Introducing Oakcreek Country Club

Oakcreek Country Club, designed by the famous father and son team of Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Robert Trent Jones Jr., can truly be described as a work of art. The par 72, 18-hole championship golf course is nestled among the red rocks of Sedona, Arizona with views beyond compare and the golf course design a masterpiece.

The golf course is a traditional layout similar to those that you may find in the midwestern United States. In the usual Trent Jones manner, the fairways are classic tree lined doglegs with fairway bunkers strategically placed in the landing areas, and the greens are all slightly elevated and surrounded with large swirling greenside bunkers. The course is "player friendly", allowing plently of room for error but always with an opportunity to recover and get errant shots back into play.

The golf course consists of 145 acres, including three lakes. Water comes into play twice on the front nine between the #1 and #9 holes. On the back nine the water comes into play on holes #13 and #16 and occasionally, on hole #15. Recent renovations to the golf course include brand new concrete cart paths and all the greenside bunkers rebuilt under the watchful eyes of the Robert Trent Jones Jr. design firm.

Beautiful Course There are big trees lined up on both sides of the fairway. This is a beautiful course and it is very well maintained. Greens are very smooth. It is a little slower than its appearance. The pace of the play is great. I want to come back and play this course again. July 22, 2014
Bring your Straight Shot If you can stay in the fairway, then you'll have a chance to score well. All the greens are elevated so be sure to use an extra club or you'll find yourself short in front of the green. The fairways were in great shape and the greens were fairly speedy. Hard to sometimes figure out which way the ball will break on the greens. July 19, 2014
a playable course a very playable course, great condition, greens are tricky but not tricked up July 17, 2014
Fun and playable course - great shape! We had a great time playing this course for the first time. Not excessively difficult but fun and challenging holes. Conditions of fairways and greens were excellent. This was our favorite between this and Sedona Golf Resort. July 12, 2014
Slow play Hard to get any kind of rhythm going when you're waiting 10 minutes every hole to tee off. 18 holes took almost 5 hours, ridiculous. July 7, 2014
REALLY!!! Nice ride up in the morning with my wife about 1 hour 45 mins north of Phoenix. Got to the golf course only to have the gold shop personnel become rude and laughing at my request to have my wife ride along with me at not charge... but that was impossible because they needed they $16 dollars to keep the golf course running.... this became a bigger ordeal before I even started at the first tee box with someone who I believe was management he never introduced himself so I don't know who he was.... he proceeded to insult me to the point of a physical altercation... this course is a waste of money and time when golf courses in phoenix are more accommodating and pleasureable to a person of my stature... I have tweeted the world of this horrible experience. July 5, 2014
Great mountain scenery Nice course, well maintained but no one to check on pace of play. July 4, 2014
Super slow course too tough for even a single handicap We played at 11 am on a Tuesday and we were so back up we left after ten holes. The course was in good shape, staff friendly as can be but the course is often extremely unfair and I shoot to a 6. Sedona Golf resort is so much better it's next door we played a three hour round there and the course was ten times better and better vistas. June 25, 2014
