Among Robert treat Jones contributions to the world of golf was the concept of the "signature course." His work at The Blue Course is testament to the ability of a great designer to create courses with such different character. The Blue has been described as sporty and subtle. Playing to a length just over 6,000 yards, but a par of 70 the test can be a bit deceiving. Here is a creative course: one full of decisions and thought-provoking strategy. The hallmark of Mr. Jones' design can be found in the array of deep and perilous bunkers, ponds and dog-leg fairways.

Wigwam Golf & Country Club 4 5 326 326
Quick round Played in 3 hours. Short course, 6000 yards. Interesting layout and a lot of fun. October 6, 2014
Bad Greens & Slow Play I drove an hour to get out there and expected a nice course. For the price I paid the course was in very poor shape. Greens: Extremely bad shape. Looks like they have not been watered in quite some time. A lot of them had big chunks of just dirt areas with no grass. It was the worse I have seen anywhere all year. Wedges will not hold or stick. Fairways: The rough was challenging but nothing to intense. Fairways were decent but still mostly dead. Bunkers: No sand at all. Chips shots off of hard dirt. Pace of play: 5 hours! There were multiple groups of five-somes... Not efficient or fun having to wait 5-10 minutes every shot. Some of the hole layouts are very strange. One par 3 from the tips played about 213 and had a tree right in front of the tee box. It required a monster hook to get anywhere near the green. October 4, 2014
last minute deal. decided at the last minute to play. staff was great. course was in good condition. had to stop after 16. thunder and wind September 29, 2014
1st Timer Tough classic course that worth playing at least once. Choose the tees that are appropriate for your game. The course can be very long with the thicker rough September 22, 2014
Extreme course conditions Hard, slow, bumpy greens made putting difficult. 3"+ Bermuda grass rough not very fair; made it easy to loose ball and prevent hitting greens. Layout of a couple holes questionable. Some pin positions too difficult with green conditions. September 17, 2014
Nice round Keep it on the fairway. The rough is a chore to get out of. September 15, 2014
Great day of Golf It was my first time there at the Wigwam Gold. I found the staff helpful and very friendly. September 13, 2014
Nice layout Course in good shape including fairways and greens. Grounds crew in process of mowing the rough to a more reasonable length than had been talked about in earlier reviews. Still a course that one needs to drive the ball straight and long to be able to score. Would recommend playing once but probably will not play again this year. September 13, 2014
