Jack Nicklaus took advantage of the High Sonoran Desert setting to integrate strategy, variety and fair shot values into his Signature golf course at The Golf Club at Dove Mountain. With his first Tucson golf course in 25 years, the famed Golden Bear designed 27 holes, each a par 36 that presents unique challenges and distinct character, blending naturally among noble saguaros that stand together along the surrounding Tortolita Mountain Range.

The Golf Club at Dove Mountain's Saguaro/Tortolita course was unveiled to a global audience during the 2009 World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship. The top 64 players in the World Rankings return in February, when another week of exciting, head-to-head competition is anticipated on the same course that can be enjoyed by golfers of all ages and abilities.

Only 80 minutes south of Phoenix, the award-winning Golf Club at Dove Mountain is a dream destination. The elite desert venue, where elevation ranges from 2,300 to 3,000 feet, offers incredible views of the mountain ranges that surround the greater Tucson area. Golfers can reenact the shot-making of today’s legendary players, just as Nicklaus envisioned, and fine-tune their game at the comprehensive, 12-acre practice facility.

The Golf Club at Dove Mountain is also home to a 45,000 square foot clubhouse, offering full-service locker rooms and golf shop with a selection of premium merchandise and rental equipment. Inside, Cayton’s restaurant opens out to an elegant covered patio, the perfect setting to relax with a signature beverage, or just enjoy the vibrant Arizona sunset from beside the natural stone fireplace. Cayton’s is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily and features American comfort cuisine with a Southwestern flare.

The Golf Club at Dove Mountain is a place that embodies the authentic outdoor lifestyle of the High Sonoran Desert. Enjoy the enchanting, panoramic views and the rich visual history in this picturesque retreat, where adventure and a gracious spirit of hospitality come to life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ambiance Beautiful course in a beautiful setting on a beautiful is good! Our back nine...the Saguaro...was cart path only but we didn't know until we actually started play one bothered to tell us. No club/ball washers on the course or on the cart. November 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by 1st time It was my first time playing Dove Mountain & it was great. Staff took care of clubs making sure we knew were we were going. Eric was fantastic not only did he get us tournament 18, he helped us out by noting on golf car I was handicapped so we could drive cart on fairway & closer to greens. Must play for all!! 1st timer November 14, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Course While this is more expensive than other courses in this area, it is WELL worth the money. Fantastic environment, beautiful fairways and greens. We played as a twosome, so we waited a bit , but no big deal. We play here one round every year while in Oro Valley for a week.... AJ & Annie November 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by the best I have played a couple of times and enjoyed it very much November 10, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by My mistake Attending a conference, and tried to fit in a round of golf. Green fee was really much less than I would have thought, so booked a tee time as a single. A single on a beautiful Sunday afternoon was a mistake. Got behind 2-3 foursomes, and after about an hour and 45 minutes, I was waiting on the 7th tee. Decided I would spend the rest of the afternoon doing something else. Guess $80 for 6 holes was not that great of a bargain after all. When I returned the cart, no one was there to ask why I was quitting early or assist in loading my clubs. I would think this caliber of course would have better service November 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best course we have played in Arizona Just a wonderful course in very good condition. Did not have to use the cart paths although it was recently over-seeded. Also, the staff was excellent. We stopped to have a drink and light food at the restaurant, during happy hour, and it was great too. November 3, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great course For a bogey golfer it was a challenge. Greens putted true and were well maintained. Overseeding caused more walking on the front side than we are used to. Beautiful desert course. October 28, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Too many other oprions in Tucson/Oro Valley There are several other less expensive options for golf nearby and unless you desire a Nicklaus design, I would play the others first. The conditioning of the Wild Burro 9 was average, surprising for the period after overseed and considering all the rain that has fallen in Tuscon in the last 2 weeks.Totolita 9 was cart path only and was in better condition. The worst part was the extremely poor pace of play. It is downright disappointing to pay a premium price and endure a 5 hour round. This is part of the reason we have fewer golfers nationwide than 10 years ago. The course is not an easy one and playing the proper tees is imperative. Dove Mountain needs to post a sign to direct players to proper tee boxes for their skill level. In addition, a ranger with authority would be of great assistance. No one seriously enjoys a 5 hour round of golf. Each of us wants to blame the grooup in front. The expectation of any foursome should be absolutely no more than 4 hours - why don't pro shops and rangers relay this to every group? As always, I vote with my $ so do not expect me back soon.
