Jack Nicklaus took advantage of the High Sonoran Desert setting to integrate strategy, variety and fair shot values into his Signature golf course at The Golf Club at Dove Mountain. With his first Tucson golf course in 25 years, the famed Golden Bear designed 27 holes, each a par 36 that presents unique challenges and distinct character, blending naturally among noble saguaros that stand together along the surrounding Tortolita Mountain Range.

The Golf Club at Dove Mountain's Saguaro/Tortolita course was unveiled to a global audience during the 2009 World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship. The top 64 players in the World Rankings return in February, when another week of exciting, head-to-head competition is anticipated on the same course that can be enjoyed by golfers of all ages and abilities.

Only 80 minutes south of Phoenix, the award-winning Golf Club at Dove Mountain is a dream destination. The elite desert venue, where elevation ranges from 2,300 to 3,000 feet, offers incredible views of the mountain ranges that surround the greater Tucson area. Golfers can reenact the shot-making of today’s legendary players, just as Nicklaus envisioned, and fine-tune their game at the comprehensive, 12-acre practice facility.

The Golf Club at Dove Mountain is also home to a 45,000 square foot clubhouse, offering full-service locker rooms and golf shop with a selection of premium merchandise and rental equipment. Inside, Cayton’s restaurant opens out to an elegant covered patio, the perfect setting to relax with a signature beverage, or just enjoy the vibrant Arizona sunset from beside the natural stone fireplace. Cayton’s is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily and features American comfort cuisine with a Southwestern flare.

The Golf Club at Dove Mountain is a place that embodies the authentic outdoor lifestyle of the High Sonoran Desert. Enjoy the enchanting, panoramic views and the rich visual history in this picturesque retreat, where adventure and a gracious spirit of hospitality come to life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Looks Just like it does on TV Fabulous, beautiful, best looking course I've seen in a long time. Really good GPS on carts. Great practice facilities. Greens not to fast but a lot of undulations. Can't say it enough, must play. August 28, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful Golf Course What a beautiful layout. I played the Burro and Sagurro nines and both were in very nice condition. The Burro nine was probably a bit more scenic. I ended up playing as a single as there weren't many early risers that day and went out as the first time so I cant really comment on pace of play. Different sets of tees for all levels. Plenty of room off the tee to keep it enjoyable. This is a bargain now and should be on your play list if you can. August 27, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Dove Mountain I play this course about once a year. Every time I play it I leave shaking my head then I guess that wears off a year later and I try again. The course is beautiful, the staff is friendly and the place is in great shape. But the course is almost unplayable. Typical of Jack Nicklaus courses. Tough course then you get to the greens and you are lucky to two putt. Makes for a very annoying golf round. And honestly paying $70 a round when it is summer and a 110 degrees is a bit too much. The most annoying part is the beverage cart. $5 for a Gatorade and $3 for a candy bar. 2 Gatorade and 3 candy bars for me and my cart buddy plus tip was $23. I know folks have to make money but to take what would cost $7 at a store and triple it is a bit too much. So in summary great course beauty, great condition, too difficult to play and be prepared to be annoyed by the greens and the stupid F&B prices!! August 26, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Always Great This is always a great place to play. The 3 nines are all in great shape and challenging. August 26, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by THIRSTY Beautiful course, but instead of GPS on the carts a few water stations would have been better. August 19, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by What a great value As the hot summer goes, there are great values for those golfers willing to endure the heat. The Dove Mt. Course was in fantastic shape. The greens were a little slow but true. They run on a skeleton staff but you woldnt know it. There even was a beverage cart though only 7-8 foursomes one the entire course. I wish I had the tine, I'd play this track every week. August 19, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very nice but not quite as nice as The Gallery I played Dove Mountain with a friend yesterday for the first time. The greens and fairways weren't quite nice shape with a few dry and occasional bare spots in the fairways. The Teebox is needed to be cut but we're otherwise quite nice. This is a tough course even from the yellow tees which we played (6300 yards). Every drive has bunkers and play, every approach has bunkers and play. The greens have undulations and multiple levels and are tough, period. We played the Tortolita nine in the Wild Burro nine. We did not play the saguaro nine. We got a great hot deal for this round and I can't wait to go back. However, I will say that I liked The Gallery at Dove Mountain (both courses) slightly better than this course. August 13, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Course in the Southwest I guess the PGA was correct when they selected this course as possibly the best in the Southwest but definantely the best in all of Tucson and Oro Valley. Maybe they do know something about golf courses. August 13, 2015
