The Red Course was created by Robert "Red" Lawrence, the famed golf course architect responsible for Arizona's first desert golf course. Red is also credited with being involved with the designs of the Merion, Homestead, Westchester, and Desert Forest Golf Clubs. To this day, his work at The Wigwam perfectly complements Jones' Gold and Blue courses. With a length between its two siblings and par 72, The Red plays alongside streams and ponds set among a forest of pines, cypress and eucalyptus trees. From the back tees, the final 3 holes will make you feel like a hero or make you call your pro for a lesson the next day!

Early Storm The day started out with a severe monsoon storm which left the golf in muggy conditions. The course we golfed was the patriot (blue) and was in very good shape with fantastic fairway, deep thick rough and good greens. Some damage on greens did not hamper the putting mostly on the edges. Definitely a great course with fast elevated greens. Enjoy. August 20, 2014
Watch for signs to navigate the course, it gets tricky Beautiful facility with wide fairways and incredible staff to help you find your way... August 17, 2014
lost on yardages greens were a little rough and was often lost on yardages. Played the heritage (red) course but accidentally teed off on the closed gold course which I would recommend over the heritage course. it was nice enough, especially for the money. I think I paid $16 for round, cart, and range. nice. August 12, 2014
Greens were fair and smooth The course was in great shape from the tee boxes to the greens. We really enjoyed our round. Thanks. August 8, 2014
The staff and course was very golfer friendly. A good choice for our golf outing. It provided challenging fairways and greens that were both fast and slow. August 7, 2014
wigwam gold without a doubt the best fairways so far in the valley this summer August 2, 2014
Below average summer conditions. Course conditions not as good as a few years ago. Greens are slow and bunkers need to be free of weeds and lack sand. July 30, 2014
Booked on Gold but had to play Heritage I booked a time on the Gold course a day earlier, but when I showed up they told me I was booked on the Patriot (par 3 and 4's) The guy in the shop told me they had closed the Gold that morning, he didn't know why. I opted to play the Heritage instead, as that's a regulation length course. I've played the Heritage before and it's ok but not as good as the Gold. The greens looked like they hadn't been mowed in a couple of days, why I don't know as they were pretty full...no bare spots. The fairways and tees were fine but the condition of the greens was kind of a bummer. Hopefully the Gold will be open next time I book:) July 29, 2014
