Palm Coirse This was a wonderful experience. The Palm Course was in great shape. The facility is beautiful and the staff was friendly and competent. I will return because this was a good value. April 10, 2015
Disappointed! Although conveniently located and a decent layout, I found the overall condition of the course to be poor. Rough was weedy, the fairway' grass was thin and matted and there was hardly any sand in the bunkers. The matting under the sand was sticking out in several bunkers. Save your money and play a muni. less than 4 hours First time playing the pines. Played Palm last year. Not too much difference, perhaps the pines is a bit tighter? But eventhough you may have to punch out on a wayward tee shot, you will find your balls. Was surprised to see so many unfixed ball marks on the greens? teed off at 730 with another twosome and played in less than 4 hours. Course wasnt that busy at that time. Will play it again at a reasonable rate. A 60 dollar course in my opinion. April 6, 2015
The Palm course is an old gem. She starts out gently then makes you work or pay the price. April 6, 2015
Not worth the money We played on a Friday morning and waited for 2 groups on every hole. The pace was terrible. There was a marshal, but he just drove around and never talked to us or anyone that we saw. It was quite a challenging course as there was sand and water everywhere (usually sand almost completely around each hold). I have not broke 100 yet but was close until this course. The course was in poor condition, often hitting out of sandy grass! I do not recommend it at all! The worst part was the waiting. It took almost 5 1/2 hours to play 18 :( April 5, 2015
Timing is key My wife and I teed off early afternoon and felt like we had the course to ourselves. We felt the course was in good shape making it a good value for the green fees charged. The staff we encountered were not welcoming leaving us with the impression they didn't really care if we were there or not. April 2, 2015
good value for scottsdale i was expecting a little more from the mccormick ranch from online reviews. good value although i was offered a "special" rate as a guest of scottsdale resort at $111, then booked a time on golfnow for $69. felt almost cheated. course conditions were good. nice practice facilities. breakfast sandwich was awesome. gps was a little cheesy but better than nothing. played the palm course. pretty tight with houses and condos but heard the pine was tighter. overall good experiance. very nice area in Scottsdale overall this is a nice course in a very nice area town with nice staff and good service. however the front 9 is in much better condition than the back 9. The back 9 it's a little sparse on grass in the fairway in some areas. April 2, 2015
