Among Robert treat Jones contributions to the world of golf was the concept of the "signature course." His work at The Blue Course is testament to the ability of a great designer to create courses with such different character. The Blue has been described as sporty and subtle. Playing to a length just over 6,000 yards, but a par of 70 the test can be a bit deceiving. Here is a creative course: one full of decisions and thought-provoking strategy. The hallmark of Mr. Jones' design can be found in the array of deep and perilous bunkers, ponds and dog-leg fairways.

tough long rough If you get in the rough you may loose your balls or add strokes getting out of it. September 11, 2014
Not Good The course layout itself is not bad, it's long, but not bad. The problem is that the rough is horrible. You can't find your ball if you are 2 inches off the fairway or green. And all it is is unmowed grass, not anything even nice looking. The greens were horrible, they had piles of dirt and tire tracks on almost every hole. I'll never golf here again. September 5, 2014
Wigwam Golf Grass was too long. Had to search for balls almost ever hit that wasn't on the fairway itself. I don't mean we chucked it in the boonies, but every just off the fairway grass was hard to find. Green were too slow too. Being a recreational golfer I don't really like US Open rough. Wigwam is a great place, just get the mowers out there more often. September 4, 2014
Heritage course money well spent Course was in good condition and would play anytime September 3, 2014
Good test from the Jones (champ) Tees I'm a professional golfer and I'd say this course is a great test of golf! The fairways are fairly narrow and the greens are very small for a course that plays right at 7500 yards from the tips. It was in good condition with good greens for the summer time in Phoenix. The 18th hole was kinda odd and didn't really fit the course, but saying that, it was nice to birdie the last. September 3, 2014
Rough conditions top US Open Both gold and blue courses have incredibly thick rough just a foot off the fairway we spent too much time looking for the ball . Other golfers seemed to be experienced the same frustration . The upside we found 26 lost ball's . September 1, 2014
Good Friendly Course course in good shape but rough was long and thick. You could see where the ball went and still not find it. Not the usual setup. Could of been due to amount of rain for two weeks prior. Unusual for Az. Good course overall. August 29, 2014
tuff rough Played 36 holes. Gold and then blue. Rough was long and tough. Lost a few balls. Overall a really fun day. Always enjoyable to play here. Cart girl (Sheri) was very friendly and around a lot, which helped because it was warm. August 27, 2014
