The Red Course was created by Robert "Red" Lawrence, the famed golf course architect responsible for Arizona's first desert golf course. Red is also credited with being involved with the designs of the Merion, Homestead, Westchester, and Desert Forest Golf Clubs. To this day, his work at The Wigwam perfectly complements Jones' Gold and Blue courses. With a length between its two siblings and par 72, The Red plays alongside streams and ponds set among a forest of pines, cypress and eucalyptus trees. From the back tees, the final 3 holes will make you feel like a hero or make you call your pro for a lesson the next day!

Gave up on the greens Course was good, fairways in okay shape for the middle of the summer, but the greens were not up to the Wigwam standards (if there any?) Completely obliterated with aeration holes... have you ever heard of sanding them? Putts couldn't hold a straight line, very disappointing. July 14, 2014
Condition of fairways and greens - average Course shows signs of minimal maintence - maybe due to play being down? Proximity to other holes from other course can be confusing. Course knowledge after 2 or 3 rounds will improve scoring. July 12, 2014
nice layout Like the course a lot but was very slow for that early in the morning. Also, the greens were not great, recently aerated, and one was real bad(not mowed). July 11, 2014
Great but the 16th. Played the patriot/blue course. The fairways were in great condition. The greens were soft and forgiving. The 16th green was in really bad shape. It may have a fungus, but the rest were great. The course is very forgiving yet narrow in areas. The unlimited range balls are great. The lack of a putting green with holes was different. The hill filled green putting area did not play like the course greens. Also it is a course that rewards being in the fairway with open shots into the green. Several holes allow for risk taking to score and multiple playing options. July 11, 2014
Poor Condition I was disappointed with the condition of the course. Greens were very slow and bumpy (recently aerated). Fairways were somewhat spotty - hard to every get a good lie in the fairway. Hard to tell what the yardages are from the various tees as they are quite large. There's no officially marked spot on each tee as to the measure yardage to the center of the green July 5, 2014
Good summer conditions The bermuda grass is in great condition here. The greens rolled nice and were conistent over the course. Fairways were not too bad, good shape for the middle of a hot summer. Course design is nice. July 4, 2014
Open and flat Course was in good condition, some water, nice neighborhood surrounding the course. No real distinguishing features. July 3, 2014
Best value in town I drive out of my way to play at the Wigwam. Great course, very forgiving if you happen to be off the fairway, great value. The island green par 3 on16 is a very memorable hole. June 29, 2014
