Jack Nicklaus took advantage of the High Sonoran Desert setting to integrate strategy, variety and fair shot values into his Signature golf course at The Golf Club at Dove Mountain. With his first Tucson golf course in 25 years, the famed Golden Bear designed 27 holes, each a par 36 that presents unique challenges and distinct character, blending naturally among noble saguaros that stand together along the surrounding Tortolita Mountain Range.

The Golf Club at Dove Mountain's Saguaro/Tortolita course was unveiled to a global audience during the 2009 World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship. The top 64 players in the World Rankings return in February, when another week of exciting, head-to-head competition is anticipated on the same course that can be enjoyed by golfers of all ages and abilities.

Only 80 minutes south of Phoenix, the award-winning Golf Club at Dove Mountain is a dream destination. The elite desert venue, where elevation ranges from 2,300 to 3,000 feet, offers incredible views of the mountain ranges that surround the greater Tucson area. Golfers can reenact the shot-making of today’s legendary players, just as Nicklaus envisioned, and fine-tune their game at the comprehensive, 12-acre practice facility.

The Golf Club at Dove Mountain is also home to a 45,000 square foot clubhouse, offering full-service locker rooms and golf shop with a selection of premium merchandise and rental equipment. Inside, Cayton’s restaurant opens out to an elegant covered patio, the perfect setting to relax with a signature beverage, or just enjoy the vibrant Arizona sunset from beside the natural stone fireplace. Cayton’s is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily and features American comfort cuisine with a Southwestern flare.

The Golf Club at Dove Mountain is a place that embodies the authentic outdoor lifestyle of the High Sonoran Desert. Enjoy the enchanting, panoramic views and the rich visual history in this picturesque retreat, where adventure and a gracious spirit of hospitality come to life.

Busy Sunday It was busy day on the golf course but still was moving in good time but course was in great condition and great price Played my best round there after a good amount of knowledge of this course wish the tournament course was open to play August 25, 2014
summer golf golf course maintenanced in tucson in summer is always a challenge for the courses and dove mountain was no exception. heavy rain and hot sun have taken their toll on this course. August 25, 2014
Beautiful desert course This is truly the benchmark for a beautiful desert course. It is target golf at its finest. August 23, 2014
Challenging, but enjoyable course Beautiful golf course, but off the beaten path. Definitely worth the drive. Somewhat challenging course. Undulating greens and fairways. Do not play out of your realm. Stay within your yardage and don't play the tips if your handicap will not allow this. It will be very frustrating. Enjoying the scenery and the course and you will have a great round. August 21, 2014
Fun day on the course It's now off my bucket list. Enjoyed the day. Really good condition. Under repair in just a few areas but nothing to be concerned about. Greens extremely slow and I was glad. If they were shaved down as I had expected, it would have been a bear! For $38 bucks it was a "hot deal". August 20, 2014
Excellent with qualifiers Got a great deal to play on this scenic, J. Nicklaus PGA course. Had been there several times for the Accenture Tourney, so was excited to play the course myself. But didn't get to play the Saguaro "9", which I remembered the best when Rory/Tiger/Stentzen played it. Paired up with a couple of nice guys who had played the course numerous times. I LOVED the wide and forgiving fairways, which were in good shape, for the most part. Not in the tournament condition that I remember. Greens a bit slow. Lost a few balls in the "desert garbage", but just realized I was able to stay out of the strategically placed bunkers all round! Very enjoyable- if you get an affordable green fee- play it! Course needed recovery time after storms Played the day after monsoon storms. Course was in reasonably good condition, but soft (no roll on the fairways, etc.) Grounds crew had not completely finished repairing the bunkers. No drinking water on the course; they do give you a cooler full of ice and bottled water. NO Ball washers!!!! We needed them in the muddy conditions. August 16, 2014
Seemed like forever It was hard to believe we played in under 4 hours since we waited on every tee and fairway shot. No ranger to move play forward. Greens in great shape. Staff gracious as always just slow in front of us. August 16, 2014
