Course was in very good condition Got a great deal on my round, and will definitely be back. The course was in very good condition, considering the time of year. I think the greens may have been punched in June, but they rolled very true and pretty fast. July 18, 2014
Good day on the links The course was in very good condition considering it was mid July. The best bargain I have found in Scottsdale this summer. July 17, 2014
Great conditions for the summer in Phoenix The best summer time greens that I have played this year. Always a fun course to play. July 13, 2014
great courses to play The Desert and Canyon Courses are in excellent shape all around. Canyon is challenging with some sloping fairways. A slight criticism is that the bunkers are hard and not soft sand. However, both course layouts and views of the valley area are fantastic. If you have not played the Phoenician--don't wait. Just do it! July 11, 2014
Fast Play/Great Shape Played an afternoon 18 in 3 hours and the course was in fantastic shape for this time of year. Outstanding views from both the Desert and Canyon nines. July 10, 2014
Play the Canyon; Skip the Oasis We were thrilled to golf at this legendary resort and were looking forward to the round as we drove to the Phoenician. Our first greeting wasn't really a greeting at "Is this your first time here?" or "Welcome back". We had little direction from the Starter regarding our place in the tee-off sequence and weren't ever called to the tee. The Starter and the bag guys need to take a walk down the road to the Camelback Resort to learn how to meet/greet/assist their customers. The Canyon course was breathtaking, challenging, in great shape and was fun to golf. The Oasis course was in fair condition with much ground under repair, and poorly marked indications of those repairs. Not one word was said by the Starter that there was work going on at the Oasis course. Overall, this course was not an "oasis" at all. There are many other courses that feature water which are much more lush. I kept waiting for the "Wow!" but it never happended. We had a very nice lunch in the RELISH restaurant and the cart girl was also very nice. So, we enjoyed the experience. But, we also played The Boulders, Troon North, Rancho Manana in the past 2 weeks and I would choose any of those, and Camelback's Padre, or McCormick Ranch before returning to the Oasis at the Phoenician.
