Nice Course! We came here on a Saturday and it was very crowded. Played with an other guest and had to wait from the first tee as we had some very slow flights in front of us. After having played whole 11 we turned back to whole 1 where we were allone and could play in a normal pace. All in all the course was in a very good condition and we enjoyed our game! The cart staff is great. The cart staff certainly eased the pain of a five plus hour round. we saw the Ranger two or three times during our 18 holes, but I don't think he ever had anyone pick up the pace of play. At times there was a hole and a half empty in front of the group ahead of us. If you don't mind waiting on every shot, this may be the place for you. also, for a course just coming out Of overseeding, the course was average or less. October 11, 2014
Craig's Comments Last course we played on a week long golf trip.Good value and convenient if you're staying in a Scottsdale area hotel. Food and beverage needs lots of improvement - little or no food available at the turn. Drink carts have a very meager selection of alcohol. Course was very busy on the day we played - they are missing an opportunity to sell a lot of food and drinks. Would I play here again? Probably but I would bring something to eat rather than depending on the little food stand at the turn. October 11, 2014
Very Slow How can a course allow a group of five out on a course! They claimed that there were only four golf bags and that one person was just riding along. Garbage. All five people were playing! And the Marshall didn't even realize it! We had to point it out and finally once he approached them about it, their pace of play finally picked up. Side note, beverage cart service was almost non existent during our round. In 5+ hours of being in the course, ridiculous, we saw the beverage cart twice. Whe you spend over $70 for a round of golf and we aren't even into season yet, I expect a lot more from the course and the staff to prevent aggravation like this. The course conditions themselves are the only thing that was a positive. October 11, 2014
Good value My club course was closed for overseed, so booked a discount tee time for Saturday morning. Fair test of skill from the white tees; blues are much tougher, stretching to 7000-plus yards. Good condition overall but greens a tad crusty as temp rose. Water in play on 1/3 of holes, strategically placed, too. Tees were a bit shaggy, not closely mown. Good value for the price. McCormick Ranch Course was in poor condition, clumps of grass clippings all over the fairways. The maintenance staff was discourteous, they didn't stop or shut off their equipment when you were hitting. We won't be playing this course again. October 2, 2014
well kept For this late in the season the course was well maintained compared to the three courses where I live. Real sand in the traps and maintained even after the monsoons. I d not think I would pay a high rate for this, it is not esthetically beautiful, but it is a good course September 26, 2014
