Jack Nicklaus took advantage of the High Sonoran Desert setting to integrate strategy, variety and fair shot values into his Signature golf course at The Golf Club at Dove Mountain. With his first Tucson golf course in 25 years, the famed Golden Bear designed 27 holes, each a par 36 that presents unique challenges and distinct character, blending naturally among noble saguaros that stand together along the surrounding Tortolita Mountain Range.

The Golf Club at Dove Mountain's Saguaro/Tortolita course was unveiled to a global audience during the 2009 World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship. The top 64 players in the World Rankings return in February, when another week of exciting, head-to-head competition is anticipated on the same course that can be enjoyed by golfers of all ages and abilities.

Only 80 minutes south of Phoenix, the award-winning Golf Club at Dove Mountain is a dream destination. The elite desert venue, where elevation ranges from 2,300 to 3,000 feet, offers incredible views of the mountain ranges that surround the greater Tucson area. Golfers can reenact the shot-making of today’s legendary players, just as Nicklaus envisioned, and fine-tune their game at the comprehensive, 12-acre practice facility.

The Golf Club at Dove Mountain is also home to a 45,000 square foot clubhouse, offering full-service locker rooms and golf shop with a selection of premium merchandise and rental equipment. Inside, Cayton’s restaurant opens out to an elegant covered patio, the perfect setting to relax with a signature beverage, or just enjoy the vibrant Arizona sunset from beside the natural stone fireplace. Cayton’s is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily and features American comfort cuisine with a Southwestern flare.

The Golf Club at Dove Mountain is a place that embodies the authentic outdoor lifestyle of the High Sonoran Desert. Enjoy the enchanting, panoramic views and the rich visual history in this picturesque retreat, where adventure and a gracious spirit of hospitality come to life.

Beautiful desert course Great course conditions, service is excellent, regarding food... not many options and not good at all. I made my reservation online for 1 or 2 golfers only, planned my day for that, and at the end the staff paired me up with 2 more golfers... the game got slow, people behind, people ahead us. Other than this... it is a beautiful course, conditions are excellent, greens are perfect, staff is wonderful, excellent service. August 11, 2014
Great venue, tough as nails Excellent course. Very difficult, would suggest if you are over a 13 handicap to do the shorter yellow tees. Most pair fours from the copper were just too long and difficult. Two are over 430 yes, with a lay up required unless you can carry second shot over 190 yards over an arroyo. Whew! Greens are massive and undulating. On many greens, could have three separate areas (or greens ) within the green. Thankfully, they were set at summer speeds so were a little slow and very puttable. The experience was outstanding. Great views and vistas throughout. August 9, 2014
Dove Mountain - Wild Burro/Tortolita Great golf experience. Played the yellow tees (approx. 6,300 yards) and had my hands full. Course played longer, as there are several uphill par 4's. Greens in good condition, as were the bunkers, which are plentiful and deep. Undulating greens make 2-putts challenging. Carts were well-stocked with ice-cold bottled water; beverage cart appeared frequently. Driving range and putting green close to clubhouse. Overall, a first-rate golf facility. Will be back next summer when the green fees are affordable. Well worth the drive from Phoenix. August 9, 2014
Awesome staff!!! Great shape. Tough course from the tips. Leave the driver in the bag. Don't miss your target. August 4, 2014
Great Experience Expect to lose some balls to the cactus monsters but you'll still enjoy traversing around this beautiful course and the contrast with the desert. Oh, and did I say there are a ton of bunkers and they all seem to be located right where you'll be hitting. Ha! August 1, 2014
Course is very beautiful Good course layout, but players must play precision golf. Very easy to go OB. Fun course and challenging July 31, 2014
