Jack Nicklaus took advantage of the High Sonoran Desert setting to integrate strategy, variety and fair shot values into his Signature golf course at The Golf Club at Dove Mountain. With his first Tucson golf course in 25 years, the famed Golden Bear designed 27 holes, each a par 36 that presents unique challenges and distinct character, blending naturally among noble saguaros that stand together along the surrounding Tortolita Mountain Range.

The Golf Club at Dove Mountain's Saguaro/Tortolita course was unveiled to a global audience during the 2009 World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship. The top 64 players in the World Rankings return in February, when another week of exciting, head-to-head competition is anticipated on the same course that can be enjoyed by golfers of all ages and abilities.

Only 80 minutes south of Phoenix, the award-winning Golf Club at Dove Mountain is a dream destination. The elite desert venue, where elevation ranges from 2,300 to 3,000 feet, offers incredible views of the mountain ranges that surround the greater Tucson area. Golfers can reenact the shot-making of today’s legendary players, just as Nicklaus envisioned, and fine-tune their game at the comprehensive, 12-acre practice facility.

The Golf Club at Dove Mountain is also home to a 45,000 square foot clubhouse, offering full-service locker rooms and golf shop with a selection of premium merchandise and rental equipment. Inside, Cayton’s restaurant opens out to an elegant covered patio, the perfect setting to relax with a signature beverage, or just enjoy the vibrant Arizona sunset from beside the natural stone fireplace. Cayton’s is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily and features American comfort cuisine with a Southwestern flare.

The Golf Club at Dove Mountain is a place that embodies the authentic outdoor lifestyle of the High Sonoran Desert. Enjoy the enchanting, panoramic views and the rich visual history in this picturesque retreat, where adventure and a gracious spirit of hospitality come to life.

Golf Club at Dove Mountain Gorgeous...and the hardest greens in the Tucson area ! December 4, 2014
But for the Greens But for the greens, I would have given this course a 5 star rating. Course layout was excellent, challenging and scenic. Very nice condition; great practice facilities; nice clubhouse and restaurant. Greens are too tricked our, though. Too much tiering makes for a bit of a mini-golf atmosphere. Be prepared for a lot of three putts and balls that roll off greens. November 30, 2014
November 14, 2014 review Pace of play slow on back nine; for the cost the course looked a bit ratty. November 18, 2014
great setting Beautiful as always. Course not quite in the condition it usually is. Some housing starts are coming so setting will change. Not sure what will happen to all the cactus. The next couple of years will be interesting for what has been a spectacular course. Sure hope that this gem remains to be a must play in the years to come. November 15, 2014
Scenic and tough Great experience. Staff is very professional and friendly. Corse was in great shape. Typical Nicklaus design with lots of fairway bunkers. Bring your A game November 15, 2014
2nd time The course has breathtaking views on most holes and will challenge even the best players. Very friendly staff. Even if its your first time playing you'll feel welcomed by the great staff. I would come back again and also recommend it to anyone else wanting to play. November 13, 2014
Gotta play this course Although the course just came out of overseeding, the conditions on Wild Burro were very good. Saguaro needs more growing time. Overall, this is a very good layout but everything needs mowing. Greens were slow (but normally fast) and the fairways are shaggy (but normally excellent). I'll play it some more. November 5, 2014
Beautiful Setting Greenside bunkers need sand, played during overseed so greens were slower than usual. November 5, 2014
