Course was dry I don't know if it was the time of year we played, but the maintenance staff was thatching around the greens. Created lots of dust as the course was very dry. Bunkers were unplayable. October 2, 2014
3 vs Foursome I had booked on line though GolfNow.com and at the time only had a 3some. Later I discovered another out of town relative wanted to play. I didn't call the course (my bad) for didn't think my extra would pose a problem for us. The course had already put a 4th with our group but after my explaining what had happened their staff was quick to remedy my oversight and was able to accommodate everyone. September 29, 2014
Waste of Time The pictures on their web site must be from several years ago. The course has been severely neglected. The course is yellow. Greens are beat up. Bunkers are horrible. Even the carts are probably 10 years old... September 29, 2014
Obviously getting ready to overseed Yes, I get it, they are preparing to overseed. But that is no excuse for letting every single bunker go down the drain. It's been a few days since it rained, and they are plenty dry. Deep fissures from water flow remain, with the expected hard crust on the rest of it. Enough sand remains, a guy with a rake could make them playable in a few minutes. They haven't even tried. Otherwise it's a very nice layout, after the overseeding it should be four or five stars. Right now, it's two. September 25, 2014
Heads up The staff was not overly friendly , access to driving range is not friendly , the course was in very poor condition, however the big rain had don't damage to all the bunkers and they were in need of repair, this course has possibilities, but upper management needs to turn on their lite bulb September 24, 2014
Course is well maintained Had a great time, challenging but manageable. Friendly staff and good food. September 9, 2014
Really different feel for the valley I've lived in the Phoenix area for almost 15 years now and for some reason I've never had the opportunity to play The Raven, but got to play here last weekend. I have to say I was extremely impressed with the course and the facility. The whole design with the Afghan Pine forest and cinder hills surrounding the holes is really intriguing and surprisingly scenic given it's urban location. Surrounding structures are very well concealed so there is this feeling on many of the holes that you are playing at some high elevation location in Utah rather than the stereotypical saguaro/palo verde desert style course so common here. The course was in impeccable condition.. not extremely difficult, but not a push over either. Greens were perfect and rolled true (not that I could figure them out lol). Finished a great round with an outstanding Cuban sandwich at the clubhouse. Overally, a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for and I will be back. September 9, 2014
Well maintained course Great food, cold towels and ice are provided. This course is an excellent place to play. September 6, 2014
