflanders Disappointed
We were booked for 1:30. The first nine was fine, but they had stuck 5 or 6 foursomes ahead of us on the second nine that were extremely slow, making waiting times upwards of 10-15 minutes for us to tee off on each hole. We finished after sunset and weren't able to play the last hole because of the lack of light.
If they can't manage their scheduling better than that, we would never play Tubac again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ERNIEJR7 lost ball
hard to find ball in the rough lost balls due to the high grass and many leaves on the ground green are in good shape just hit the ball in the fair ways and you be ok

Played Otero/Anza courses 2X this week (Rancho course currently closed for overseed). It was afternoon, so was hot with nice breeze that didn't affect play. Course in pretty good shape; greens excellent - ball rolls smoothly!! Only issues encountered were the leaves near edges of fairways and just off fairways (hard to find a ball that got near the edge of some Anza fairways). Beautiful course in both layout and scenery. RECOMMEND HIGHLY!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by cherylfish Very disappointed
Expected much more for a resort course and for the price. Overall conditions of the course was poor. Lost several balls in the fairway..........rough was extreme.....pace of play was terrible......no Marshall. Only positive were the greens........rolled true and smooth. Will not return.

Rated 5 out of 5 by millslj Surprisingly good condition
Pleasantly surprised with course conditions just a week before overseeding. Expected less because of very low price. Played many times since 1975, Otero #5 is getting more difficult as trees grow. Rancho fairways needed to be cut, ball didn't roll very far. I understand though because of upcoming overseeding. A little miffed at people not repairing ball marks on greens. Overall fun day.
