Jack Nicklaus took advantage of the High Sonoran Desert setting to integrate strategy, variety and fair shot values into his Signature golf course at The Golf Club at Dove Mountain. With his first Tucson golf course in 25 years, the famed Golden Bear designed 27 holes, each a par 36 that presents unique challenges and distinct character, blending naturally among noble saguaros that stand together along the surrounding Tortolita Mountain Range.

The Golf Club at Dove Mountain's Saguaro/Tortolita course was unveiled to a global audience during the 2009 World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship. The top 64 players in the World Rankings return in February, when another week of exciting, head-to-head competition is anticipated on the same course that can be enjoyed by golfers of all ages and abilities.

Only 80 minutes south of Phoenix, the award-winning Golf Club at Dove Mountain is a dream destination. The elite desert venue, where elevation ranges from 2,300 to 3,000 feet, offers incredible views of the mountain ranges that surround the greater Tucson area. Golfers can reenact the shot-making of today’s legendary players, just as Nicklaus envisioned, and fine-tune their game at the comprehensive, 12-acre practice facility.

The Golf Club at Dove Mountain is also home to a 45,000 square foot clubhouse, offering full-service locker rooms and golf shop with a selection of premium merchandise and rental equipment. Inside, Cayton’s restaurant opens out to an elegant covered patio, the perfect setting to relax with a signature beverage, or just enjoy the vibrant Arizona sunset from beside the natural stone fireplace. Cayton’s is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily and features American comfort cuisine with a Southwestern flare.

The Golf Club at Dove Mountain is a place that embodies the authentic outdoor lifestyle of the High Sonoran Desert. Enjoy the enchanting, panoramic views and the rich visual history in this picturesque retreat, where adventure and a gracious spirit of hospitality come to life.

Dove Mountain I had been wanting to play this course for awhile, however can only play golf on a budget. I was able to book through golfnow at a reasonable price because it was one of the hottest days of the year. Although it was crazy hot I enjoyed this course. This is probably the most difficult course in Tucson, but if you stick to a gameplan it is very enjoyable. June 24, 2015
Dove Mountain This course Will challenge all Handicap levels depending on what tee box you use. There's lots of fairway bunkers to carry over not much around the greens to bail you out and the greens are very big but they hold your shots very well. So enjoy your round the GPS on the carts are very helpfull and the views are awesome. Wish you all a great day of Golf better then work... June 21, 2015
Too Hot to Handle I haven't played Dove Mountain in over a year so when I received a special promo offer on, I couldn't resist. Although I signed up to play 18 holes, I could only finish 9 due to the oppressive heat. OK, call me a wimp but it was the hottest day of the year topping out at 108 degrees and I wasn't playing very well to boot. It seems that DM was only sending out two-somes in the afternoon so the pace of play was quite fast and we finished the front 9 in about 1-1/2 hours. In spite of the heat, the course was in good condition and the greens were quite fast and true. This is a beautiful course with spectacular views of the valley and mountains but you better bring your A game. It is not very forgiving and the greens are particularly difficult and, at times, tricky. June 16, 2015
Beginners View My first time there and my 17 handicap almost doubled. This wa my fault as accuracy and scoring strategy are key to this course. I have zero bunker ability and no facility to practice this art. This is another crucial element that will and can increase your score. However, I will return to this course and excellent establishment without question. Range, pro shop, staff snd overall facilities were beyond my expectations. June 10, 2015
GREAT!! Loved the course. Super condition. Very playable, but still challenging. Definitely my favorite in the Tucson area. June 6, 2015
AWESOME The course was in awesome condition. Greens were fantastic and staff great. If possible the food and service in Claytons was even better than 5 stars. Play this course. June 3, 2015
Awesome We played here twice on our weekend trip to Tuscon. Played all 3 nines Saguro twice. So glad we made the drive from Starr Pass. What a great facility. Staff was awesome course was beautiful. Played both rounds in 3 hours or less. Even the heat didn't bother us. Put this one on your list of best courses to play in Tucson. June 2, 2015
Beautiful resort course Excellent playing conditions and pace of play for me was only a little over 3 hours. Played as a single as I had the course pretty much to myself yesterday. For this time of year course I felt was in very good condition with the exception some of the bunkers not up to championship standards with some hardpan. Great value this time of year. June 2, 2015
