Legend Trail Golf Club
It is a fun course to play. Greens are fast and very challenging. The course is in very good condition.

Tough back 9
Fairways and greens are in excellent condition. Back 9 is tough with several forced carries required. Pace of play was too long at 5 hours due to people looking for lost balls.
Overall good experience.

Excellent desert course.
Legend Trail is a wonderful course to play. It can be quite challenging, but the holes are well designed. There is quite a bit of variety due to the subtle elevation changes. I teed of at 7:20AM and we finished our round by 10:30AM

The course is very challenging and fair. Most holes require a substantial "carry" off the tees. Course was is great condition with near perfect greens.

The back 9 holes are demanding
We liked the course, the front was fair the back it is better to tee from the yellow tees.

Best value in Scottsdale
For half the price of Troon, TPC, Boulders, etc. you get a fun challenge on immaculate grass. We played on a Sat morning about 4 weeks after their fall maintenance. The winter rye had come in thick and luscious, with perfect lies all day in fairways and rough. Bunker sand was a little thin in places, but generally OK. Big undulating greens we're soft, fast and true--really excellent greens. The back 9 is the more challenging of the two sides, but there are some great views and fun holes on the front too. Customer service was outstanding; we were 15 min late for our tee time, but the assistant pro swapped us with another 4some with no problem. Pace of play was good: 4h15m (would have been faster without cart path only, but we enjoyed the exercise walking more of the course during the cool morning). Next time I will show up earlier and invest in a yardage book; there are a couple of deceiving tee shots on the back side that I would have played differently and kept my ball in play had I known where to aim. Can't wait to come back and play Legend Trail again next year; would highly recommend for intermediate to good players--you will not be disappointed with this little gem.
