Raven Golf Club - Phoenix
A must play and great value for conditions
Very pleasing course, beautifully manicured with pine lined fairways and manicured bushes and flowers. Fair amount of water for a desert course. Greens Country Club fast but receptive. Fairways generous especially but have higher risk for longer hitters. They have a first class club fitter there Al Murdock and a teaching facility. Food after the round was excellent and good value. small bag of balls included. for the condition and value the price was very reasonable especially compared to Scottsdale out outlying newer courses. Only downside was the $20 added "pro shop credit" fee. no way to opt out and had a few days before expiration - had to use that day essentially. we did find something on clearance rack to combine two players credits.

This course has great features
Not your typical desert course as course is lined with Georgia Pine trees. Overall excellent course to play.

A Real Gem
One of the best courses in southern Phoenix I have had the opportunity to play. The staff was very accommodating getting us out earlier than our scheduled tee time. My playing partner and I found the course to be in great shape, with exceptional greens. Pace of play was great; played in less than 4 1/2 hours. Would definitely recommend this course to fellow golfers.

The course is unique.
With all the pine trees and large deep bunkers this course can play difficult in windy conditions like we experienced .

Carolina in Arizona
We enjoyed a nice afternoon at The Raven. Course was in good shape and provides a good challenge.

Great course, played in peak season, excellent value, tough but fair, immaculately kept, staff was very friendly and very accommodating. I would recommend Raven to anyone coming down to Phoenix as a very good course to play during your stay.

the course was in good shape
it fun playing the tight fairways with all the hazards, traos were good for both playing sand wedge or even a shot from a fairway bunker. Pace of play was perfect.

I used my free foursome to play this round. I had never played this course before, but had heard good things about it, so I thought it would be a good opportunity to check it out. The course did not disappoint.
Though the course was challenging, it was not a torturous desert course by any means. The fairways were navigable and a wayward shot did not necessarily cost you; you could usually find an angle to recover. Nevertheless, if you wanted to make par or better at each hole, you needed to hit your targets.
The greens were always in very good condition. Only one or two had any form of blemish at all, and that was only if you looked for it. They ran quick on the day we played, but they were very consistent.
Being a local, I will probably not see this course again until the summer when the rates come down, but this was a course that should prove worth the extra rate to anyone visiting the Valley looking for that special round.
