The Red Course was created by Robert "Red" Lawrence, the famed golf course architect responsible for Arizona's first desert golf course. Red is also credited with being involved with the designs of the Merion, Homestead, Westchester, and Desert Forest Golf Clubs. To this day, his work at The Wigwam perfectly complements Jones' Gold and Blue courses. With a length between its two siblings and par 72, The Red plays alongside streams and ponds set among a forest of pines, cypress and eucalyptus trees. From the back tees, the final 3 holes will make you feel like a hero or make you call your pro for a lesson the next day!

Rated 3 out of 5 by No sand They really to to get sand ok n there bunkers. It was like hitting off hard ground with rocks Other then that it was great. October 5, 2015

Rated 4 out of 5 by Freindly staff... friendly fairways I've been playing for a couple of years now and was intimated by trying club courses... this was one of the friendliest places I've been to... September 24, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great course The only problem was the address on our golf now confirmation was wrong so we were late. The staff was all very nice about it though and fit us in anyway. September 24, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by An enjoyable round Course was in good shape but getting to and through the construction at the snack bar and first and tenth tee was a challenge and could use better signage as to where to go. I enjoyed the round and had a good experience otherwise. September 20, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Dumb it down I used to love playing the Gold course but since they completed a Tom Lehman renovation I'm not so sure. They removed quite a few sand traps and essential made it a easy muni. The greens are in horrible condition but they just punched them a few weeks ago to be fair. I couldn't hold a shot as everything I sent had a ton of roll out. Mind you 1 play from the Orange tees and they were well up. I'm 67 yo and play to about a 6 but I shot my lowest round on the gold 76 with virtually no problem. I realize what they are trying to do but to me I preferred the old GOLD as opposed to the NEW GOLD. I like to have to think. September 12, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Left wanting more We arrived to find out the course had just reopened, usually not a bad thing and the pro shop told us that there had been no play for 2 months on the course so it should be great. Well, the tee boxes were the highlight. The greens were bumpy and slow, imagine if there had been play in the last 2 months. Not sure why they would open a course for play when the bunkers are still being shaped and there is new sod just laid that you need to drop from. The course layout and holes were good and when finished I am sure you won't be disappointed but sadly, I can't help feeling let down which makes me think twice about returning September 6, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Course was fairly open Had to hit good shots. If in the few trees it made course tough. Employees were cordial and helpful September 5, 2015
