Jack Nicklaus took advantage of the High Sonoran Desert setting to integrate strategy, variety and fair shot values into his Signature golf course at The Golf Club at Dove Mountain. With his first Tucson golf course in 25 years, the famed Golden Bear designed 27 holes, each a par 36 that presents unique challenges and distinct character, blending naturally among noble saguaros that stand together along the surrounding Tortolita Mountain Range.

The Golf Club at Dove Mountain's Saguaro/Tortolita course was unveiled to a global audience during the 2009 World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship. The top 64 players in the World Rankings return in February, when another week of exciting, head-to-head competition is anticipated on the same course that can be enjoyed by golfers of all ages and abilities.

Only 80 minutes south of Phoenix, the award-winning Golf Club at Dove Mountain is a dream destination. The elite desert venue, where elevation ranges from 2,300 to 3,000 feet, offers incredible views of the mountain ranges that surround the greater Tucson area. Golfers can reenact the shot-making of today’s legendary players, just as Nicklaus envisioned, and fine-tune their game at the comprehensive, 12-acre practice facility.

The Golf Club at Dove Mountain is also home to a 45,000 square foot clubhouse, offering full-service locker rooms and golf shop with a selection of premium merchandise and rental equipment. Inside, Cayton’s restaurant opens out to an elegant covered patio, the perfect setting to relax with a signature beverage, or just enjoy the vibrant Arizona sunset from beside the natural stone fireplace. Cayton’s is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily and features American comfort cuisine with a Southwestern flare.

The Golf Club at Dove Mountain is a place that embodies the authentic outdoor lifestyle of the High Sonoran Desert. Enjoy the enchanting, panoramic views and the rich visual history in this picturesque retreat, where adventure and a gracious spirit of hospitality come to life.

Fabulous course One of the nicest courses I have ever played. Difficult, so you need to hit it straight or bring extra golf balls, because they were not easy to find if you get in the desert. It was true desert course and in excellent condition, greens fast and true, and staff and food were the best. April 21, 2015
Only for the Very Elite Golfer The layout is challenging but fine and it's beautiful. However the green complexes were insane! Brutal difficulty took the fun out of our round, and my index is 6,2. I've played the great courses of Scotland & Ireland, all the courses at Bandon, Pebble, Chambers Bay, and over 25 Nicklaus courses, and loved them, but not this one! And, it's expensive. I'd skip it. My wife feels the same. April 17, 2015
Great courses and in great shape. Dove Mountain is always in great shape and is always fun to play. It's a must play in Tucson. April 6, 2015
Bring your A game This is a beautiful course and complex, but very challenging. Some say the greens are unfair. I say they are extremely difficult. Other issues are that you are not always rewarded for a good shot, and the fairways are fast and your ball can easily roll off and into the desert if you are not accurate with your shots. April 5, 2015
Very difficult course for the average golfer and unfair putting Greens are very undulating making it very unfair when putting. Many of the bunkers had little sand in them. Some bunkers just hard gravel with sand up the sides of them. If you pay over $100.00 to play this course you need to be a better than average golfer April 1, 2015
Most challenging course in Tucson I have played all three 9 hole courses. Similar thread runs through each : target golf. If you are not accurate with your irons, if you spray it off the tee, if you do not know how to manage trouble.........it can be a long day. The greens can be diabolical : very contoured and fast. Do not START your golf trip with Dove Mountain, FINISH your trip with this challenge. Facilities beautiful, clean, rustic. March 30, 2015
Best $69.00 spent this winter Great hot deal Now you know why the pros stay below the hole. Greens were trecherous March 29, 2015
Not what it once was Course condition seems to have slipped a little over previous years. Still a great experience. March 23, 2015
