Besides the first frost delay of the year which backed my tee time up 1 hr it was well worth the wait. The course is not overly long from the gold tees which we played from. It's a solid test of golf. Holes play both ways so to score well you have to move the ball to get in the right position since the bunkers do come into play on a lot of the par 4's. My only neg . Feed back is the lack of consistancy of the greens from the front nine to the back nine. Greens in the front were fast and smooth. The greens on the back nine were much slower and grainier . But overall the fairways were lush a little soggy in spots but it's not a game killer. Overall it's a fun course to play if you play early probably really slow play if you wait till mid morning. Bloody Mary s were awesome during the frost delay but a bit pricey 7$

Staff are all friendly and helpful. Rough is dormant Bermuda, can be a challenge at times. I had to pick a specific date for this review, but I play this course once a week. It never gets boring.

I was staying at Harrah's Ak-Chin and was looking for an alternative to Southern Dunes as it was closed for over seeding, and I found The Duke. Glad I did, nice course for probably a third of what I would of paid at Southern Dunes and didn't have to deal with the flies that seem to invade Southern Dunes. Fairways were still in the over seeding process; so the grass was a little long and the greens were a little slow, but course was in good condition and I had a great time. I will likely choose The Duke over Southern Dunes the next time I am up to play, especially now that over seeding is over. I didn't try the food at the 19th hole; so can't comment on it.

The course is extremely wet, even though there hasn't been any rain in the last several days. There are several water ways that cross the course, several areas in which the fairways are wet, and the bunkers must have been recently watered. There is neither a range finder on the carts nor outlines of the holes on the card for the player unfamiliar with the course.

Generous fairways, but enough challenges (bunkers, water, undulating greens), to make the course challenging.

Fairways were ok on some holes. The rough and desert areas look awful and could be really nice. For the drive out there, it should have been better. To many other great courses around

Great overseed, greens rolling fast and true. Generous fairways. Good value for buck.

Decent course with wide open fairways. Wanders through a subdivision but you don't feel claustrophobic. A pretty nice practice area. Some better holes architecturally on the back nine. No frills or polish but nicely maintained for what you get. I'm sure the folks here appreciate a lower cost alternative to Southern Dunes.
