Jack Nicklaus took advantage of the High Sonoran Desert setting to integrate strategy, variety and fair shot values into his Signature golf course at The Golf Club at Dove Mountain. With his first Tucson golf course in 25 years, the famed Golden Bear designed 27 holes, each a par 36 that presents unique challenges and distinct character, blending naturally among noble saguaros that stand together along the surrounding Tortolita Mountain Range.

The Golf Club at Dove Mountain's Saguaro/Tortolita course was unveiled to a global audience during the 2009 World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship. The top 64 players in the World Rankings return in February, when another week of exciting, head-to-head competition is anticipated on the same course that can be enjoyed by golfers of all ages and abilities.

Only 80 minutes south of Phoenix, the award-winning Golf Club at Dove Mountain is a dream destination. The elite desert venue, where elevation ranges from 2,300 to 3,000 feet, offers incredible views of the mountain ranges that surround the greater Tucson area. Golfers can reenact the shot-making of today’s legendary players, just as Nicklaus envisioned, and fine-tune their game at the comprehensive, 12-acre practice facility.

The Golf Club at Dove Mountain is also home to a 45,000 square foot clubhouse, offering full-service locker rooms and golf shop with a selection of premium merchandise and rental equipment. Inside, Cayton’s restaurant opens out to an elegant covered patio, the perfect setting to relax with a signature beverage, or just enjoy the vibrant Arizona sunset from beside the natural stone fireplace. Cayton’s is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily and features American comfort cuisine with a Southwestern flare.

The Golf Club at Dove Mountain is a place that embodies the authentic outdoor lifestyle of the High Sonoran Desert. Enjoy the enchanting, panoramic views and the rich visual history in this picturesque retreat, where adventure and a gracious spirit of hospitality come to life.

Beatiful Course One of the most beatuiful and scenic desert courses that I have played. The entire staff was friendly and very helpful. We were required to use cart paths only on the second 9 holes. I understand the timing with over-seeding but it would have been nice to know about the over-seeding when we booked the tee time. Other wise, it was a great round on a great course. October 13, 2014
I won't be back. The course was in poor shape, the greens were a joke - very bumpy and slow. Fairways were inconsistent, a few were decent but most were scalped. No mention was made by the staff that the back nine was cart path only which is a severe problem for my bad knee combined with a cart that died early into the back nine it made for a miserable day. Finally got the cart replaced with just 2 holes to go. If you are hungry or thirsty their offerings are absurd. A can of miller Lite and a small bag of chips cost $8.75! October 8, 2014
Dove Mountain Excellent experience. Wonderful course. Sceanery beyond the normal Beauty of Tucson Golf. Great conditions. Very challenging and long. But worth the time effort and money. Would do it again in a minute. October 8, 2014
Must play ( even during overseeding) The front nine was played on over seeded conditions & was cart path only but playable. The back nine was played on yet to be over seeded conditions with good conditions however, the hole locations were nearly impossible to get close to & very difficult to putt. Overall an enjoyable day on the links. October 7, 2014
cart path only Very inconvenient having to stay on cart path, if hiking was what I wanted I could have done it for free. A lot of walking ! October 5, 2014
Seen it better Greens were slow and pitch marks everywhere. Back 9 was cart path only making for a 5 hour 15 min round...Bunkers were hard packed....expected a much better course condition than we played. October 4, 2014
Overseeding woes Greens were long, rough and pitch marks were unrepaired everywhere. Over seeding required cart path only which makes for a slow under 5 hour round tiring for golfers in their sixties. October 4, 2014
Disappointing experience The greens were in terrible condition. I thought I was playing a muni course with all the ball marks everywhere. We also couldn't find a staff person to help us other than when we checked in. The fairways were in good shape. I would not drive a hour and a half again for those types of conditions. Very disappointing experience. I was looking forward to playing the course since I have watched the Accenture Match Play for years. October 2, 2014
