very enjoyable Great value, enjoyed the two distinctly different 9's. The course present a pretty good challenge to any caliber of golfer. Front 9 grenade could have been betree. December 5, 2014
First and last time playing here. I was excited to play this course as I have driven past imany times however next time I will keep driving. Opun arrival we learned there was a large tournament that was running late. After waiting for golf carts to be returned, we were started 45 minutes later then our reservation. The marshall had every group hitting on top of each other and there was a long line to get to the first tee. During our time playing there were three seperate groups backed up waiting to play holes and we were all waiting fifteen minutes or more to tee off. When I first attempted to take the edge off with a drink, my request was met with a friendly "I'm sorry the big tournament cleaned me out of that and all of my back ups" from the cart girl on my first four choices of alcohol. I learned from an employee on my way out the large tournament showed up an hour late. It is unfortunate that lack of proper planning of both the tournament players and the resort had to ruin our day. Great course! A fun, challenging, and unique course. This course offers some unique challenging holes especially on the back 9! You will also get some amazing views (especially on 18)! The staff was also very friendly. November 23, 2014
11-22-2014 Pace a bit slow, but to be expected on a weekend - not too bad at all. Course in great shape - cart path only, but recently over-seeded and should be on full access soon. November 23, 2014
Wait for the back 9 The first 8 holes were frankly unimpressive. But then, the course shoots off in to South Mountain Park, the largest city park in the western hemisphere. Wow. Make sure you bring a camera. Stunning views of the mountain, gorgeous holes with narrow fairways and confined landing areas. You'll need to leave the driver in the bag and focus on hitting fairways. Putts break hard away from the mountain (I had one break uphill.) If it were 18 holes of the back 9, this would be 5 stars. Pace of play was slow, but not out of line for a resort course. First Time Playing the course Excellent tract but it would be better if playing it with someone who knew the course. Had to club down several times as the course is a little tighter on the back than the front and was afraid of running out of fairway. Greens were rolling true and the course was in good shape. Very challenging variety of hazards Coarse was in great shape with very challenging bunker/water hazards made for a great round of golf November 19, 2014
Very nice golf course Beautiful views of the panorama.Cart path only because of overseeding. Will definitely play again. November 10, 2014
