Jack Nicklaus took advantage of the High Sonoran Desert setting to integrate strategy, variety and fair shot values into his Signature golf course at The Golf Club at Dove Mountain. With his first Tucson golf course in 25 years, the famed Golden Bear designed 27 holes, each a par 36 that presents unique challenges and distinct character, blending naturally among noble saguaros that stand together along the surrounding Tortolita Mountain Range.

The Golf Club at Dove Mountain's Saguaro/Tortolita course was unveiled to a global audience during the 2009 World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship. The top 64 players in the World Rankings return in February, when another week of exciting, head-to-head competition is anticipated on the same course that can be enjoyed by golfers of all ages and abilities.

Only 80 minutes south of Phoenix, the award-winning Golf Club at Dove Mountain is a dream destination. The elite desert venue, where elevation ranges from 2,300 to 3,000 feet, offers incredible views of the mountain ranges that surround the greater Tucson area. Golfers can reenact the shot-making of today’s legendary players, just as Nicklaus envisioned, and fine-tune their game at the comprehensive, 12-acre practice facility.

The Golf Club at Dove Mountain is also home to a 45,000 square foot clubhouse, offering full-service locker rooms and golf shop with a selection of premium merchandise and rental equipment. Inside, Cayton’s restaurant opens out to an elegant covered patio, the perfect setting to relax with a signature beverage, or just enjoy the vibrant Arizona sunset from beside the natural stone fireplace. Cayton’s is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily and features American comfort cuisine with a Southwestern flare.

The Golf Club at Dove Mountain is a place that embodies the authentic outdoor lifestyle of the High Sonoran Desert. Enjoy the enchanting, panoramic views and the rich visual history in this picturesque retreat, where adventure and a gracious spirit of hospitality come to life.

Great course The views were fantastic. The course in great Shape. We played at 12:30 we didn't' see anyone the whole round we played in less than 4 hrs. The course was difficult if you were not straight and my wife had a few hard holes because of forced carries over desert. Would recommend highly. January 20, 2015
Very challenging but beautiful course Great conditions, great weather but very challenging. Easy to get discouraged if full golf game is not firing together but the views and course are worth it. January 19, 2015
A resort course this is not! Don't know what Jack was thinking if this was built as a resort course. Seemingly every hole, fairway, green side or on the green had severe sloops. So much so that it just got to be laughable. I like a challenge but this was over the top for the group I played with. The course was in great shape, the weather perfect BUT... It is fun to play a course that the pros play. I now see why they felt this was the worst course they played all year. It just isn't fun. January 17, 2015
great course and staff Pace if play was excellent (4hrs) and staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Course was in excellent condition and greens difficult and fast. Some holes, other than par 3s, were cart path only and not sure why. Overall all experience was excellent and I can't wait to play again on a "hot deal" special. January 14, 2015
Great course Great course - staff was great and meal in bistro after was great as well. Recommend playing it if chance January 12, 2015
Play where the PGA Tour Plays! This is a challenging yet fair course for all player types. As with most desert courses, keeping the ball in the fairway is essential. The greens are well-maintained with a quick pace but rolled true. However, with multiple benches on the greens, most of the pin placements required a ball within a 10-15 radius for a chance at birdie. I had a great experience and would play again! December 30, 2014
Greate condition This cours is one of the best in Tucson area. Greens are set up for profesional golfers. Today, send traps are with water in. That suprice me because when I play this cours before was everything perfect. December 29, 2014
Things have changed!!!!!!! WOW! Things have changed here! When this was a RITZ Property, it was a fun time and people treated you with respect. Now, good luck finding anyone to meet you at the Bag Drop. I had to take my clubs from the bag drop (as I had 3 staff members walk past me) to what I thought was an empty cart. As soon as I did, I was told that it wasn't available (no name on the cart). I was then given a cart that was dirty! My group wasn't called to the tee so when we drove over there were two groups saying that they were to be on the tee. No beverage cart on the course (and was told there would be one) and the beverage shack by the #1 and #10 Tournament Course was closed too. Group in front of us played in 5 hours (so we played in 5:05). My friend called the Pro Shop and asked to have a ranger come out and talk with them (we could see 2 holes open all day long), and was told that "we don't have rangers". I will be happy to spend my hard earned money elsewhere. December 29, 2014
